Congrats on your admission.. I guess it is not late to start applying.

I'm just gonna stress on your NOT using an agent. Its my opinion but if you wanna, be sure to. It does not fasten any process neither does it guarantee your visa. Reputable or not!!! Basically, I think they qualify as reputable even if they are not as they convince you and get the cash.

Work on your application yourself and be as transparent as you can, like a really interesting book that needs to be read.

I don't know the airport you may wanna come in through, but for Ottawa Intl airport, try avoiding excess fish. As well as milk and milo... As per the rest food stuffs, just like the other moniker said, declare them...those i'm certain won't be ceased. But excess fish and then beverages, I can't be too sure as I saw them collected. #NB YOW airport#

And then, which ever bags you put them in may not count cuz as long as you declare, all bags will go through search, possibly xrayed.

Grateful to God for journey mercies. BTW it's a good thing that every prospective trv holder should remain positive. It might not sound easy but in every category, trvs are granted, both PGC, Dips and Masters.

I met a girl who is now my friend while travelling through Casablanca and she is Nigerian. She got approved after waiting since March and she is going for a diploma program. Funny enough, she was not as familiar with NL. So, truthfully visas in every category are granted, some are not just heard of. Denials have their reasons and as such must be investigated thoroughly before refiring.

I'm not trying to cause any agitation, rather just to encourage people who may need it at this point.

Hello CG..

My advice on this is that your dad should be your primary sponsor regardless of who else might wanna act as a co-sponsor. If you think your aunt wanna present her SOA as proof of financial statement, why not start chipping in the money gradually or initiate something. I don't wanna advice you in a way people might seem to be wrong but with your dad in the picture, I can give you a hint on building his account prior to your application. But my major advice is that you should use him as sponsor. I will hint you more if you consider it fine to pm me.

Below is my timeline:
I submitted on the 27th of June with Upfront Medicals.

M.A in Conflict Studies, Saint Paul University federated with UOttawa. SPU concentrates basically on the humanitarian courses. I don't know exactly how its operated but I know I was directed there from UOttawa while applying for admission.

I went via Paper Route (approximately 7wks)

- All CIC forms
- My birth Certificate, Mommy, Daddy and my Older Sis. (Just the two of us but technically, i'm more like the only dependent)
- My IELTS RESULT
- My Statement of Result from Sch and Certificate
- My NYSC Cert (I finished May. Applied June after it was issued. I needed to rectify the information on job experience in the CIC form so I couldnt afford to leave my cert out) I served in a conflict zone which was practical to be included
- Recommendation letter from where I served (Ame. Uni Nig)
- Waec Results
- Admission package from SPU
- My mom's financial statements of two accounts, investment and salary. (A transaction with a relatively huge amount was carried out on my stead into her account and we had a lawyer prepare that. Of course, a mother can go the extreme so this was realistic and couldn't be term as lodging) I used only my mom as sponsor cuz my daddy is retired.
- Consent letter from daddy as a boss. (i'm his baby...lol)
- Letter of Introduction from my mom's bank (An international bank with a branch in Nigeria)
- My mom's passport travel history.
- My passport with my travel history (Just UK with three issued visas, one presently valid for 5years.) I was denied as a child with my sis but it was revoked within 24 hours without any appeal. My mom's office worked on that. I did not know this till I submitted when the issue of refusal to any country on this forum came up. I asked my mom and she was attacking me why I did oversabi. I really didnt know but was consoled it might not really count since it was revoked. Whereas, I was only a small geh following mommy.
- Mommy's pension and stock investments
- Two declared assets.
- LOE

I have not paid tuition or hustled accommodation. I was laidbac on everything till I was sure and now i feel under-prepared. The FX matter is big enough to cause kwanta but God did not bring me this far only to leave me. To every TRV hopeful, it is normal for us to feel scared or allow negativity set in. However, believe that it will work out just fine as long as your application is genuine. I had a frightening dream before I woke up to check my mail, but Satan did not realise that he has failed a long time ago. With God, all things are possible. I learnt and met valuable friends here and hope to meet more.

Hello everyone,

Soon after I posted my scared.com, I woke up and I had a mail from CIC only to check my linked up account that my application is closed and approved.

I applied on the 27th of June with Upfront medicals tho I was as sacred AF.

It took 7weeks and three days. I'll update the house when I'm relaxed cuz im just trembling with tears of Joy directed to God for his mercy in my life. To all TRV hopefuls, the best is yet to come.

This was my first application.

We are kinda in the same shoes. But you can only hope you get a reply from them before your resumption date as it may have exceeded twelve weeks after your application.

After which, a CSE might suffice if the need arises.

Just relax and don't stop being hopeful that things would work out positively... So the need for HBP don't arise. lol

Hello... If you wanna make it clear to the Officer that your uncle makes an earning through his company, I'll advise you submit both statement of accounts. The first showing company's income and the second which is his personal account standing as his own declaration and not necessarily company's fund.

Or... You can use only his personal acct and just submit further CAC docs without his company's SOA.

Photocopies of all docs. Original of admission docs and one copy of them too. Original Bank SOA.

Ask your school for the specific end data. If it doesn't match what you wrote, write to the embassy to rectify the error. We are all prone to making mistakes: man is fallible. IMO its not a big deal

Hi Uche... My mistake is somewhat similar to hers. Asides admission docs, a separate sheet was issued to the embassy from my sch and it only showed the start date of my program and its duration for two years. On the permit form, I put in the start date as also the end date but with two years difference. Like 13-09-2016 and then 13-09-2018. I don't know if this would be regarded as a mistake and affect it! Can anything be done?

Send a message about the error to accra.immigrantion.gc.ca. I doubt it will delay your application. I made certain omissions in my own application. All I did was to write to the embassy and attach a copy of the documents I forgot to add. They didn't respond to my email for a week. I sent the embassy a second mail to find out if the documents had been added to my application. I got a message from the embassy the next day that they had been added to my application and the necessary amendments had been made. A week later, my application was approved.

Hello.... Since you are linking your application on line, you might not have your app numb till your done linking it. There are otions required for you to link it and I believe the easiest is your family name and date of birth.

When you put in your family name, put in your given name the way you filled it in your application. If you have two given names, put it as that. Just the way it is in your app. And then your date and year of birth.

It should work linking up.
