raumdeuter:Captain Intellectual Dishonesty , It's odd that you run your mouth so much yet stay so uninformed about the shit you run your mouth on and are consistently wrong about them. I don't understand how people like you, basilico and bemeruca exist. Usually people have some sort of shame or embarrassment reflex that prevents them from saying rather stupid stuff. You guys run around here as you are some high achieving, high IQ people who have deeply thought about these issues, not the clowns you are that uncritically regurgitate Tik Tok videos and are constantly proven wrong about them. There is a lot of literature out there you could easily google. You can also google and read the Lewis Voting Advancement Act and actually argue the laws the Dems proposed instead of some straw man. But again, you are intellectually dishonest. Your Ego, in pretending you right is greater than your Intellect, in actually learning and analyzing so you can be right. |
raumdeuter:It's a good thing you don't right policy then. Because you speak with a privilege and an inability to look beyond yourself. A lot of people don't drive. A lot of older people no longer drive. A Lot of young people don't drive, esp those that grew up in the city. So, no, not everyone has a license. In fact it's the very poor who usually don't have a license because they can't afford a car. A lot of people don't bank. A lot of people cash their checks at check cashing places. Again, it's the very poor who don't bank usually because they can't get an ID or messed up their Chexsystems report so they can't get a bank account. A lot of people don't drink or smoke, so no need for ID to get that. And to get an ID requires you to have identification (Birth certificates, etc) you may not have or takes time to get. And then when you do get it, it requires you to usually take a day off of work to go wait in line to get the id. I'd consider that a poll tax esp. if you are an hourly worker. And if all you need it for is to vote, people may choose not to get it and not to vote. That is the perspective most Dems are viewing this issue with. No one is inherently against ID to vote, but they are against roadblocks being put up to prevent people from exercising their right to vote. I am comfortable with ID as long as the state makes it as easy as possible to get, even having people come to your house to help you get that ID or provisional voting and then an easy process to verify the person without an ID. Look at Nigeria and what happened last election. Too many stories of certain people being prevented from getting voter ID's or certain Voter ID's going missing so certain people wouldn't vote in the election. Again, you should read the Dems voting bill to get perspective on this. |
raumdeuter:There has been a long history in the US of Black Voter disenfranchisement, through various methods including poll taxes. The Democrats introduced the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act that allowed for Voter ID as long as it made it easier to obtain. But those facts wouldn't fit into the space between intellectual dishonesty and gaslighting your reside in. |
bemeruca:Have you ever has a US ID? No, because, even though you pretend on the Internets, you don't live here. So, if you haven't, stfu as you wouldn't know how frustrating it can be. |
bemeruca:I know I'm not posting pics pretending they were taken in the US You can clearly see the question, why don't you want to answer it? And answering would have taken you less them than this nonsense you wrote. You posted the picture, so you should know where it was taken right? Again, US or not?
|
bemeruca:So, you ran away again. Let me show how it's done. I'm calling you a liar, I'll post receipts of you lying, I'll ask you to explain your lie and you'll run away because you're a liar. So, tell me again, is this still a picture of the US?
|
bemeruca:So, you got nothing. Got it. You are bullshit wrapped in bullshit. Lies on top of lies. Tell me again, Is this the US or not?
|
bemeruca:I'm sure you know Trump better than Erik Erickson. You and Basilico are always wrong.
|
bemeruca:Show me where I lied. Imagine this illiterate was trying to talk about someone else's English. |
basilico:Are you also upset at how Trump "casually downplays baby murder"? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ot95upckLY |
bemeruca:You see facts that are inconvenient and cover your eyes. Well, unfortunately for you, you won't be voting. lol But, to some in the pro-life movement, his comments were a bridge too far.
|
1stGenAmerican:Lol. I think mostly everyone knew that the moment he posted them. Lol. |
Trump is going to be nervous after this interview. They spent such a good amount of time setting a low bar for her and she easily stepped over it. |
bemeruca:We all know you have a hard time with the English language. Read it slowly, and use your fingers if that helps. Or put it into the same ChatGPT that you used to use to write your posts and tell it to translate it to something a 5th grader would understand. You mentioned the Green New Deal. I have always believed, and I have worked on it, that the climate crisis is real, that it is an urgent matter to which we should apply metrics that include holding ourselves to deadlines around time. We did that with the Inflation Reduction Act. We have set goals for the United States of America, and by extension, the globe, around when we should meet certain standards for reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, as an example. That value has not changed." |
basilico:Might be helpful if the TikTok video you got this from gave you the whole quote.
