Ah, It has arrived!!! *Dancing Azonto* ![]() Vlisco’s latest striking ‘Funky Grooves’ collection; and recently fashionistas, press members, dignitaries and VIPs were treated to seeing these visual treats on the runway with three exclusive fashion shows – a first for the 166-year old Dutch company known for its luxury fashion fabrics. The first show hosted by super-comedian Jedi was held at the Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos on 2 September, where the stunning Funky Grooves fabrics were simply draped and tied on the models for the first catwalk, and then shown as completed outfits from Vlisco in-house designers in the second and third catwalk. Lagos designers Ojoma Ocheja Sanusi of AEEA (Aesthetically Eclectic Eccentric African) and Caterina Bortolussi of Kinabuti (www.kinabuti.com) presented their own fabulous Funky Grooves designs in the fourth and fifth catwalks. There was more in the form of entertainment though as Project Fame season three winner Chidinma belted out her hit songs.

I don't watch Tinsel even though I have heard some good things about the show. I haven't taken out the time to bother watching it but I'll check it out online. But I find these series interesting.. its a 3 minutes video blog but feels like longer because of the setting and it's fun to watch. I dunno maybe its just me but I like things that are different, and this series certainly is. |
Not too sure about those pants but like the style

I fell in love Chidinma after watching “Kedike” more than that it's her down to earth and calm composure. Since her rise she has shown us a variety of her versatility from her anthem, “Jankoliko” to her cute love song, “Kedike”; her bumping Hip-Hop record, “Emi Ni Baller” featuring The Suspect & IllBliss or even her features with the likes of Tesh Carter and more. Now, she’s here to tease us with a few very cute new photos showing off her preppy yet Afrocentric style. Loving how more African designers are using the Ankara very creatively these days too.
