Thx guys, i really appreciate your reply.
Algorithm and Data structure will make learning and programing more easy for me than a particular book per language.

dangbalabi:

If you are really serious about learning computer programming , then listen to this:
DON'T start your journey by learning a programmnig language like C++, C, Java, Python, or whatnot. First of all, you should learn the necessary programming skills, and not just a programming language. In detail, study multi-facetd algorithms and data structures. Learn about arrays, and other necessary stuff.

After these, you can delve into learning any language you want to learn. Aspire to call yourself a 'good' programmer, and not a 'specific-language' programmer. To be a good programmer, you need to learn at least a dozen programming languages.

My suggestions: one supporting class abstractions(Java or C++), another supporting functional abstractions(LISP OR ML), and so on.

Finally, so many people call themselves programmers because they are able to copy source code ,and then use it. Outstanding programmers creatively produce excellent never-been-used codes. Put in all your efforts: Programmers like to write, so if you are not used to writing, make effort to get used to it.

Religion / Higherlife Conference With Pastor Christ. by iGuru1(m): 12:53pm On Feb 28, 2010
Hello brethren,
If you're not in the Higherlife Conference you have missed alot. Because Pastor was telling us about the greater life God wants us to have,(2 peter 1vs 1-7) his talking about us being partakers of the Divine nature with God. He also explain about God's kind of Knowledge, which he called "Epignosis".
Look brethren, God wants us to live a Higherlife, the bible says "we are joint heir with God", that means we are God kind of people, associate of the divine nature.

Well, i will advice you not to miss today's meeting with Pastor Chris Oyakilome, join in partaking with the divine nature.
You can go to any Christ Embassy church, and tell them you are a first timer and you will be transported to the program to and fro, free of charge, or simply Locate LCC4 @ ikeja for the program.
Remain Blessed!! cheesy

Big big IT jargon! every one is trying to show how hot his brain is and how smart and fully compliant they are!

what piss me off the most is with all this big IT jargon that we are so used to flaunting av not yet seen a fully functional and commercialised game console designed by a nigerian programmer neither have i seen any good or partially working os developed by a nigerian!

the worst part is no one has developed a professional platform to support compilation in any African language! yet we are all speaking big IT jargon when children in china, japan, Russia and some other European countries are compiling in their native language!

Copycats!!! Empty drums that make the loudest noise!!

You're one of the most lousy Nigeria i heard of, why don't u be the first or is it a crime!
But you're rite, Nigerians program should start making a difference in Africa at least.

snthesis:

the problem with age is that as you grow older you get more responsibilities, less time to learn new things and fear of the future creeps in, which drastically impacts your zeal to overcome challenges, and the creative part of you needed to ingeniously proffer solutions.
You are correct, once a person grow older the fear of economic comes in.
So the earlier the better!

@all,
For those of you that says learning programing @ 28 is good, you should always note that there is a different btw guru and amateur.
Am not saying that its bad oh, but learning new programing language is different from starting programing (basic level)

Programming / Re: Best Operating System For Programming! by iGuru1(m): 8:04pm On Feb 22, 2010
Well, in most cases window is recognise worldwide, because we program mostly for computer amateur(average computer literate) and not guru's.
Average computer users recognise window and understand it well than any other OS. So, window wins the case! grin
