I get what you're saying, but that's not the issue here. I've had love and hate relationship with every major character in Billions, especially Wendy, but I understand them and often empathize with them. I can relate to most of them on a personal level, especially Axe. I know where he's coming from and why he acts the why he does.

With Taylor, it's different. I cannot figure HER out. SHE'S like a blank page. SHE's very bland as a character, and I hate HER for it.

That is the role the show runners want her to play. she did not tell them that she must be a non binary character. after all on "orange is the new black" she wasn't non binary. Taylor's character is supposed to be a socially awkward savant(she's supposed to be the opposite of axe). so she basically acts the role well. she might be boring but thats her role, if there is anybody you should be mad at, its the show-runners, not the character.

It's a poor adaptation. The IMDb reviews are brutal.

I haven't read the book so I don't know if it's a poor adaptation. I'm not going to allow someone else decide that for me. I don't lose anything watching it and not liking it. Probably just my time.

I watched it and liked it. And I'm now reading the book.

If the RT rating is somewhere between 60% and 100%, I wouldn't hesitate to download and watch, but 46% is just too low of a rating to warrant a watch.

My point is, RT critics are probably comparing it to the book, which is very old (and they might as well be right) but if you haven't read the book it is rather enjoyable if you are into debates about non conformity. Look at the audience ratings on RT it's 88%. But I will say this, since it's just one book and the author is dead, they can probably get 2 max 3 seasons out of it. So you do have a point not investing your time in it.

If history has taught me anything, downloading a show with a negative Rotten Tomato rating will certainly end in tears.

Furthermore, Rotten Tomato ratings influence Emmy nominations a great deal. I'm yet to see a show with a negative RT rating get an Emmy nod, let alone winning it.

Bro, Brave New World is looking more likely to be cancelled than winning any award.

Actually it is based on a very popluar book, and the tv show doesn't get as philosophical as the book. im guessing thats why it has poor ratings on RT
but i've watched the show and its actually nice. The dialogue is brilliant and i haved started reading the book to get a deeper feel.
