A man, who has been in a battle for his result with University of Uyo authorities since he graduated in 2008, finally received his result in 2017 and he took to Facebook to narrate the gruelling battle that lasted almost 10 years.


Uduakobong Nquot said his result, a 2nd Class Honours in Bsc Accounting, was approved in 2008 but the university refused to give him his result, instead they claimed he had abandoned his studies in 2006.



He claimed they went on to try various means to frustrate him, including a cover up and forgery.



He told LIB: "The senate of this UNIUYO issued an official statement that I abandoned my studies in 2006 but that is a big lie.I have documents to show, in the long run,my result Bsc Accounting 2nd Class Honours had been in the University all these years.



"I feel so bad that the University has covered all that transpired.They even forged a new Master Mark Sheet in 2016 to cancel my original result in 2008.They also tempered with my files and removed my course forms and lying that I didn't submit my course forms.



"In all these the truth came out and my result was given to me close to 10 years. The trauma I went through can't be imagined."



Mr Nquot also shared a lengthy Facebook post narrating what transpired between him and his university.

Meaning of “forgery” –by virtue of section of 465 of the Criminal Code Law a person who makes a false document or writing knowing it to be false, and with intent that it may in any way be used or acted upon as genuine, whether in the state or otherwise, to the prejudice of any person, or with intent that any person may, in the belief that it is genuine,be induced to do or refrain from doing any act, whether in the state or elsewhere,is said to forge the document or writing.
This is the extent Officials of the University of Uyo can go" FORGERY".
1.The Senate issued an official statement that I abandoned studies,which is a lie.
2.Officials of this University destroyed my course forms which I had submitted during my studentship..
3.This same University produced an illegal Master Mark Sheet in 2017 with Second Class Honours in a bid to cancel my original result which was approved in 2008.
All their plans failed and they were put to shame.
God was/is with me and I defeated them.God taught me about the Freedom of Information Act 2011.He directed me to apply under the FOI Act for my examination scripts,the illegal master mark sheet with Second Class Honours and other documents.
The next day,the Head of Examinations Mrs Akpan called me and said "your result have been in this school for many years".The University refused writing to me but resorted to phone calls.So that I will not have more written evidences.
Finally I received my result despite their criminal negligence,deceit,concealment, abuse of office,victimization,theft,alteration,forgery and violation of freedom of information act.
The question to the Senate of UNIUYO is how did a student whom you had issued an official statement that he abandoned school in 2006, receive a Bachelor of Science Degree with 2nd Class Honours in 2017?
A result which was approved on 7th November 2008 but released by #UNIYO on 6th September, 2017.

Back to this forged letter of 9th August,2018.
I received this forged letter of invitation to appear before a panel.In fact one of the staff called me that I should be at the panel.
I got to the Council Chambers and met with four strange men!These men had my file and documents.
They asked for my name,which I gave them and started asking questions.A closer look at the Invitation Letter revealed this invitation was forged.
I asked a simple question "please can you introduce yourselves?
They refused,the one who claimed to be Chairman said we should continue because they are the "Management of the University of Uyo".
I presented this forged letter and asked " why is there no letter head and reference number of UNIUYO on this letter?
They were dumpfounded, the one who claimed he is the Chairman told me" the issue is that you have honoured the invitation of UNIUYO through the Office of the Registrar, so let us continue...
I was shocked and it dawned on me that these men were criminally minded. I took my phone to record, one of them said " Mr Chairman, does he have the right to record what we are doing here?
He told me "you cannot record what we are doing here".He further stated " the Secretary of this Panel is writing everything ".
Hmmm I was shocked- Forgery in the Council Chambers of the University of Uyo?A Public Institution funded by the Federal Republic of Nigeria?
I left and immediately wrote to the Vice Chancellor of UNIUYO stating among other things " This letter without reference number and logo is a deliberate act by the University of Uyo..Any invitation or meeting without a Reference Number and Official Logo of the University of Uyo as a Public Institution is null and void".
It is almost a year now,the University of Uyo have been silent about this letter and what transpired in the Council Chambers on 14th August,2018.
For their information, UNIUYO is a Public Institution and open to investigation by security agencies.
Lastly you can NEVER fight and win God.HE defeated the Senate of UNIUYO, the Professors and turned their wisdom to foolishness.

