budaatum:They are generally on AM and I'm sure you can find an internet podcast to compare. If you repeatedly hear it, even if you are more discerning, some nuggets will stick with you and like a seed eventually sprout. The Republicans have brilliantly done it. They intermingle it with Sports Radio as well. And sports is so often tied with "being a man". It was where these ideas propogated in the past. Haven't tuned in, in a while. Rush Limbaugh was one of the pioneers. You're more discerning so I'm sure the small amall C-span nuts will be more comical to you. But imaging listening to just that vitriol and conspiracies for 2-4 hours a day. |
bemeruca:Factcheck: Bemeruca does not live in the USA. He has never been to the US. Why he continues to actively lie about it is anyone's guess. He is either severely mentally ill or purposely pretending to be a US citizen to push mis/disinformation. |
ObaIgwe1:Bemeruca is the embodiment of a MAGA voter. He sees politics as a soap opera. And understands little outside of that. As you said, those 3 states don't matter if she winds MI, WI, PA. But 2 of those 3 states Trump has problems with the Senator/Gov Republican nominee. I'll see this is an outlier until another poll shows similar results. I still think Harris can pick up NC esp. given the craziness of the NC Gubernatorialcandidate. |
ObaIgwe1:I blame AG Garland and by extension Biden. Garland was too soft for the job. He cared too much that he would seem political and biased if he made some of these moves he should have made. So, by not making it he was political and biased in the other direction. He hasn't gotten the memo, Republicans will call you political, no matter what you do. They opened up a weaponization committee and used it to weaponize the DOJ against the President's son. So, Garland should have just done his job. He didn't meet the moment and in turn Republicans are still doing the same things. As to the public, it's not really their fault. The Right has weaponized propaganda in News and Radio since Reagan got rid of the fairness doctrine. It's hard for people to believe that people would get on TV and outright lie to you. And some people don't have the time and/or know how, to do the research themselves. Democrats are losing that battle. Look at this thread. I keep telling this story. I once did a drive from MA to NC to knock on doors for the CLinton Campaign. I like listening to NPR as I drive and decided to listen to talk radio instead to get a feel of it in that area. Holy Sh*t, the amount of vitriol and lies against Clinton was astronomical. Halfway through, I almost thought she was the devil. Had to shut it off. And this is what millions of people listen to daily. |
Obrigardo:I've been hearing about this Doc. A lot of this story has been previously reported/commented on by a couple of people I follow (emptywheel for one), for a while now. That's why I was so sympathetic to Hunter and kind of pissed at Joe Biden for not fighting back harder, earlier. But, will check it out. |
Ibime:I was referring to the Trumpers on this thread who were lauding his numbers when the numbers said Trump had a ~60% chance of winning. The problem for me is that his model is not transparent, so we don't know what goes into his probabilistic outcome calculation. I've been a fan of his in the past, and was ok with that in the past. But things have changed since 1.) he started offering more punditry since he got fired from 538 for his terrible 2022 predictions. 2.) he started working for an election betting company owned by Peter Thiel, Vance's mentor and a big Trump donor in the past. We'll see if his integrity holds and how his model fares when the election results come in though. |
ogbonti:A lot of confusion in this post. 1.) Harris is not desperate, Trump is scared. Since 1976 Presidential Nominees have done at least 2, in the recent era 3 Presidential debates after they had been officially nominated. This year Trump and Harris did 1 (the one with Biden, was prior to the nomination). Harris wants to honor the fact that Presidents should debate so Americans can decide. I think that is a principle everybody should abide. You, on one hand say Harris is hiding, and on the other give Trump a pass for not wanting to debate. Pick a lane. 2.) Can you point to the poll that 40% of Americans wouldn't have voted for Biden if they "knew the Hunter story was true"? You won't be able to, because it's made up. Americans came out in force in 2020, because of how poorly Trump handled Covid and the exhaustion of Trump. You guys keep