No point there my dear.Do u also know that anytime a driver drives on d way he put his life on the line? Pennywise: Do u know each time a doctor enters the theater he is putting his certificate on the line? Meanwhile pharmacists screw up prescriptions all the time and then replace a wrongly dispensed drug with a smile? No courts. No judge ever get to hear. |
Am glad u got a point from my post, fyi info same salary structure does not translate to both earning same amount, the only diff should be some basic prof allowances ACM10: Are you serious?! You want doctors to earn the same salary as the pharmacist who sit all day long in an air-conditioned room dispensing the prescriptions of the doctors? It will be possible if only they come to the ward and get needle pricks from the HIV positive patients or confront Lassa fever patients. There is no place in the world where the pharmacists earn as much as doctors in a hospital. So your suggestion is dead on arrival. |
You think its all about the title?think again,do you think if the Medical Doc salarry is not twice that of a pharm they would be agitating for that? zeezahbee: Who's talking about salary? Oooooo you told the whole pharm D issh was about getting a raise in salary, I won't say more to you because you know nothing about what we saying here. |
More drama yet to unfold, not until the Fed Govt come up with a uniform salary structure for everyone in the health sector, this drama wont cease. What we just read is not unconnected with the discrepancies in salaries of health workers.Let everyone be put on same structure and see if there won't be peace. |

Prior to launching BBM for Android, an unreleased version of the BBM for Android app was posted online. The interest and enthusiasm we have seen already – more than 1.1 million active users in the first 8 hours without even launching the official Android app – is incredible. Consequently, this unreleased version caused issues, which we have attempted to address throughout the day. Our teams continue to work around the clock to bring BBM to Android and iPhone, but only when it’s ready and we know it will live up to your expectations of BBM. We are pausing the global roll-out of BBM for Android and iPhone. Customers who have already downloaded BBM for iPhone will be able to continue to use BBM. The unreleased Android app will be disabled, and customers who downloaded it should visit www.BBM.com to register for updates on official BBM for Android availability. As soon as we are able, we will begin a staggered country roll-out of BBM for Android and continue the roll-out of BBM for iPhone. Please follow @BBM on Twitter for the latest updates and go to www.BBM.com to sign-up for updates about BBM for Android and iPhone. These issues have not impacted BBM service for BlackBerry. |

At last, the much touted BlackBerry’s dedicated messaging service will be fully available to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store very soon. The company yesterday announced that the BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) will no longer be exclusive to BlackBerry device users, and will be available as a free app for the iPhone and Android smartphones. The service allows you to chat and share information with up to 30 users in a single conversation, and ensures your privacy with a unique PIN which you can use when deciding if you want to share your contact information with others. With BlackBerry’s move to the Android and iOS, one wonders if it’s a little too late to compete with other popular messaging services like WhatsApp, Line and WeChat. BBM will be available as a free download for Android smartphones running Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean (Android 4.x) beginning at 7AM EDT on September 21. BBM for iPhones running iOS 6 and iOS 7 will become available for each market on the App Store schedule of 12:01 AM local time on September 22 Stay glued to ebimablog for the download link later in the day Source......ebimablog |
They came, saw and conquered on the field-of-play banging in goals for the Red DevilsWayne Rooney's brace against Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League moves him closer to becoming Manchester United's all-time highest goalscorer with just 49 goals remaining to equal Sir Bobby Charlton at the top. Rooney's 200th goal in a United shirt brings to memory United's top point-men and this article aims to pay tribute to the legends who lit-up the Theatre of Dreams at different times. 1. Sir Bobby Charlton (249 goals) Sir Bobby featured for United from 1956 to 1973 making a total 758 appearance for the Red Devils. The former England player is regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time and remains United's leading all-time goalscorer - having scored 249 goals in all competitions for the Red Devils. 2. Denis Law (237 goals) Nicknamed The King and The Lawman by supporters, Law is best known for the eleven years that he spent at United - from 1962 to 1973 - where he scored 237 goals in 404 apprearances - second only to Sir Bobby Charlton in the club's goalscoring charts. The former Scottish striker also holds a United record for scoring 46 competitive goals in a single season. 3. Jack Rowley (211 goals) Rowley featured for Manchester United from 1937 to 1955. The English striker was nicknamed "The Gunner" because of his prolific and explosive goal-scoring abilities, scoring 211 goals in 424 appearances for United. 4. Wayne Rooney (200 goals) Wonder-boy Rooney hit a brace against Bayern Leverkusen to take his tally to 200 for United. The England striker - who was signed from Everton in 2004 - is on his way to becoming a United legend if only he could show some more commitment at Old Trafford. That not withstanding, scoring 200 goals in 406 appearances for the Red Devils is no mean feat and Rooney sure deserves lots of accolades. 5. Dennis Viollet (179) Dennis Viollet is jointly tied with George Best in the number five position of United's top goalscorers. The England international came through the junior ranks at United becoming a striker for the Busby Babes of the 1950s with lightning quick pace. He was a survivor of the Munich air disaster. Dennis scored 179 goals in 293 games for United. 5. George Best (179 goals) Georgie is undoubtedly on of the greatest player to ever wear the United jersey. The Northern Irish winger was signed by United in 1963 at the age of 15 and went on to star 470 times for the Red Devils scoring 179 goals. In 1968 Best won the European Cup with United, and was named the European Footballer of the Year and FWA Footballer of the Year. He unexpectedly quit United in 1974 at the age of 27. 