The police in Imo state are currently on the trail of 25 year old man, Chidera Nwachukwu, who allegedly raped his 70 year old Aunt, Imelda Nwachukwu, inside her shop in Ogwa, Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state.



Activist, Harrison Emefiena Gwamnishu in an interview with LIB, said the incident happened on Monday July 8th.



The old woman told us that on Monday she was in her shop where she sells Biscuit and other petty items when the young man came in and was tediscussing with her about his recent trip to Owerri. She said suddenly, the young man pushed her and she hit her head on the rack where she displays her wares. She became unconcious for a while. When she woke up, she discovered she was naked and had semen all over her body. She raised alarm and the villagers came to her rescue. They found her naked with semen all over her body'' he said



Emefiena said the villagers immediately took the victim to the hospital for medical attention. It was at the hospital he was alerted about the matter. The case has been reported at the Ogwa police station and efforts are been made to arrest the suspect who is currently on the run.



Harrison added that this act ''can't be justified by anyone. Not even a lawyer can defend the man. Mama is not wearing mini skirt or looking sexy. This is evil and we demand justice''.

It was a proud moment for Sokoto State Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal and his first wife Hajiya Mariya Aminu Waziri as their son Najib Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, was called to the Nigerian Bar on Tuesday, in Abuja.



The Nigerian Law School called to the Nigerian Bar a total of 866 graduates of the school.

Prof. Isa Ciroma, Director-General of the school, in his address at the ceremony, said that 850 of the candidates were successful after the April 2019 Bar Final Examinations while 16 candidates were from previous Bar Final Examinations.

Nigeria captain, John Obi Mikel would miss the remainder of the country’s campaign at the on-going 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

Charles Taylor

He is Jatau Alexander; a Brigadier General, now retired, of the Nigeria Army. On 29 March 2006, he was a Lieutenant Colonel and Commanding Officer of 202 Tank Battalion stationed in Borno State. Nigeria was in the eye of the storm. The country had incurred widespread odium for granting asylum to former President of Liberia, Charles Ghankay Taylor. Taylor, a former rebel leader who shot his way to power, was responsible for years of bloodletting and fratricidal wars in two countries – Liberia and Sierra Leone – characterized by mass atrocities, child soldiers, cannibalism, the chopping off of limbs of women and children and a string of other evil inventions. At the height of his terror in 1990, Charles Taylor beheaded three Nigerian journalists, hanging their heads on a post. In August 2003, fugitive Taylor ironically was granted asylum by the same Nigeria. Indicted by the Special Court for Sierra Leone created by the United Nations and followed by an extradition request, Taylor suddenly escaped from his luxury home in Calabar, Cross River State.



Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo, on a visit to the US in March 2006, was being snubbed by President George Bush. Insinuations were that Nigeria was complicit in Charles Taylor’s escape. It was with elation that Obasanjo received the news of Taylor’s capture. Thirteen years after, the Army officer who made it possible speaks to SATELLITE TIMES, in an exclusive interview.



Manhunt for Charles Taylor



Charles Taylor was captured on 29 March 2006. This took place at the Gamboru-Ngala border crossing point, in Gamboru-Ngala Local Government Area of Borno State, Nigeria. He was captured by soldiers of 202 Tank Battalion, Bama on security patrol duties between Nigeria-Cameroun borders at G/Ngala Custom House crossing/checking point. I was the Commanding Officer of 202 Tank Battalion charged with fortnightly patrols, against bandits, codenamed Operation FLUSHOUT. About a week earlier, the electronic and print media were agog with news of escape from Calabar with calls for his arrest if seen. There was a directive by the Federal Government of Nigeria, that if seen he, Taylor, should be apprehended and brought to the nearest police or any law enforcement office. The international community, particularly the US, did not find the development in Nigeria amusing. Convinced that Nigeria, which had demonstrated unwillingness to hand Taylor over to the International Court of Justice (ICJ), had orchestrated his escape, President George Bush was unwilling to receive a visiting President Olusegun Obasanjo at the White House. The call for Taylor’s arrest was, therefore, a call to save Nigeria from a national embarrassment. I put my soldiers on their toes to be on the lookout for Charles Taylor.



