i don't think you mean harm in trying to ensure that truth prevails.

Nevertheless,that a car has a -ve title does not mean the end of it ,but will definitely influence the price.
and should be disclosed to the buyer.

Siga, you 're right but naija is quite different from us, all the cars mark for sale in us have their VINs displayed along side.naija used cars are sold cheaper b/c of some of these factors.
VIN is 100% good because it will force truth out from dealer on the approximate odometer.and gives excellent/double assurance on legitimacy of the car.i.e not stolen car.

well, the dealers have answered the detailed question, the angle i would like to take is the shipping aspect. a lot of EBay sellers are individual sellers, and dealerships that are trying to reduce inventory. I don't think they will be keen on shipping to nigeria and having to deal with the hassle of getting it to you. I would be safe and keep off. OR find someone here who can go and take a look at the car for you, know about the shipping business and ship it for you from here.