bringing up Hunter Biden's laptop. Why would the deeds of the son of the President matter to any voter? It's silly. Republicans launched an impeachment inquiry, subpoenaed Joe Biden, his children and his family for information. They had Nothing. Have you heard about impeachment since? No. 3.) The pollsters did miss in 2016. A lot happened in the final weeks esp. the Comey letter. A lot of independents broke for Trump at the last minute. Trump was unknown then. The pollsters modified their polling some more after the 2020 election. They said they accounted more for Trump voters. In 2022 the polls were more accurate. But in 2024, Trump is a known quantity and Independents, college educated voters and women are fleeing from him. Everyone is cautious about the polls, esp. given that Reproductive Rights will be on some ballots and that has seen an increased turnout in every state it's been on the ballot. Tough year to poll, for either direction. But most polls have Harris leading and in most swing states. That being said, Kamala has the energy right now. Trump is on his back foot and needs the debate to shift his narrative from his poor performance and lies about Haitians eating Dogs. The reason he won't do a debate is that his Campaign team are scared he'll shit himself a few weeks before the election. They are making a good decision and for once he is listening to them. If Trump was confident he would win, he'd do that debate. Period. As to Kamala, she did a good job during the last debate, but still missed some good opportunities. Debating a liar like Trump isn't easy. But she learned how to handle him and how to effectively goad him. And if they did a debate again, she'd trash him worse. Listen, she set a trap for him. Say no to the debate and look scared, do the debate and shit himself again. No win either way for Trump, who always said to Biden, he would debate anywhere, anytime. Guess he's scared of a woman. |
Adakintroy:For the last time. They are legal to work in the US. They did not come to the US for those jobs. It's like me, a citizen, deciding to move there to take that job. It is open for anyone! Take some time, study (read the story), formulate an opinion based on facts, then write another post. Right now you sound like a xenophobe and are wasting my time. |
New Silver All the people on this site lauding his polls should trust him right? I'm going to treat him like Rasmussen.
|
basilico:Do you ever stop. Google it. You posted something you didn't read and if you did, didn't understand. And you are behaving the same way the study said conservative would - fearful and with less ability to error correct. |
Adakintroy:I didn't draw up a backstory. That is what is happening based on the reporting and the words of the Republican mayor of that town. Use google. There's been tons of reporting on this. The town was dying and the white citizens of the town were either on drugs or didn't want the jobs that were newly created. So they basically put up a Help Wanted ad and legal immigrants moved to this town. Again, these were LEGAL IMMIGRANTS, allowed to work, taking jobs that the residents didn't want. And all this started under Trump in 2018. Now you can dislike immigration, but you can't make up the facts of this story. How an Ohio Town Landed in the Middle of the Immigration Debate Why Thousands of Haitians Have Settled in Springfield, Ohio |
CoronaVirusPro:That wouldn't even move the needle on an amendment. That might exert pressure for Congress to move on an assault weapon ban but that's not even a sure thing. |
CoronaVirusPro:I don't even think we need an amendment, just new justices who won't interpret the 2nd amendment the way the rubbish right wing justices have. Here is the 2nd amendment. Conservative justices pretend the first part (a Well Regulated Militia) doesn't exist. "A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed". |
descarado:Guns are enshrined by the 2nd amendment in the US constitution. They won't be going away anytime soon. The question is, can/should the Federal government regulate them to prevent things like the mass shooting at schools. |
PDJT:I'm sure you understand how highways work. Unless the laws are similar in every state, what prevents people who are already doing illegal things from illegally bringing guns into Chicago? |
JovialJune:She was the Attorney General of Califorinia. The Castle Doctrine (Right to use reasonable force including Deadly Force to defend against an intruder) is the law in California. |
Some of theses posts he wrote. Wish I didn't read them.