Taylor disguised as a rap musician

There was an early morning incident at a law enforcement officials check building, popularly referred to as Custom House at the border at Gamboru-Ngala. The office building was called Custom House because it was the Nigeria Customs Service that first began to use this place as a makeshift shelter to conduct checks and documentation of goods crossing to or from Cameroon. After a permanent structure was erected by the government, other para-military agencies were stationed there. The Nigerian Army used that building as office block and staging point for their patrol activities. There were enough offices to contain all the security agencies. This building was where people crossing the border to Fotocol Cameroun and Gamboru-Ngala Nigeria must go for documentation. Therefore, most of the law enforcement agencies had representatives or offices at the building.



About 6.30a.m., an ash coloured Range Rover approached the final roadblock to a bridge over the river that bordered Nigeria-Cameroun, just before crossing to Fotocol. The vehicle attempted to cross the border to the Republic of Cameroun. There was virtually nobody in the Custom House. However, a Nigerian Immigration Service officer was at the crossing point near the bridge that separated Nigeria and Cameroun. The Immigration officer was trying to see who was inside the Range Rover because the vehicle had dark tinted glasses. An argument ensued between the Immigration officer and occupants of the Range Rover. The commotion attracted the attention of my soldiers who were just coming in from night patrol.



The Immigration officer didn’t know Charles Taylor. Two things would have happened. He would have waved them on, seeing the occupants as some of the respectable travellers that go and come between the two countries on a daily basis. Either that or Taylor’s escort team would have overpowered him. However, soldiers of 202 Tank Battalion recognised Taylor who was wearing on his neck a big rap artiste gangster chain that had a crucifix. My soldiers were thoroughly briefed before going to Gamboru-Ngala on patrol duties, besides the 202 Tank Battalion served in Banga in Liberia during ECOMOG Operation for three years. Banga was



Charles Taylor’s headquarters, as a warlord, during Liberia’s rebel war and ECOMOG Operation Liberty. Therefore, most of the 202 Tank Battalion officers and soldiers knew Taylor. That was why when the patrol team heard the commotion at the Custom House crossing point and went to check, instantly seeing him one of the soldiers shouted “Charles Taylor! Charles Taylor!”, then they seized him.

Immediately, after ascertaining it was really Charles Taylor the wanted fugitive, my soldiers called me and informed me. As my soldiers were arresting Charles Taylor, it was then that other security agencies came to the scene and claimed that they were the ones that captured him.



Indeed, none of them was in the office then, because it was very early in the morning. They were in their beds.



At 7 a.m I had just finished morning physical training exercise at the Colonel Kur Mohammed Barracks Bama when the patrol leader of Gamboru-Ngala called me to say our patrol team had captured Charles Taylor. I immediately informed the Commander 21 Brigade in Maiduguri. He, in turn, informed the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 3 Division headquartered at Rukuba-Jos. That was how the information was transmitted to Army Headquarters, Abuja.



The Commander 21 Brigade then asked me my plan and I told him I was headed to Gamboru-Ngala to take over the escort of Charles Taylor to Headquarters 21 Brigade. Immediately, I informed my patrol team to start coming to Maiduguri with the apprehended former president of Liberia.



Unfortunately, the soldiers’ patrol vehicle was not in good working condition that could carry someone of Charles Taylor’s importance fast and swiftly on the rugged road to Maiduguri. So I directed that the patrol leader should ask the Custom for assistance with their vehicle. The Custom agreed. When I took over the convoy I directed the fugitive to remain in the Custom vehicle with my soldiers as guards.



