Damn, this woman dey vex o! This letter was written by a blogger known as Ngozi Kanwiro (www...com) to Cossy and Tonto Dikeh. The unscrupulous lifestyles of Igbo NOLLYWOOD Actresses, Cossy Orjiakor and Tonto Dikeh are just becoming too unbearable. This duo has ignorantly and intentionally refused to stop their no-longer interesting/entertaining lifestyles that are now tarnishing the image of the Igbo female group as a whole. It is so disheartening how Cossy has continued to tarnish the image of our Igbo sisters through her dirty lifestyles that now give all Nigerians the impression that Igbo ladies are all prostitutes using their bodies to climb to the ladder of fame in all works of life, whereas in reality, it is not true, rather it is being practiced by few unscrupulous Igbo girls who have nothing else to offer to the Nigerian society aside exposing their God-given feminine physique in sexual-appealing manner to gain popularity, and by giving out their supposed holy-bodies to men (married and single) so long as he can pay the price. Please Cossy and Tonto, Nigerians and most importantly, Ndigbo are no longer finding your ugly, dirty lifestyles funny, please you girls should turn a new leaf this new year and embrace God in your lives for your own good. You two maybe thinking that you are on top of the game, but you are only causing yourselves more harm than good, and if you ladies refuse to change for better, you will surely reap a negative fruit in future to come. Finally, I am using this medium with other mediums to follow, to call on the Ohanaeze Ndigbo society to please write personally to Cossy Orjiakor and Tonto Dikeh to change their lifestyles as soon as possible, and if they fail or pay deaf ear, then the Ohanaeze Ndigbo should write to NOLLYWOOD, PMAN, Nigeria Censorship Agency, and every other entertainment industry in Nigeria through the major national dailies in Nigeria, to ban them from participating in Nigerian entertainment industries of any kind. This is so sad because they are no longer entertaining Nigerians but rather teaching the upcoming Nigeria youths bad moral conducts. Just see the unimaginable picture an African woman of Igbo origin posted publicly online in the name of entertaining her so-called fans. Yes, such rubbish can be done in the west, this is Africa, Nigeria and this also goes beyond to tarnishing the name of Igbo tribe. Spread this message as fast as you can. Thanks. |

Elton John and David Furnish have become parents for a second time. The couple welcomed their second child, a son on January 11. Elijah Joseph Daniel Furnish-John was born in Los Angeles to a surrogate mother. The baby weighs 8 pounds, 4 ounces. The couple says they are “overwhelmed with happiness.” John’s spokeswoman Fran Curtis confirmed an announcement on the singer’s website. 65 year old John and 50-year-old film producer, Furnish are also parents to 2-year-old Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John, born in California in December 2010, also through a surrogate mother. They told Hello! Magazine that “the birth of our second son completes our family in a most precious and perfect way.” “Both of us have longed to have children, but the reality that we now have two sons is almost unbelievable,” they told Hello! “The birth of our second son completes our family in a most precious and perfect way.” In an interview with the Guardian last year, Sir Elton said: “I think it’s difficult to be an only child, and to be an only child of someone famous.” “I know when he goes to school there’s going to be an awful lot of pressure, and I know he’s going to have people saying, ‘You don’t have a mummy.’ “I want someone to be at his side and back him up.” http://www.ynaija.com/modern-family-married-couple-elton-john-and-david-furnish-announce-birth-of-their-second-child/

On Monday 14th January 2013, three men were stripped naked and beaten in Ekwe, near Umuka in Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State for supposedly being homosexuals. The pictures of their ordeal in the hands of members of the community have gone viral, eliciting a range of reactions from Nigerians. Among those who have strongly condemned the action is Steve Aborisade, Founder/Coordinator of the Nigeria HIV Info, a group dedicated to the protection of the rights of people living with HIV/AIDS. In a letter to Rochas Okorocha, the Imo State Governor, Aborisade said the men were yet to be released from the location where they are being held in Umuka, Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State and called on security agents to quickly respond to their plight. In the letter titled: Gross Abuse Of Human Rights Through A Homophobic Attack On Three Men In Ekwe Area of Imo State, Aborisade condemned the “inhuman treatment” meted out to the men and said being homosexual does not give others the license to trample on their rights. While acknowledging that several Nigerians find the practice of homosexuality strange and unnatural, we also realize that it does not confer a license to trample on the rights of people who engages in it, with the sort of inhuman treatment that was meted out to these them. So many informed commentators, including Nobel Prize winner, Prof Wole Soyinka have commented on the scientifically proven fact that more than anything, gays are just victims of biology. We note and condemn the prevailing adverse legal and social environment that most LGBT now have to face in Nigeria, being criminalised for their sexual orientation and being made a target for harassment and violent assault fuelled by the on-going debates by the nation’s parliament on criminalizing homosexual acts. Instead of being singled out for harassment and prosecution, what this community deserves is support and access to sexual health services that they lack as citizens of this country. The LGBT community remain a high risk group to HIV/AIDS infection, yet it is a community that has been denied of all access to life saving HIV/AIDS services. We suggest that our parliamentarians should devote equal energy at fishing out and punishing our treasury thieves who are doing more harm to the continued survival of our nation instead of dissipating energy on an issue that borders on private morality. We enjoin other rights group to show solidarity and ensure that the rights of sexual minorities are protected like other marginalized groups in the country. http://www.bellanaija.com/2013/01/17/human-rights-group-condemns-the-stripping-beating-of-3-men-in-imo-state-for-allegedly-being-gay/ |
