The Senator representing Osun East Senatorial District, Francis Fadahunsi has said that the National Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC, Adams Oshiomhole, was by his behaviour exhibiting traits of the head-boy of a primary school.

The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has called on Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo to prevail on the Nigeria Ports Authority, NPA, to work with his Government in creating the right environment for the development of the state.

He made the appeal during the commissioning of the Port Harcourt Dockyard Liquid Waste Management Treatment Plant which was commissioned by Osinbajo on Friday.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has condemned the charade being presented as the inauguration of new Houses of Assembly in Edo and Bauchi States.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Katsina State has revealed plans to drag Governor Aminu Masari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to court over his educational qualification.

Legal counsel to the PDP, Goddy Uche, SAN, said Governor Masari had no requisite educational qualification to contest the last governorship election.

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) on Sunday advised people in possession of its certificates to guard them well, saying it will not re-issue on account of misplacement, fire, flood or theft.

The council’s Head of National Office, Mr Olu Adenipekun, gave the advice in an interview in Lagos.

Adenipekun said the advice was necessary as lots of people have been approaching the council at various times for a re-issue of the lost certificates.

“Let me make it clear that in the real sense of it, our certificates are issued only once, irrespective of who is involved or the circumstance that led to the misplacement, and that remains the truth of the matter.

“We do not issue our West African Senior School Certificates Examination (WASSCE) twice.

Imo West Senator, Rochas Okorocha, has cautioned his kinsmen against the misconception of the term ‘Igbo presidency.’



Mr Okorocha, while addressing journalists after being sworn in as Senator on Thursday, said such an agenda could not have existed as it was impossible to hand over power to a region without due process.