I left went with two Hilux Toyota vehicles with eight soldiers escorts, fully armed. The distance between Bama and Maiduguri was about 70km and from Maiduguri to Gamboru-Ngala was about 145km. I met the oncoming convoy carrying Charles Taylor between Mafa and Dikwa towns. Instantly, I took over the convoy and directed it to Maiduguri, Headquarters 21 Brigade.



The convoy to Headquarters 21 Brigade reached its destination around 10.15a.m.



I handed over Charles Taylor to the Commander 21 Brigade who directed that I should be in charge of Charles Taylor’s physical security. I organised and deployed soldiers for physical security around Headquarters 21 Brigade. All unauthourised persons and media personnel were not allowed access to Charles Taylor or the building he was placed in. The only outsider allowed to see Charles Taylor was the Borno State Governor, Ali Modu Sheriff.



Taylor was armed and carried a briefcase of dollars

Inside the Range Rover vehicle, Charles Taylor was accompanied by a driver, a bodyguard and a young woman whom Charles Taylor said was his niece. The bodyguard slipped away in the commotion of his master’s arrest. He threw away a loaded 9mm Browning Pistol. The pistol was recovered. A briefcase with money was seized and handed over to the Nigerian government. In addition to the gun were two Nokia cellphones, a wrist-watch, a neck chain with crucifix, two voodoo talisman/amulets and a small amount of cash in US dollars.



Charles Taylor offered us money but we refused to accept feeling our service was to our country first and foremost. Given that he had journeyed all the way from Calabar by road, it was not impossible that he paid money to cross the dozens of police checkpoints on his way to Gamboru-Ngala border post. Had my team accepted the dollars offered to us and allowed Charles Taylor to cross into Cameroon, I don’t know how Nigeria would have washed itself clean before the international community.



Upon receiving the news of Taylor’s arrest, an elated President Obasanjo was quick to speak to CNN about it. About 1 o’clock in the afternoon, a presidential aircraft was dispatched from Abuja to Maiduguri. I was directed by the 21 Brigade Commander to lead the escort of Charles Taylor to Liberia and hand him over to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) representative and the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Liberia and Sierra Leone. The presidential aircraft departed from the Nigerian Airforce Wing Maiduguri Airport and the team left for Liberia. We landed about three hours later at Roberts International Airport, Liberia. But before we did, Taylor tried to pull one last stunt.

About an hour after we were airborne, Taylor requested that I removed the handcuff on him so he could go to the toilet. I perfectly understood I was dealing with a dangerous man. I made it clear to him there was no way I would allow him to stand up from his seat. This was a warlord who had caused the death of hundreds of thousands of people in two countries. He was ready to do anything to crash the presidential aircraft and stop it from taking him to Liberia even if it means him dying in the process. I told him that if he wanted to urinate, I could provide him an empty plastic bottle so he could do that sitting down. I did not take my eyes off him till we landed in Liberia.



On arrival in Liberia with Charles Taylor, we were met by the representative of ICJ, who was a white woman. Others were the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General; Forces Commander of UN troops for peacekeeping in Liberia and Sierra Leone (a Nigerian senior army officer – General Obiakor); Liberia’s Army Chief of Staff ( a Nigerian senior army officer – General LN Yusuf). General Yusuf later became Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff. Also, there were two Liberia’s ministers and the Commanding Officer of the battalion proving security at Roberts International Airport. I handed over Charles Taylor to the ICJ representative. She consequently stated him his rights as an arrested felon and handcuffed him. On handing Charles Taylor over to the ICJ Representative, he was also given back his personal effects confiscated from him before boarding the aircraft to Liberia in Maiduguri. He was then flown to Freetown, Sierra Leone in a UN helicopter with another helicopter used as escort.