It's US Election time. If you are eligible, and you haven't yet, Register to Vote here: https://vote.gov/register will direct you on to how to vote in your State. Each state has its own Registration deadline. Some states give you multiple early options from Mail in Voting to Early Voting to Drop Boxes. If you are going to use Mail in Voting, send the ballots off as soon as you can. Last year there were a number of delays by the Post Office If you have Registered to Vote, you can check your Voter Registration Status here: https://www.vote.org/am-i-registered-to-vote/ There have been some shenanigans of some States unenrolling people. |
ogmask:Is that a President or VP's job? To make lies go viral? At the expense of the citizens, in fact your own supporters? They were told early Sept. it was a lie. And still repeated it. The governor of Ohio, a Republican, has told him it's a lie and they still repeat it. Expect better from your leaders. Here is the Republican Governor of Ohio's Press conference. He is even too scared to tell Trump to stop. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SlBdR7FpVMs |
NybenSBF101:It confounds me, why Nigerians support Trump. The same sentiment he has about Haitians, he has about Nigerians. He thinks Nigerians, just like Haitians are from a shithole country who won't return to their huts . Forty thousand had come from Nigeria, Mr. Trump added. Once they had seen the United States, they would never “go back to their huts ” in Africa, recalled the two officials, who asked for anonymity to discuss a sensitive conversation in the Oval Office. “Wait a minute,” he lectured them in an Oval Office meeting. “Why do we want people from Haiti here?” He said that Haiti was among a series of “shithole countries” whose people had little to offer. Can’t we just leave Haiti out, he asked the lawmakers. The legislation never passed and Mr. Trump worked to make it harder for Haitians to immigrate. |
elganzar:Trump has been promoting xenophobia. |
illicit:Well done. |
Adakintroy: Adakintroy:That is not the story. The story is one of a town selling out to Big Business and the town leadership not doing the prerequisite work once they did. The town was dying and so the leadership gave sweetheart deals to big companies to open factories there. I'm sure there was corruption involved, kickbacks and some of the town leadership probably owned real estate they knew would appreciate. So, the companies needed workers. The townspeople were on drugs and wouldn't take the jobs as the businesses say (predominately white Republican town). So Haitians heard about the jobs and started moving there in droves. Now, these are all legal immigrants, some even permanent residents. They are supposedly getting paid $19/hour with a 401k and paying taxes. Again, the town didn't prepare, so now the healthcare system is overrun and housing has gone up (probably some corruption there). And all this started to occur when Trump was in office. But again, this is a Republican town, with not wealthy white people, so why should they care to actually do a feasibility study before giving sweethearts deals to big factories. You know who needs regulations and competent government and such. So one hand you love that your town is growing and no longer dying and making money on the other hand you hate them black people. Which do you think will win out? |
raumdeuter:Can I ask a question? Who are you and what have you accomplished in life to speak on this? You say you're not a victim, have you attained great success, great wealth, been to great schools? What have you done? No. What is seems you are good at is running your mouth on Nairaland. You're a coon. Who tries to excuse racism by acting like those who point out racism are victims. You aren't fighting it, aren't helping anyone. Just running your mouth. Shit, in my circle you'd be worse than white racists. You're the type of cat noone wants around. Probably why you relate to other coons like Bemeruca. You two probably sit around trying to decide who the biggest coon is. |
Obrigardo:He said he's staying in the race. I guess if he dropped out he wouldn't force other politicians to decide whether to be seen with him or whether to criticize him. Lol. I hope Stein has some reverse coattails for Harris. This is a well deserved disaster for Trump in NC. |
Obrigardo:Lol. Dropping out won't help. Ballots already printed. That's what you get when you play identity politics, thinking black people will vote for someone just because he's black. |
Obrigardo:He said Black Nazi. lol Bemeruca's probably mad he didn't think of that himself. Shit, he may change his moniker now. |
basilico:And why should I waste energy googling anything you've posted? Have you made 1 rational point here or said anything insightful ever? No, just nonsense after nonsense about shit you don't even understand. You keep posting walls of text about matters you have 0 clue about because someone posted them on the deep crazy webs on the Maga Net and they fit into some nutty conspiracy of yours you've concocted. Here's the rub, even if I made US 10k, I would have made more than you did probably the last 2 years combined. You can't be a bum trying to joke about what someone else makes. |
bemeruca:It's weird that someone supporting Trump would even want to talk about Word Salad. Do you think Trump gets a pass because he's white? And this quote makes sense if you understand what she is trying to get across. Sometimes people who live in a community see children who live in the community (a physical place) as just random children. But in fact those children who live there are a part of the people who live there, a community in the family/kindred sense, and thus everyone has a duty to look after them. So she put an emphasis on "community" the 2nd time she said it. Did I particularly like the linguistic flourish? No. Did it warrant a gleeful nonsensical post from anyone? No. You spend so much of you time on this gotcha politics. It's esp. odd since you spend so much of your time supporting a man who is barely coherent even on his best day. Spend your life on shit that matters, like learning about positions, thinking about policy and coming up with a consistent story of when you left Nigeria. |
basilico:Please stop quoting me on this random nonsense. And learn to quote articles. You plaster a wall of text from some random third party without any citation. And 99% of the time it's wrong. Why the fux should I give a shit about the random words you post from some random place. |
