Hello DreamChaser

...Sorry about your delay. Maybe the VO did not realize the match between both degrees like I did not. (speculations)

However, I've been more than convinced to believe there is much correlation and I strongly believe they would not fail to see that too in your next application. Put in the strongly recommended advise for a "can't refuse" application and your second app will be worth it.

BTW, i'm changing my moniker to TheDreamAchiever... lol.
TheDreamChaser:
Thanks guys. Really appreciate your kind response so far. Keep them coming. Trust me, I am taking note of all. To the moniker that told me to give up, there is a reason I chose my moniker and I am not giving up that easily! Looking forward to share that story here one day.

I'd rather laugh in Canadian, maybe to ease the wait.

Sorry Yemm, what text message do you refer to?

lol.. I wish we have the balls to. cry
yemdogg:
Two weeks..... Hehehehe I laff in Japanese grin

Expect a text message from CIC any moment from now. grin

Wait oh.....can't we go to Accra and help CIC in sorting some of these plenty applications.

Its called corporate social responsibility. grin

It would reduce the processing time.

Hello...
It depends. It could be 1 yeah but with stated objectives and points. However, it could be 2-3... with well connected paragraphs. I personally feel it should not exceed 2-3.
KayPapi:
How many pages (max) long should a SOP ?
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by Iggynasia(f): 5:02pm On Jul 11, 2016
I have a Confession!!!

Its been two weeks since my application

And it already feels like 2months.... #Sigh... I can imagine how people 2months longer in waiting feel.

We hope for the best.

Hello... Having a backup plan is good. But knowing it was gonna come through, you should have taken the online route as there is an option for that. I know while filling a form at VFS, a question is posed if you'll be needing your passport to travel to other countries in like 3/4 months.. I'm not clearly sure how it was put. For that, I dont know if you filled a Yes or a No.

If its a Yes, you cannot request for your passport back till they are done processing your application.

For your second question, I don't think you can as you'll still be needing your passport for this to be issued.

But, I believe the only thing that can be done is wait on your passport and hopefully the best comes with it. Or if it does arrive, rush out to submit with the UK embassy for a tier 4 student visa. Most applications usually takes 30 days.
However, be positive things will work out. We are all nervous because of "visa issh"... lol
Churkie:
Hello House,

Please I need help on something. I'm already considering other study destinations just as a backup plan. At the moment, I currently have an offer from a UK institution. But the challenge here is that I submitted my Canadian Visa app through the paper route. This implies that my passport is currently at the visa office.
- Is it possible to request for passport passback from Canadian visa office?
- Can I apply for the tier 4 student visa using a copy of my passport data page?

Both programs start this Fall. I cannot afford to spend another academic year because of visa "ish". Your responses will be highly appreciated.

Hello....As it is, your application is still being processed and falls under stated processing times as it has not exceeded.

Therefore, there is really nothing that can be done by anyone other than you just remaining patiently hopeful and positive. Gracefully, CIC may respond to you before the set time for your resumption.

Personally, I applied quite late (from my count of 14 weeks) and I'm set to resume September. But honestly, I've ruled my mind out on the stated resumption date as I don't know when it is I will personally resume. Only Visa approvals can ascertain your plans, making it a sealed deal.

So worry less and keep being optimistic..
Sallysweet:
Good morning wonderful intellectuals. I have been a part of this insightful innovation silently, and have read through the threads...happy to make my debut post smiley
I applied online and completed my biometrics on the 24th of May in Lagos. I am yet to receive the call for my medicals as well. I applied for PGC Marketing at TRU, kamloops. Studied Geography, however have worked as a brand marketer and specialist for the past 8 years. I finished with a 2.2 hence my decision to go for PGC. My application also gives the updated feedback on my profile. I ought to be in school on the 31st of August and resume fully on sept 7th.
Please can I get advise on what to do now. How to go about it.i read up somewhere that I am late.....but I don't think so as I still have about 5 weeks to appointment date of reporting to school and I am quite optimistic of God's favor. Please advise....God bless.

Hello... Basically, the reason has been stated in your attempt to validate.

Check properly from the first page to the fifth page. For example, maybe you've not filled out the P.O Box in correlation with the second place its been requested for. Or maybe the input of you DLI No is with a 0 instead of a 'O'.

I really don't know- thus, i'm not concluding. But just go through and check where the problem is.

Once you've confronted that, it'll validate with relative ease.

lol... From all your recent post, you are just a joker.... loool
yemdogg:
You will still need to provide proof of source of the funds in your account.

You can write a separate letter to CIC explaining the nature of your work. And if you can get attestations from previous clients, it will go along way.

Am not saying you should go and forge receipt oh....buh don't you think it will be better if you produce a receipt book ? And then write receipt for previous clients.

Then you can submit the receipts of the jobs you have done alongside your other financial documents just to prove that indeed you have been working as freelancer.

It won't cost you much to have a receipt printed for you.

Me am not telling you to lie o or to forge documents o before oga justwise will come for my a** grin

UW. I already did..
oggysena:
Thanks a lot for your advise, I applied for the official transcript. Will take a while buh will have to wait it out. Are you applying in a school in Canada?
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by Iggynasia(f): 10:16pm On Jul 03, 2016
hello... if you can req for an unofficial transcript known as SOR from your school, it might not take much time to get to you. I don't wanna advise on using the one available but you can with your certificate.
oggysena:
Thanks for the response, it's doesn't state the grades, it only states the degree I graduated with that's all. With the school official stamp and all.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by Iggynasia(f): 11:33pm On Jun 30, 2016
Hello.. Yeah, as far as it reflects grades and cgpa from year 1-4, it can serve as unofficial transcript and can be submitted.
oggysena:
Everyone in the house, please I really want to know. Do I need to apply for the Canadian student visa with my university transcript? All I have with me is my statement of result from the university. Please I need quick response. Thank you
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by Iggynasia(f): 12:14am On Jun 23, 2016
It is required you get police cert to prove inadmissibility, whether paper or online route. Its a requirement by CIC for study permit and is required by Nigerian applicants. On the document checklist, you see a box that states something like 'additional documents' by country or something. But its the last to be ticked. Cheers
sammyacbxyz:
Please is it compulsory to get a Police clearance certificate for a TRV/Study permit? Couldnt find anywhere to upload such documents nor did i see any such document on the documents checklist

What is doing this one now? Is anyone saying you should not tour the world with the airline? You wee just be carrying matter on your head like Senior Advocate. Plenty feelings is involved for him @olah23. Leave him be or better still help with the search of the 66 people missing.
Bawss1:
Story for the dogs. In one felled swoop you have taken a very suspicious singular incident and generalized unfairly for a whole country/airline. Egypt Air remains a good option for many people to travel except, maybe, for you and your little cousin.
