Pharoh:

No one is forcing you to be anioma as you can be whatever you want to be within the anioma collective identity and that is the essence of the whole thing. The most important thing is that we share and cherish things that are unique to us, focus on some certain ideologies and outlook to life etc. The same way you claim to be a Nigerian, Biafran, African is the same way you will claim to an anioma so i don't see the fuse that you have been making all over the thread. There are igbos outside of Nigeria as there are igbos in anioma nationality and at the same time igbos existing in another nationality across the Niger.

The way we claim to be igbos, yorubas, hausas but we are still part of Nigeria and africa is the same way igbos, enuani, ikas, igala, ukwuani all come together to be under the anioma identity . People evolve and decide what they want to be, the most important thing is that we do not forget good relations with other people around us. If you don't want to be under the anioma identity then you are free to link up with igbos across the niger instead of imposing igbo on every other ethnic group within anioma. Telling you that you are anioma does not stop you from still being igbo in the same way that it does not stop an Ika or ukwuani man from being Ika and Ukwuani respectively.

Well ... i respect the way you laid it out here...

Have seen any Anioma person here on this thread expressing his or her desire to join the Benin Kingdom?, we have always stated our ethnic identity here and where we belong to so keep on deluding yourself.
.

bros na by force to label anioma as an ethnic group?

I dont suport igbos in the east forcing Ikas to be igbos but i dont want anybody forcing me to be Anioma cos is just rubbish

ekpa...you must be living in obodo oyibo. Is the common man bothered with Name change of NSE or price of Garri ? And this is an analogy your shallow head will not be able to comprehend... It is everything that must be broken down for your type. No wonder we record mass failure in JAMB every year.. ishi okpukpu

People with misplaced priorities...I expect this SAN to be championing things that will change the price of Garri for the common man and not some aesthetic name change....

Better yet cleanse the current stock exchange an purge the endemic corruption that flows in NSE today... You can call a leopard a bear, a dog or a fish but it will still behave like a leopard. So Changing the name of the NSE shouldn't be of Utmost importance, if you ask me...

Answer the damn question instead of bringing this your tired example of your wife over and over again.

No one is forcing Anioma on you so you can kindly cross over to the other side and join whoever you deem it fit are your brothers and sisters. You can't be this stupid to be asking me what Anioma is after 103 pages of discussion on this thread. So why not go back from page one and read up, little uncultured kids are the ones who throw up meaningless insult everywhere so grow up little fool.

confused anuofia.

Arcsniper: u haven't answer all but never mind.
I haven't watched any of d above film
I have never watched a film.hearing people speaking igbo from beginning to the end.
But av seen hausa movies like that.
Dia channels for hausa/yoruba movie.anybody can watch them across Africa.
when I was much younger my mum will only allow us to watch africanmagic.yoruba or any other news channels.if you are not interested then you go and buy your own.
I understand and learn alot of things, many proverbs i got their meaning from dia.hearing it and reading d subtitle.i understand alot about the culture, and surely our yoruba will become more fluent in d house.
What happens to an igbo man children.they are watching English movies.what do you think will happen to those children.English words is added to dia vocabulary, they will become more interested in English. Imagine next generations of igbo watching English movies.

If they are still selling igbo movies.i mean a movie that igbo is spoken.i have never seen any in abuja here.i have seen alot of yoruba movies.

Pls I beg keep quiet, its possible 'sa njo' means something in igbo but dt doesn't mean it doesn't have a meaning in yoruba. And how can you behave as if you have a final authority over someone else's languauge.....something you don't have even up to 20percent knowledge in.......it would be foolish if I come here to rant about a name in your language..wouldn't it?
'Sanjo' in yoruba means to please someone who most probably have done good to you before.
If someone does a great thing for me or helps me....I can tell the person 'ma sanjo fun e' meaning I would repay you back,or I would be grateful or I would do the same back......so please get that into your thick igbo skull.....

nna dont prove to me ..i have said there is nothing like 100% yorooba..so which dna we wan come prove again?
Oduduwa is not 100% yorooba
Arawolwo is not 100% yorooba
then is it tinubu magaji or obinna obasanjo that wants to be 100% yorooba?

Andre Uweh: How on earth can a language spoken by over 40 million people world wide go into extinction?. You guys are joking. Even those Igbo who speak Hausa in the north or Yoruba in the west still speak Igbo language. One thing with Igbo people is that they are quick learners and quick learners learn languages so easily.
Instead of chaps here to be mentioning some languages in Adamawa or other Northern states that are spoken by 30,000, they are busy emphasizing on Igbo language. Imagine a language that is thought in higher institutions in Nigeria and in 7 states in Nigeria.
For your information, Igbo language has come to stay.

Nna i disagree with you.. I think you got it mixed up. Yes there maybe up to 40million igbos world wide but you cant assume that all 40 million igbos speak igbo. I was born and bred in warri ( I am from delta), yet my igbo no pass kedu and odinma until my adult years when i decided to correct the wrong of my youth..

You know how many igbos for warri those days wey their igbo no pass hearing? to speak dey hard dem. I am sure lots of igbos in Lagos are in the same boat..We cant treat a problem if we dont accept it first. Let's accept that there is a steep decline in the generational handling down of the language.

musiwa112: igbo boy, why are you shock that obasanjo is not yoruba. most yorubas know the history of obasanjo father. that obasanjo father was an igboman and obasanjo has never denied the story in public. his mother is yoruba.

do the two men look alike. yes. check the real picture of that man in onitsha.. and you discover that is the real picture of the man. and you can see obasanjo look like him.

the real reason he may have given obasanjo a yoruba name, was that there was a need for him to have paper in western Nigeria. those days.. So to avoid trouble of obasanjo going to school. he gave him a yoruba name. this is what the story says.

read my post again musiwa .... I said Obasanjo is a proper anambra man lol yea right (unu achorizi ya ozo?), i even went further to break down the meaning of his name in igbo and appealed for my brothers across the niger to accept their prodigal son back...

However, obj is just like any yorooba man. They is nothing as a pure yorooba man, they are all diluted people

Desmond elliot- Great great grand father is from sierra leonne
Oduduwa- is from bini abeg (he did not fall from the sky anything)
OBJ- Igbo ancestry
FKK - FUlani ancestry
Awolowo- Benin republic ancestry
Tinubu- has gwari ancestry sef.
Kwara people- half yorooba half fulani
Rauf aregbosala - thinks he is arab, maybe his great great great grand mother is aisha from yemen

Musiwa dont let me start posting maps of gwari, bini, fulani, beinn republic and arab o...
