ChinenyeN: Of all the cases of "Igbo" tag desertion, that of the Anioma will always be the most entertaining to me. At first, I found it perplexing, then annoying. Now, it's simply entertaining. Unlike the SE, in which the overwhelming majority of groups/communities claim no ancestral affiliation with Nri, the traditions of a striking number of Anioma communities recognize Nri (and also Isu) among its founding elements. It's funny to me how the Anioma can forever throw a tantrum whenever people "confuse" them as being Igbo, yet their founding traditions have sealed their fate by associating them with the one community that has become the very academic definition of "Igbo".

I tried really hard to like this, but I can't get past the Nigerian accent. I'm sorry, I just can't. It's a deal-breaker for me.

And what is up with the unnecessary slo-mos and the hastily edited jump cuts? Truthfully this is a bad trailer.

What is NIgeria accent?
There is no such thing as a Nigerian accent. That was an unmistakable Ijebu accent.

This is the problem with the of lack of critical analysis fundamentally missing in the Nigerian educational system- the system continually breeds half baked graduates that can not reason deeply but just gladly spew their ignorance at every opportunity- no offense intended but it is becoming a crisis situation

How is the poverty level and the so called non existent middle class in Osun state different from the Nigerian state as a whole?

OK:

1. Osun state is opening up its market for international and national investors who will find it more conducive to travel by air to the state rather than by road- so it benefits them and the state by the resultant investments. While Governor Obi is making daily visits to Abuja, Ogbeni Aregbe is making a convincing business case for inward FDI in Osun State. Why wont foreign investors prefer a 30 minute flight from Lagos rather than a 3 hour journey by road?

2. Osun state attracts more international tourism than the whole SE combined, for example the number of international visitors that attended the Osun Osogbo festival in 2013 is more than those that have stepped foot in the whole SE in the last 10 years. An airport will make their journey less onerous and benefit the economy of Osun state. The economic effect of that alone will triple the GDP of a lot of SE states in the long run- Fact!

3. As a result of the aforementioned, it will gradually reduce the poverty level and increase the disposable income of the Osun state people which will eventually widen the middle class population.

Next?

FKK is this you?

Anioma is not an ethnic group but made up of closely-related ethnic groups, but, they can be called an ethnic group same way you call Igbo an ethnic group. Though, there are more Igbo acceptance in Oshimili, especialy (Asaba/Ibuza)than any other Anioma area , there are many peopl from this places (I gave the estimated percentage) that are either convinced they are not Igbos or are indifferent. Many Oshimili elites are pro-anioma, while the politicians that have the intention of going federal or those that think the Igbos wil support the state creation have no other option than to accept and urge others to becos of the igbo population.

igbo acceptance hahahaha,,, come and tell my grandma for village say she no be igbo. abeg according to terry g - ChopChickenAndDie
Anioma this, Anioma that. Anioma is not an ethnic group boy. My grandmother never used or heard the word anioma growing up but Oshimili she knew.

Please I dont want to see Ifeanyi Okowa in Oshimili land again o. tell him to face Ika land whenever he touches delta state from Abuja.

It's only about 30% of Asaba, Ibusa and Ogwashi Uku that say they are Igbo while another 30% are convinced they are not igbo. The remaining % are indifferent. As am typing this comment am in Asaba and many of my friends in Asaba are from Aniocha/Oshimili and many of them say they are not igbo. You say we should stop speaking for Ika, while you are speaking for Asab/Ogwashi. Infact, I have seen and read many interviews granted some Aniocha/Oshimili elite, some say they are igbo while some say they are not; some are not even happy with Uwechue. So, while generalise that all Aniocha/Oshimili accept they are igbos. I knw that Anioma has some level of affinity with Igbo but that doesnt mean we are Igbos.

you have started lying again.. Asaba and no part of oshimili land can say they are not igbo..We know who we are so biko face ika

A welcome development. We need to open up all parts of the federation.

I believe there should be an airport in all 36 states but maybe one international airport per zone.

St_Ichimaro.Gin:

but how many?.....

PLS name them !!!

Developed countries in the world today are not all christian dominated so thats why it is wrong to say Xtian countries vs muslim countries.

Check out Japan, Korea, taiwan, singapore, Honk Kong, 900 pound gorilla china etc, they are not christain dominated per se.

Somebody mentioned Malaysia, ALgeria, Tunisia and i laff in oshimili. These countries are ahead of Nigeria 10 times but cant compare them to the countries listed above.

One thing is clear, most developed countries tend to be non islamic (doesn't mean they are xtian like i pointed above).

Just like saying all muslims are terrorists. That is wrong and far from the truth but 95% of terroristic activities in the world have an islamic connection.

If somebody kills someone because of religion, it is more likely that the killer is a muslim but doesn't mean all muslims are killer you dig?

Wrong analysis it should be rate of development in non islamic countries vs islamic countries...

I have see some backward christain dominated countries (although not as bush as islamic ones e.g somalia)
