RomanceRe: An Overly Controlling Man by iice(f): 5:56pm On Nov 17, 2010
Leave him.
Eventually you lose yourself and become an extension of him.
Some controlling people tend to be abusers.  If you misstep, he will blame you for driving him to punch you or shred you emotionally and mentally. And you would readily agree because you sense of self worth is dictated by him. Some control is good but like everything else, too much of something is a bad thing.

Though i don't see why people have to tell you everything that's bothering them.  Somethings have to be worked out personally before sharing.  As for sharing emotions, it's not easy or acceptable for everyone.  Sometimes, over time some people see that it's easier to share emotions and other times they still remain so.
RomanceRe: Insight-you Would Know Better Than I by iice(f): 5:48pm On Nov 17, 2010
freedomfro:
If your gf out of the sudden started going through your things and accusing you of cheating due to her insecurities, and trust issues, then apologized, what would you do? (This sin't the first time she's done it, although she promises it will be the last.)
freedomfro:
^^ Ok, well what if the relationship started with him telling lies such as his age, or past history, therefore it's hard for her to believe anything he tells her.
Are you ok?
From one extreme to another.  It's like 2 different people inside one body.

How do insecurities and trust issues happen all of a sudden? huh

What makes you ladies think others can be re-built when yours cannot?
It's not a ladies thing. It's a me thing.
And no breaking trust does not equal cheating as it is with most tunnel vision people. There are many ways to break trust.
I tolerate alot of things but there are somethings that should be carefully thought out.
I make it a point to stress that out in any relationship, be it romantic, with family or with friends. . .i no send all these ties that bind people, if you break my trust, you will never have it back. Simple.

yeah.she doesnt pull away, sometimes she doest mind if i pick the calls but i dont anyway. she claimed to have told these guys dat she has a serious relationship.well,to my best of knowlege.she is very faithful to me. but it bothers me to know the number of men disturbing her.
She seems very attractive and you'll have to come to terms with guys disturbing her. So long as you know she's true to you then don't let it bother you too much. Like i said, you can occasionally mention it to her though, sort of to keep reminding her that you're still there.

thank you - I have noticed this emphasis on money and how big your house is and how many cars one has as if that is all one needs to live a peaceful and comfortable life.
lol that's all most people think about hence their conclusions why people left or that not having those things makes you in some ways a lesser individual. I always say misplaced priorities. . .with such mindset, it's no wonder our politicians and people in power are doing all they can to hoard more money, houses and cars. . .
FamilyRe: Ladies Who Hold On To Their Father's Surname In Marriage by iice(f): 5:06am On Nov 17, 2010
@OP: Personally, I would NEVER take on my husbands name [if /when I ever get married], nor would I hyphenate it. I see no reason as to why I should. A woman is expected to take on a man's name but not vise versa? Oh please, give me a break. I never liked the idea of a woman changing her last name just because she marries some man. If that is the case then the man should do the same or hyphenate his name as well. I'm not much of a marriage person but if I ever do get married, I won't hyphenate nor will I change my last name and if anyone has a problem with my decision, then they can go jump off a roof.
Or convince him to take your name grin

coded777:
Brethren,
can TRUST actually be rebuilt in the real sense of it whether in a relationship or in marriage. maybe its only a hoax and can never be rebuilt. while some still stick to the analogy that  "Once Broken Twice shy" does this apply to trust?
If truly trust can be rebuilt would it ever return to be what it use to at the initial. if you've once had a broken and rebuilt trust, convince me with your experiences, and what steps you took to re-build your trust with your partner.
left for me, i feel Trust is not something amendable once shattered.
You're welcome, pls.
Yes it can be rebuilt but never to what it used to be.

Personally, if my trust is broken, it will never be rebuilt.
