I need to first let you know that DEM NO DEY RUSH FILL DS160. Get a Visa Date First, Start the filling 1month to the interview day. Do it a section after the other.

And again, L.MAO. Make person come in person for the filling up help? Lol. No nah.
This is 2021, where do put Technology? You can be put through over the Mobile (phone or system). Worst case schedule a zoom or Google meet meetings, but it is not even up to the Case.

Again, there is still time, just get other things (i20, appointment date) set, let ds160 be your last thing to do. Yeah, you can get a visa date before ds160 filling.

When the actual time comes, and you have gotten stuff from the bosses and maybe still need insight on Ds160 filling, you can reach out to be as your LAST option but I no fit come OSHODI FOR YOUR CASE oh. Lol

Y'all Listen Up, I was the guy who was having issues with my PayPal account in making my GRE payments for additional score report, @keagan quoted my post with his number, telling me to reach out so that he can help me with his American PayPal account(I noticed he has since deleted that post from this thread) and see if it works, since I sent the money and the payment didn't work, the @Keagan guy had since stopped picking his calls or replying his text messages, 09077864983, I have contacted my Bank and his bank and they confirmed to me that the money was not sent, on running his number via my True caller I realized that he's been a serial Scammer which made someone to save his number with it, personally 13k is too small compared to the 100's of thousands I have spent in this admission journey but then I'm just putting this out here so that non of you all will fall victim of these dubious individuals, it's my bad that I didn't do my due diligence before transacting with him but when the opportunity comes I'll teach a lesson he'll never forget just because of 13k, that's the only promise I'm making him, be safe you all. My answers to you are as follows :

1. Best thing to do is to defer your admission , scholarship or no scholarship
2. You do not have to pay a new sevis fee, even if you decide to change the school, you can instead request for sevis transfer.
3. Emergency appointments are not given to those who have benefited from it in the previous six months. That is it is after six months of a previously scheduled expedited appointment before you can apply again. It is to give others chances.
4. You only have a minimum of two times to reschedule an appointment including the initial one. For every new appointment you will have to pay a new mrv fee.
5. You can fill in a new ds 160 and update your profile with it. There is a post here on how to do it or call the contact center of the us embassy to assist.

While all the denial were flying around I kept praying and asking God to come and do what only him can do.
I was really worried that he might ask why i haven't resumed as 6th Jan was written on my i20 and my school insisted on getting a visa before they can issue an updated i20 even though I printed email correspondence to show that I have started one online class. That means I didn't go with an extension letter even though my school had already resumed.
In all, God showed up for me and outdid himself as usual.

Truthfully I no say I really Bleep up.
Some lessons learnt although the settings of the environment was absorbed. I wasn't expecting to have my interview while standing with many people behind me listening to all I was saying. I initially imagined it to be behind closed door and seated like a proper interview. That idea of standing to talk to someone seated behind a glass still doesn't make sense to me.

Any which way, we move to try again latter, congratulations to everyone that received their visa at this time

I remember picking the word passport and i-20. The moment I noticed she took my passport and didn't use her left hand to pick the blue paper, my mind was screaming "it's a lie"


The atmosphere was really bad today Chelsea FC just full Abuja embassy today. I would say 1 out of every 20 that went in was given white paper. I had to pinch myself if I wasn't dreaming.

This visa thing is not even by how fluent you might think you are. I was shaky throughout. At a point I told myself "Ayo, tiẹ ta". At that point I forgot what my thesis is about...I saw guys that were very fluent and even confident... na Blue paper dem collect.