Honesty unrewarded

I returned to Nigeria with my team. The escort team composed of me, a Lieutenant Colonel and five other-ranked soldiers. We arrived Abuja around 7 p.m and were taken to the Command Guest House to spend the night. In the morning of the next day, a Hiace Toyota bus conveyed us to Maiduguri. At the residence of the 21 Brigade Commander, the escort team of Charles Taylor to Liberia was disbanded and I returned to Bama my unit.

A South African lady, Adri Hugo who couldn't hold back her joy, took to social media to celebrate her househelp of 8 years who recently graduated with a first degree in Psychology.

Adri who said her househelp Annamore Mabhii is an inspiration to her, further disclosed that she is a mother of three, with her youngest child being only four years old. She concluded her post by revealing that Anna graduated amidst some challenges she faced, which includes her son undergoing two major surgeries for a brain tumor.

She wrote;

Annamore Mabhii, or Anna, my faithful househelp since 2011, tonight received her ba degree in psychology ba hsss. She is such an inspiration in my life! I have so much respect for her. She is humble, hardworking and conscientiously and treat everyone with respect. She is a mother of 3 and her youngest (NOW 4 years old) has been diagnosed in March 2018 with a brain tumor. He had two brain surgeries and is recovering. In the Middle of these difficult circumstances she still worked at me, took care of her family and achieved her lesson, without complaining one day. Photos show the spot where a man landed when he fell from a Kenya Airways plane as it approached Heathrow Airport on Sunday June 30th.



The body of the stowaway fell to the ground from the flight from Nairobi as it opened its landing gear while approaching Heathrow (read here). The body landed in a garden, missing the sunbathing tenant of the home by just three feet.



The 3,500ft fall left a crater in the garden of a home in Offerton Road, Clapham, South London. The body landed partly on concrete slabs and partly on a lawn, leaving a massive hole in the garden.

One tenant at the rented mid-terrace property was in the garden when the body landed just yards away from him and blood splattered all over the walls of the garden.



A male neighbour said: "He was very shaken. He had been sunbathing and he landed one metre away from him."



A female neighbour told MailOnline: "There was an almighty bang. At first I thought it was some scaffolding falling down and thought nothing more about it. My husband decided to see what was going on and went upstairs to take a look. He was obviously quite shocked and went out into the street where my neighbour was standing on the phone to the police.



"He was really shaken up. He'd been in the garden when it happened and the body must have landed so close to where he was. He was obviously quite shocked and went out into the street where my neighbour was standing on the phone to the police.

"My husband came back in and I asked him what was going on and he said 'haven't you seen the man? The man who fell from the sky?'

The male neighbour, who asked not to be named, added: "I heard a 'whomp' - I went upstairs to look out of a window. At first I thought it was a tramp asleep in the garden.



"He had all of his clothes on and everything. I had a closer look and saw there was blood all over the walls of the garden. His head was not in a good way. I realised immediately that he had fallen, so I went outside and it was just then the neighbour came out and he was very shaken."



The stowaway, who was wearing a blue t-shirt and jeans, snuck onto the landing gear of the plane at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. The plane left the Kenya Airport at 9.19am local time and arrived London at 3.42pm.



Heathrow Airport said things like this (stowaways sneaking onto planes) happens once every five years.

The Los Angeles Angels baseball team has confirmed the death of 27-year-old pitcher, Tyler Skaggs.

The announcement was made on the team's Twitter page and came hours before they were scheduled to play against the Texas Rangers. Southlake Police said he was found unconscious in his Hilton hotel room in Texas on Monday afternoon but police say no foul play is suspected.

Major League Baseball (MLB) subsequently cancelled Monday night's game. Skaggs debuted in the MLB at age 20 as a member of the Arizona Diamondbacks. The starting pitcher was drafted directly out of high school by the Angels in the team's first round of selections in 2009.

He had last pitched for the team on Saturday, according to the MLB. So far this season he has started 15 games, most recently on 29 June against the Oakland Athletics.

