Christianity has really done a number on Africans. The white man knew what he was doing when he brought that religion. It made you subservient and obedient. Praying will not fix roads, build schools, or create jobs.

Just listen to yourself, so Britain colonised you and you think China is not economically colonising you right now even when they are the ones financing critical multi billion dollars infrastructures in Nigeria and all over Africa. Keep deceiving yourself cheesy
You’re too damn dumb to see their plan. Look at how the Chinese are treating Kenyans. Africans can’t even finance their own projects or build infrastructure without running to the white man or Chinese for help. Embarrassing!

You must be another brainwashed Nigerian who worships anything foreign. China is slowly colonizing Africa but you’re too stupid to see it. This is how they treat Africans in their country.

The Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) in Awka, Anambra State, has established a teaching centre of the Confucius Institute at the Federal College of Agriculture, Ishiagu in Ebonyi State. This followed a signing of a Memorandum of Understanding by the UNIZIK Vice-Chancellor (VC), Prof Joseph Ahaneku, and the Provost of the college, Prof Justina Mgbada, for the setting up of an institute for Chinese studies in the college.

Speaking during the tour of the facility, the VC explained that the institute would afford people within the catchment area an opportunity to learn mandarin, noting that it would go a long way in assisting most of them in doing business with the Chinese.

Prof Ahaneku said the establishment of the teaching point is in line with his administration’s resolve to give the Chinese programme a national outlook. He urged the people of Ebonyi State to utilise the opportunity that the programme offers.

Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Chief Anyim Pius Anyim, who graced the event, donated an executive Peugeot 506 car to the institute to assist Chinese teachers discharge their duties.

The provost, Prof Mgbada, expressed joy on the fruition of the MoU, which, according to her, appeared impossible at the outset. She praised the VC for his tenacity, which, she said, led to the success of the partnership.

Prof Mgbada assured the VC of the college’s resolve to abide by the regulations of Hanban – Confucius Institute headquarters. Being the first non-affiliated institution to be accorded the privilege, the provost said the college would live up to expectation.

In the entourage of the VC to Ishiagu include the Deputy VC for Academics, Prof Charles Esimone, his counterpart in Administration, Prof Carol Arinze-Umobi, UNIZIK Director of Public Relations, Dr Emmanuel Ojukwu, and some staff of the institute led by their Director, Prof Yu Job.
In a related development, UNIZIK hosted the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Arts Exhibition contingent from Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The exhibition was held at the university auditorium.

Receiving the team led by Prof Wang Jun Wen, Prof Ahaneku, said the visit would open opportunities for collaboration with the university, especially in the area of medicine.
Prof Wang thanked the VC for his support to the institute, expressing optimism that the partnership would yield good fruit.

The event featured variety of Chinese music, drama, kung fu and martial arts presentations from the TCM contingent and students of Confucius Institute.

This is fucking disgusting! The Igbo language is dying and they’re promoting the Language and culture of the new colonizers? Unbelievable! At this point, Africans are destined to be a slave in their own land. The Chinese are racist and treat us like animals but we worship them. Get some damn pride! If anything, we should be learning the culture of another black tribe. SMH

I laugh when other tribes see Northerners as unintelligent Abo..kis....they are silently taking over their educational structures from Southern bred academics and professors...see the amount of scholarships offered to their indigenes.....
They would have gone for good southern professors...but they know they would dominate and Populate their system with southern brethren, knowing fully well they(Northerners) cannot do this in the south ...rather they went for foreign Profs. who would not care about domination but would mentor the Northern academics.

Take a look at Ekiti for example and see how the educational structures are rapidly falling. If you have ever schooled up North...there is a systematic plan to have Northerners...foreign trained and obviously better...to take over from southerners in most Universities... eg ABU and BUK...

I hope other states wake up...
The north have the lowest WAEC results and the highest number of children out of school. You guys aren’t taking over anything.

PoliticsAnambra Government Bans Church Services In Public Schools by igbobabe02(op): 4:07am On Oct 22, 2018
https://www.today.ng/news/nigeria/anambra-government-bans-church-services-public-schools-163985

The Anambra Government, on Friday, banned religious bodies from using either public schools or its facilities, to conduct religious services across the state.

The state Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr Don Adinuba, announced the ban in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Onitsha.

Adinuba said the ban became imperative because of the ongoing seeming ownership tussle of Bishop Crowder Memorial School, Onitsha, being contested between the state and the Diocese on the Niger, Anglican Communion.

The Church, through its legal Secretary, Mr Tabugbo Anaeto, is laying ownershipof the school.

Members of the Anglican Church recently staged a peaceful protest and subsequently released a statement, accusing the state government of its alleged refusal from allowing it to assume ownership of its property.

Anaeto, in a statement, alleged that the state government had refused to make public the report of the fact finding committee on the ownership of the school set up by former Gov. Peter Obi.

But the commissioner dismissed the allegation, saying that the school, established by government during the colonial era, had been operated since then by the state government till date.

The original name of the school began as Local Authority School under the colonial masters; it never belonged to any church.

“If they really lay claim of ownership, they should come forward with documents to prove that, but we do not want to engage in a press war with any organisation or individual in the state.

“This will not be in the interest of the people of the state to engage in any kind of press war,” the commissioner told NAN.

Adinuba explained that the Deputy Governor had granted an oral plea by Anglican Church to allow it conduct mid-week services in the school on Wednesdays.

The commissioner said the church had been conducting mid week service within the school premises but expressed surprise that it suddenly started erecting structures within the school compound without authorization.

According to him, “what you know is not your own, why take it by blackmail,” the commissioner queried, saying that every property owned by churches were documented by the state government.

“The Anambra Government has, therefore, banned religious services from being conducted in publicly owned secondary schools across the state based on our experience.

“This is because if they are allowed to worship there, it may turn out to become their own without documentary evidence,” Adinuba said.