7. Joe Spence (168 goals) Mr Soccer as he was then known, Spence starred for United between 1919 and 1933 and netted 168 times for the Red Devils. Spence was one of United's few true stars between the wars and his wing play made "Give it to Joe" the most commonly heard terrace chant during his 14 years at Old Trafford. His first season brought 14 goals in 32 First Division games, and in his best season at the club, 1927-28 season, he scored 24 goals; 22 in the league and two in the FA Cup. However, United were relegated to the Second Division twice during his 14 years there 7. Ryan Giggs (168 goals) Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero once told Italian media that Giggs was one of his two favourite players , and gave the following memorable quote: "This is embarrassing to say but I have cried twice in my life watching a football player; the first one was Roberto Baggio and the second was Ryan Giggs." Giggs started a memorable career at United as a 17-year-old and is just 55 games short of completing a millennium of appearances for United. His emergence and the arrival of Eric Cantona heralded the dominance of United in the Premier League. The former Wales international is tied in seventh position with Joe Spence with 168 goals in 945 appearances and could still increase his tally this season. 9. Mark Hughes (163 goals) The former Wales international also appeared for Barcelona and Bayern Munich. But it was at United that he made his mark scoring 163 goals in 467 games. 10. Paul Scholes (155 goals) Scholesy is arguably one of the greatest midfielders of his generation. The former England international wasn't only great at distributing passes and initiating tackles, he was also a prolific goalscorer especially with his lethal shot. Scholes wraps up the list of United's ten leading goalscorers having notched 155 goals in 718 appearances - the third highest number of appearances by any player for the club - during his lengthy career which ran from 1994 to the end of the 2012/2013 season. On Thursday, Chelsea unveiled 32-year-old striker Samuel Eto'o Fils as their latest signing on a one-year deal for an undisclosed fee from Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala. The Cameroonian international becomes the Blues' latest signing as Jose Mourinho apparently ends his search for a striker and expectations are high - is he the man to lead the Blues in attack? And how well can the striker placate Chelsea supporters who still yearn to see a player who could reproduce the kind of performance churned out on regular basis by Ivorian striker Didier Drogba? Eto'o joined Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala from Inter Milan in August 2011 after spending two highly eventful seasons at Inter where he scored 53 goals in 101 appearances for the Italian club and delivered 22 assists as well. Before his stint at Inter Milan, Eto'o had featured for Barcelona where he attained legendary status as a goal poacher, notching in an amazing 129 goals in 201 appearances for Barca. The striker also previously turned out for Real Mallorca before his Barca days and recorded 69 goals in 165 appearances in all competitions for the Spanish side. With this avalanche of evidence, there's no dispute about Eto'o being a prolific striker who sure can score goals. However, at 32 years of age, it is doubtful if the four-time African Footballer of the Year can efficiently and consistently alleviate Jose Mourinho's attacking headaches. The prolific striker, at that age, would definitely be experiencing a decline in his output on the field-of-play and would look to rely more on his experience than his strength or quick pace. Eto'o happens to be a player who previously relies heavily on his power and quick pace to unlock opponents' defense and bang in goals. The veteran forward's power and pace would certainly have reduced. The big money move from Italian giants Inter Milan to relatively unknown Russian side Anzhi is yet another pointer to the fact that the player was interested in making some money for himself awaiting his gradual retirement from professional football. His stats at the Russian club also show a gradual decline in the player's on-the-field display. The striker only managed 36 goals in 74 appearances for the Russian club over a period spanning beyond two full seasons. With this signing, Chelsea may yet need to scout for another attacking option before the close of the transfer window as it is doubtful Samuel Eto'o is the solution to Chelsea's attacking problem. Port Harcourt – Dr. Chukwuemeka Oluoha, Executive Director, Abia Primary Healthcare Development Agency, has said that the proposed ban of the packaging of sachet water in cellophane was in the interest of public health. Oluoha in Port Harcourt on Tuesday said that the plastic material used in packaging pure water was not good for products meant for consumption. He said when a plastic material was exposed to high temperatures it dissolved gradually and released potentially dangerous cancer causing substances, called oxidants. “The public, subsequently, drinks these without knowing because it is not seen,“ Oluoha said. He said that the pure water sachets affected the environment because of they were non-bio-degradable materials. “Besides, pure water sachets are not well disposed of in our environment and left unattended, they accumulate because they are not bio-degradable. “This causes environmental nuisance and because it traps water, this can interfere with long-term fertility of the soil,“ the health director said. Oluoha commended the government for the proposed ban but urged it to develop an alternative packaging with non-cellophane biodegradable properties. “Before embarking on the ban, government should develop an alternative packaging so that the pure water producers will remain in business,’’ he said. Also Miss Uche Okekearu, a Pharmacologist, said that although pure water business had helped greatly, in the creation of jobs, public health should not be compromised. “Sometimes, when you drink pure water, it has a terrible taste which is caused by the place it is kept; if stored in a food fridge or smelly fridge, it will have foul taste. “If you store a pure water bag on bare floor, the ones at the base of the bag will have odour with bad taste and the way the package is presented can cause water borne diseases. “This is because, if the seller’s hand is dirty, the buyer is bound to drink in such dirt while sucking in the water; all sides of the pure water packaging are exposed to dirt,“ she said. Mr Maurice Okon, a pure water seller, said that every government policy should have the interest of the citizen at heart. Okon said that he was not against the ban but that the government should develop an alternative that would be simple and affordable for the producers to remain in business. “As we are talking about health, we are also talking about security and life; these people in pure water business are not criminals and most of them are employers of labour. “Government should be careful not to turn them into something else in their quest for survival since a healthy person can become sick due to insecurity or die due to crime,“ he said.