Super Eagles defender, Leon Balogun has hit back at critics over his role in Nigeria's 2 - 0 defeat to Madagascar at the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.


During the final Group B game against the AFCON debutants on Sunday, Balogun committed an error that gifted the opponent an early goal inside the opening 13 minutes.


Later in the 53 minutes, Nigeria conceded a second goal which confirmed Madagascar's qualification to the next stage with seven points ahead of Nigeria's six points.

A 27-year-old woman from Johannesburg, South Africa, took to Twitter to ask for help in finding the brother she never met. And she got the help she asked for.

Poet Sanelisiwe Sani Xaba shared a tweet with details about her long-lost sibling, including his name, where he was born, and their mother’s name.

She added: "I am your sister. Please retweet and help me find my brother. I need him."

Fortunately, a follower who recognised the name got in touch with Sanelisiwe and helped reconnect her with her brother who was taken away from their mother by his dad before Sanelisiwe was born.

Speaking to Metro UK, Sanelisiwe said: "I feel numb. I tweeted around 5pm. I woke up the next morning and boom! Someone knew him. It’s someone who grew up with him. I didn’t think it would be that quick.

"I met my brother, who is 34, the very same day."

She added: "I keep asking my boyfriend if it really happened. It only hit me the next morning and I just started crying in the bathroom. I was emotional the whole day. I’m at peace now. It’s like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders."

Sanelisiwe, who moved to Johannesburg to aid her mission to find him, adds that the two had been living just 30 minutes from one another.

She said: "The first time I saw him was scary, I remember we stood staring at each other for a few seconds which felt like an hour. I thought 'Oh my god, you look like Siyanda (her other brother)' and I said it out loud. We hugged and I cried. We sat across each other just amazed. I offered him water and my boyfriend offered him a beer and a joint. We sat and talked and exchanged pictures. It was an amazing feeling. The entire time I sat studying his face.

"We hugged again for a good 15 minutes."

Sanelisiwe then told her mum about finding her brother. Her mum thanked her for bringing the family together. The family is now enjoying getting to know one another.

Busola Dakolo made headlines earlier today when she revealed in an interview that she was raped twice by COZA Pastor, Biodun Fatoyinbo when she was fresh out of secondary school. She added that after allegedly raping her, he told her she should be happy it was a man of God who disvirgined her.



Reno Omokri has reacted to the intervew which has since gone viral on the internet with most celebrities supporting Busola Dakolo over Pastor Fatoyinbo.



In a post he shared on Instatgram, Reno stated that even though he isn't a fan of Fatoyinbo, Busola's story doesn't add up and cannot stand up in court or in the light of cross examination.



He further said Nigerians are too gullible and are easily manipulated.

I have NEVER liked Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of COZA for reasons that I will not say publicly. However, I am mature enough to divorce my emotions and be led by logic. And I counsel those now condemning him to do the same.

Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo is SLEEK. Too sleek for my liking. What type of sleek man will rape an underaged girl in HER PARENTS HOUSE. While HER SIBLINGS are AT HOME. And then leave her to go get a drink from his car. Is this mass HYPNOSIS.
Do we Black African of the Nigerian variety think at all? Do we only exist in the soulish realm? I have a Masters in Law from England. The story CANNOT stand up in court. The story CANNOT stand up in the light of cross examination.
I give you my word that if you gave satan 10 minutes to manipulate the minds of Nigerians, he will get a sizeable number of Nigerians to believe that Jesus is evil and he satan is good. We are too gullible, excitable

Corps member returns to his village upon receiving his NYSC discharge certificate to thank his mother who sacrificed all for him (photos)

Immediately he received his discharge certificate today, Ezeukoh Ebelechukwu, said he travelled home to show his mum as well as appreciate her for all her sacrifices raising nine children singlehandedly.

On getting my certificate, I went to d village to show my mum. what you have done for me, I cannot tell it all. my mum gave up all to raise me and 8 others, she sold every farm products for me to have the education she lacked. To the woman behind the success. RT for my mum.
