Junk journalism...she is not serving suspension for sexual harassment allegations but for unruly behaviour on the floor of the senate over change of seat. This day newspaper is always a gutter publication trying to twist history |
School fees is what you pay if you need knowledge...no school is free because the lecturers have to be paid for their work. $150 is reasonable.....but demanding $10k honorarium is absurd....afterall na the people go decide wetin be honorarium not the singer |
Nwaokunkpara:Why is your mentality so negative to Nigeria? A pedophile was caught and the next thing is to start wailing about Nigeria |
![]() Kogi for show.....Yahaya Bello and Ododo don see opportunity....... Na Ebira civil war don't get involved |
tunwadanta:The Supreme court did not entertain the case. El rufai simply lied at this press conference but our media houses are just platforms for people to express themselves not a place where journalist challenge |
Woman accused her husband if sexually touching their 3 daughters.....a lie detector test showed she lied... Natasha Akpoti should be careful what she's doing...one day the international media will report her lies |
![]() Politics sha....so Makinde waited for the National Assembly to approve the state of emergency before talking. When he could have lobbied senators and house or rep members from Oyo state to vote against it...he was quiet. PDP is not a serious opposition |
Yankiss:There is no such thing as that. Read and stop relying on hearsay. The supreme court ruled in both Plateau and Ekiti that those who filed the suit have no jurisdiction to do so....The supreme court did not answer the question. Elrufai was just lying to obidients and he knows it |
![]() Wike seems to have a good legal adviser.....although he talks like a thug he mostly plays fair on the side of the law.....his opponents rely on ethics, morals and emotions....Wike first look at what he can get away with under the law and then he pushes the envelope |
Fubara literarily said publicly that he will signal the youths when the violence is to commence It was clear that the Rivers State House of Assembly will impeach Fubara and there will be violence When the first 2 pipeline incidents happened, the president said the governor did not call him to request for security or even report the incident.....indicating the governor may have directed it himself. The president's rationale is that Rivers State may soon enter a phase of civil war between Ikwere and Ijaws and discussing with his security chiefs and the leaders in the national assembly invoked the state of emergency. Justification will be debatable but the utterances from the governor and the determination of the Rivers House of Assembly is a sure path to destruction.....and if oil if affected Nigeria's economy will go further down...it is a national security issue |
See this one justifying the annulment of an election by IBB. |
ElevationD:Natasha is lying through her teeth...if Akpabio was a dictator she was an enabler...they were best pals....I don't pity any manipulator and liar |
ijustdey:The majority supported it. So you want your minority opinion to win? |
![]() These guys are not serious...if you are a serious opposition you will raise your voice and demand for vote count.....walking away is nothing but virtue signalining....it only carries tantrum weight |
![]() This woman is playing with fire...emotional blackmail will always backfire.....oyinbo is smarter than that.....they can see through the lies..... Tarnishing Nigeria's image will not win you sympathies in the UK...Kemi has already done more than enough and Nigerians are not liking it. Another Tiamiyu in the making... |
Closed? Forget it. If them never suspend Natasha now we for see live transmission via X |
Truths9ja:That is on the House of Reps not Tinubu....Tinubu has done his constitutional duty and transmitted it to the national assembly Tinubu swearing in the sole administrator before a nod from the national assembly doesn't look right to me....but them somebody said it is a power play.....all this just shows that our judiciary is weak |
Peterobiisathie:Fubara is still the governor of the state. No president can remove him from office |
This one look like military regime....see as soldier full there |
The emergency rule has not been ratified by the national assembly. What if the senate reject it? |
It's how politicians are controlled by billionaires too. They must have leverage on you otherwise they loose control. |
That is why he was a one -term president. He left the people enabling the insurgency in power. Obasanjo would not have made that mistake |
Stolen:I lived under Buhari, IBB, Abacha and Abdulsalam...and I will not wish military rule on anyone. This comments against government you make on nairaland will land you in jail....nobody will look for you....your own people will deny you for fear of being imprisoned themselves....if you wan protest you have to leave the country....don't ask for what will dehumanise you That is why in a military regime there is usually no dissension...artificial peace exist because nobody is allowed to freely voice their opinion....and any military officer caught planning a coup is killed sometimes publicly to send signals to another person considering that option. People live in fear in a military dictatorship. Imagine Abacha was the only candidate for all 5 major political parties in Nigeria...when Bola Ige described the parties as five fingers of a leprous man...he landed in jail the following day Journalists against IBB were being assassinated and NTA will be giving us lamba even though we know say na IBB dey kill them....it's unfortunate to see people celebrating IBB today....many youngsters don't know history.... Even in Burkinafaso today.you oppose government they send you to die in the battlefield...they justify all kinds of absurdities...I see young Nigerians praising it but they won't last a week in that country cos they are not used to no freedom |
Truths9ja:Nobody said nay.....if there were nays they would have voted on the matter.....na arrangeee govt. I am almost sure that it was the opposition that suggested this method so that they are not exposed on the floor of the house. |
![]() Never in doubt.....na only obedients nor sabi politics.......naija politics na turn by turn |
I remember the Obasanjo days....Plateau has had a major ethnic and religious crisis not very long. Obasanjo warned Dariye that he will declare state of emergency But in Ekiti there were no issue. No fighting.....it was just a fight between Fayose and Obasanjo......but he declared state of emergency anyways and brought in Olurin as the military administrator |
Did they both protest Obsanjo's decisions? ![]() |
Validated:You don't know the law or what you're saying Annulment means there was no election Suspension means not allowed to carryout normal functions for a period of time Removal means removal of constitutional authority permanently |
oyichi:They need just about 20 opposition senators. If the SoE fails in the national assembly Fubara will be impeached within the next 2 weeks and Tinubu will say to Rivers State we told you to accept SoE. In Nigeria if the president supports the impeachment of a governor...that governor is gone....It may still be the best outcome for Fubara |
Declaring state of emergency is legal. The constitution allows it. There is precedence in more than 5 states in the past. Implementing state of emergency is up to the national assembly. If the national assembly rejects it and the president goes on to implement it...then it becomes an illegal move for which the president himself can be impeached |
![]() No be the guy Obaseki show shege be this? Anyways Fubara was not removed but suspended. There is a difference, in politics details matters |
