I'm not sure if catarrh has anything to do with loss of appetite or anything of such. Have you tried steaming; rubbing of shea butter, palm kernel oil, baby mentholatum or palm oil on forehead & nose bridge? You could use nose bulb to extract the phlegm or use your mouth. The mouth usage is rather safer, if I may say.
!Did u recently introduce new meal to him/her? That cld also be d cause if YES. My son always had catarrh when fed a particular brand of cereal, so, we changed to another. Dust can't be ruled out to

Anti malarial, anti biotics seems like a lot of drugs for a six months old. Was it a pediatrician you saw?

As per solid with hassle, it's completely normal. This is Someone that has had only one type of food, one taste (b.milk) for 6 months. He is ready used to it and set in his ways. So of course any other taste will be hassle, especially for a baby that is not adventurous.

Just keep feeding him in bits and bits. He will acquire the taste for it. I read on baby centre or somewhere that it takes 22 feeds for a baby to acquire a taste.

I started weaning my baby (with cereal and purées) at 4 months cuz she refused formula, it was a struggle too, some days one spoon other days not at all. But she liked water a lot just the way you have said. But now at 6 months she takes one puree in the morning, then cereal in the evening. All without fight. I am now introducing second foods like youghurt, mixed purées and regular food.

So be patient and consistent. Those are the two ingredients for weaning. Hugs

Ur baby takes yogurt, mine HATES its, u mid to see his face wen I gave it to him and he hates formula.

Good. That's how they start...little by little.... Keep trying. He might also want to play while eatn too. My son sometimes won't eat if he's restricted but would do if he's free. There were days he won't eat if his mum try feeding him with another spoon/bowl until she changes to his desired one. Also, maybe your hubby should try feeding him sometimes....if he has a fav toy, give him while attempting to feed him. Make feeding be fun to him - in any way possible.

moniella, you can start using nido. it is also a product of nestle. i switched my son to nido when i used peak 123 and he was stooling after nan 2.

Ijeoma2728, my lil man was like that too. nothing bad in late teeth. teething is by genetics. if u had your teeth late, my child might do so as well.

6xtyA, you should have gotten pcm, lonart and amoxilin. those are d basic treatment for malaria for a child. dont leave malaria in your child o. also try and get a mosquito net. it is very economical.

mojayo, abeg watch the way you give pcm to ur baby. indiscriminate use of pcm affects babies liver.

So I went thru the whole thread *wipes sweat* to intending couples from my little experience (almost 2yrs in my marriage) concerning d in-laws ish, whoever ur hubby loves more in d family love d person more at the same time don't start you can't finish ooooo , at least its working for me.

I tink u shed go 4 a malaria test,cos wen he was down he refused to eat. Try other types of food too egg, fish , chicken, potatoes etc

I mix it with yam, carrots , lil butter nd small maggi.Yes it blends it well use d stock nd remove d skin nd bone b4 blending. U can also blend beef

Hello mamas nd papas hope you had a lovely weekend? my 9 month old son hates milk , tried the yogurt to no go area, yesterday I was taking hollandia evaporated milk,while I was with d can he struggled with me so I gave him a sip nd he LOVED it ,

Pls is der any baby milk dat has almost same taste cos I've tried nan nd sma .

I've also tried sneaking it in *for where* he doesn't take pap nd his basic diet is yam, carrots, butter, chicken or liver puree den I add a lil spice.he also takes fish nd egg.d only milk he takes is bossom milk.is it OK?

Firstimer: Hello house. I put to bed 4days ago n my breast milk started flowing yesterday. My baby poos almost immediately after every feed. Should i be worried. Som1 suggested i apply silverbird oil on his head dat the stooling wil make him not add weight.

I get d silverbird stuff ,used it for my son , but it was diluted.mix half bottle of baby oil wit a bottle of silverbird.I use Johnson.