Kamala is doing a great job.. so far. Great contrast between Trump. I like that Walz has barely spoken, and when he was clear and confident. Good interview so far. Israel/Palestine question was a lil weak. She needs more practice there. Surprised she wasn't better there. |
basilico:This is gibberish, you sound like you have no idea of what happened in Afghanistan basilico:Yes, 13 troops died. Anytime a soldier dies is a tragedy. But, they are troops, there to fulfill missions in dangerous places. If you are this angry about those 13 troops you may want to check out how many troops died in Afghanistan and Iraq. It's clear your rage is manufactured. That's why 13 troops who died under Biden seem to matter more to you than the 65 who died under Trump. |
bemeruca:You are not a serious person. You are trumping a person who talks like he constantly has a concussion. And all your posts read like a Bot wrote them in Russian and then a child translated them to English. Have you figured out how to conjugate verbs yet? You of all people should really stfu about anyone else making a linguistic slip. |
SpaceX:That is exactly the point. Biden came in after Trump had negotiated a military withdrawal reducing the US troop force. Biden had to either add more troops to resist the Taliban or continue to withdraw. He chose to withdraw. 13 Soldiers died. All loss of life is terrible but that would have paled in comparison to the loss of life if Biden would have added more troops to continue fighting a 20 year war. Loss of life is terrible, but that is also the nature of war. People monday morning quarterback as if they are comparing to a perfect scenario. 65 soldiers died under Trump, 13 under Biden. If you look back on it, no matter how bad it looked in the moment, it was a good decision calculated by loss of life and the billions of US dollars spent. But again, when has Trump visited the graves of any of the 65 soldiers who died under his watch? And why do you think some soldiers deaths matter more than others? July 24 — At a rally in Phoenix, Trump again boasts, “I started the move out of Afghanistan,” adding “I think it was impossible for him [Biden] to stop it, but it was a much different deal.” |
SpaceX:Was there a message there? You sound like a crazy person in the middle at the street howling at the moon. |
bemeruca:Tell me is this the US or not?
|
basilico:Again, show me when Trump went to the graves of the 65 soldiers who died in his administration during their anniversaries. What makes the 13 soldiers different than the 65 who died in Afghanistan when he was president? |
SpaceX:Simmer down and take your meds. You're inner crazy is peeking out again. |
basilico:The family does not own Arlington. They have to follow the rules just like everyone else. They also do not speak for the other's buried there. That is the purpose of the Arlington rules. They took a picture with a gravestone of someone whose family did not consent to that. Then he took the video and made a campaign ad out of it. |
basilico:When did the active conflict stop in Afghanistan? Lol. Cognitive dissonance huh? In Trump's time in office 65 Troops died in Afghanistan. In Biden's office 13 troops lost their lives so they could leave Afghanistan so that no more troops would die. 65-13 is a win any day of the week. And again, when did Trump go to the graves at the anniversary of those Troops that died? Did Trump explain what those troops died for who died under his watch when he decided to surrender and pull troops out? |
basilico:Lol. What an answer. Lol. I wasn't sure there were two different Afghanistan's on the map and wasn't sure war zones were characterized differently. Lol. The depths Trumpers go through to rationalize their cognitive dissonance So there were 13 deaths in Afghanistan in Bidens 4 years vs. 65 deaths in Afghanistan in Trump's 4 years. Seems like Biden had the better policy. And btw did Trump ever go to anniversary of the 65 soldiers that died in Afghanistan under his watch? |
bemeruca:Mr. tough guy. I'm sure you follow the rule of keeping people's family out of your mouth.. Lol. Rules for thee but not for me. |
reccy:seen |
reccy:Hey, don't have access to the emails on these accounts. And nairaland won't let me change them. |
Konkoja:Honestly, reading the posts on this forum has left me more pessimistic of Nigeria being a governable country. As you said too many posters believing all manner of nonsense and conspiracy theories. And too many people treating politics as a team sport, supporting all manner of nonsense (racism, corruption) from their candidate, as long as they think it helps 'their' candidate/team win. I would assume that given what is going on now in Nigeria, people would have opened their eyes about the danger of this team view of politics. |
LordAdam16:This sounds so sycophantic.
|
LordAdam16:Lol. You're a conspiracy nut. Even forming conspiracies for a country an ocean away on every and anything. You're one step up from Basilico. Hunger is strangling people's minds in Nigeria. |
