Wks my lo had dis strong cough n catarrh gave him antibiotics, vit c d cough got stronger one night n he vomited sometins dat looks like mucus and was breathing very fast ftm like me was very scared mil and family doc was not around the following morning I rushed him to general hospital gbagada. Na so one amateur doc asked me to run a test and xray on my lo ignorant mom like me rushed to do d test n xray came back to d hospital n d mumu second doctor cudnt read d xray without knowing xray results he refer us to luth that dey will give lo oxygen imagine just like dat. Lucky for me my family doc return my calls and was very mad at me for doing xray dat my baby is too tender for it immediately I went home n my doc was already waiting he read d xray n say lo is perfect dat it was bronchiatis whatever immediately asked me to boil water he gave my baby warm bath, massage with hot water and steam bath asked me to back him immediately n he fall asleep asked me to do it for 3days n lo n behold his breathing went back to normal and asked me to continue with vit c my baby is very fine now except for D cough which is just lil.

The cough will go on its own. It won't just disappear. If it lingers for too long(i hope not) let your doctor know.

Yes you can use it for babies.
Just let baby inhale the steam. The bucket should be ...lets say at the door post, while baby is in her car.

We've been doing steam inhalation with eucalyptus oil nightly for about 4 days now, it actually relieves her and helps her sleep for about 5 hours after it's done but then the symptoms keep coming back.

So sorry. Is she breathing fine?cos my son's breathing changed when he had cough and catarrh .His PED said he had bronchitis.
His was Nebulized,given antibotics and methol crystal.
By the fourth day he was fine.

I noticed a lot of mamas complaining about their kids having persistent cough. Please if your kid is given antibiotics the first time and it does not go do not administer again until a proper diagnosis is in place . My first son was always coughing right from when he was about 6 weeks old. His cough will be with vomiting and after a while you will notice him struggling to breath. We kept going to hospital and being given antibiotics and this episodes were going on like every 3 months. We eventually found out that he had issues with his airway and colds or catarh triggers his coughing and causes all the other issues. We had to get a nebulizer(it's like a steam inhaler) and now once he starts sniffing he uses his meds via the nebulizer . He has stopped taking antibiotics as that was the wrong treatment .

So true. Nebulizer works very well. Every pediatric unit is suppose to have it.

Nights like this are the worst, she hardly slept and the catarrh isn't letting her breathe well. I'm officially desperate, how do I make the palm oil and sugar solution, how much sugar and how much oil to give how often.

Drop some in a bucket of HOT water and let the steam saturate the room. You will have to close the door and windows.

I am glad to announce the birth of my baby gal...ifechukwu Samantha oranefo... My priceless jewel...who made her entrance into the world by 8.45pm...weighing 3.2kg...it was a vaginal birth...BS coming soon...tanx to my able capo giddyperson...and to those who prayed for me...God bless u all and mk it easy for u wen it gets to ur turn...mk I rest small...

So Friday was my antenatal. The night b4 I felt wet. So I complained to the matron on duty and requested 4 scan form (I was running away from V. Examination ). She sent me to doc who confirmed it was my fore water. She asked me to come back when I feel pains or latest Sunday.

Got home and packed my stuff.
By my app calculation I was 38weeks , but at d hospital I was 37weeks.

Still draining fluids and scared of infection went back to the hospital. I was admitted  And given antibiotics to ward off infections. When my contraction  was irregular, painless and still at 2cm. They decide to induce me.

Serious pains started by 9 on Sunday, I was contracting really fast, looked at the drip, it was dropping fast and I felt it was abnormal, had to call the midwife t to reduce it. When she came, she turned it off totally!


Mhen!!! It was painful. The student nurses had to take turns to rubb my back,  which made the pain to subside a little abit. 
By 1 felt the urge to poo, they thought I was joking cos few minutes back it was 7cm.
Reluctantly she came to check.




Ha! It's the baby's head ooo,
Madam chill ooo"she said.
With one ĺong push, my adorable Prince popped out! Wasn't  given any cut.
I thank Ģod for everything. To this adorable group, thank you so much.

Sorry about your predicament, I can imagine being in that kinda pain plus this big belle. Google oil pulling and see if that would help. Paracetamol helps too and try brushing morning and night and use mouth wash after meals.

I've been wondering what Braxton hicks is sef, and if I would recognize it when it comes. I've been feeling this all week and just waiting for my ANC on Saturday. Mine doesn't come with pain sha, but it feels like she kicks then her leg hooks there for some seconds before she slowly relaxes it. She doesn't kick as wildly as she used to before, but I think that's cuz she's grown bigger and no much space to go wild like she used to. I just hope she's turned cuz at my last scan 3 weeks ago she was head up and chilling. I'm 32 weeks, 1 day today by LMP date and i just googled and google said BH contractions can start as early as second trimester sometimes, but mostly around this stage we are in, so guess it's normal.

Thanks you, didn't experience it dis early in my previous pregnancies. Once I stress myself a little bit. BH will just start. Carrying low do have its pros and con's,free from heartburn but waist pain would be ur bff.

Yes ooo, I am so experiencing it mine too comes with a very mild pain at times. The waddling for me no be here at all, my stomach be like say I go born in 2weeks time. Am getting tired already at 32weeks. God pls see us through

God help us o. But can we really stay and watch these children not eat? LO rejects everything. Puree, cereal, pap this morning, mashed stuff. I now allow hunger to mama him, even when obviously hungry he'll protest and cry but at least he'll agree to swallow the food. Then as soon as he finishes eating he'll start laughing.

We eat only 3 times now, that's only three spoons of cereal all day. I load as much milk as possible per plate.

May God help us and may that baby rest in peace.

feed him lyk every 3hours, add egg to his diet and dnt joke with his multivitamins

Mamas, I have come again, pls is it true that If one is exclusively breastfeeding, its a form of birth control. 6weeks postpartum and fully back to duty but dey fear make anoda belle no show till am ready, should I carry-on with knacking as sincerely I no get strength for medical birth control. What did u mamas do to keep pregnancy at bay after delivery? Pls Don't read and pass oh!

Pls don't depend on b.feeding alone o ooo, it worked for me the time.
The 2nd time it didnt work oooo (even with CD sef)took in when my baby was 9months.
Uda water was mentioned here. Tho I'll suggest you meet you gynecologist to discuss the right b.control suitable for you.

Never knew weaning a child was this hard o lol but now I jst keep asking "jst how do people do this? " cos the look my son gives me whenever I try to refuse breastfeeding him (after the plenty kicks, slaps, face scratching, deafening screams etc o) jst breaks my hrt to pieces like i'm wickeding him when the thing is there n still soaking up my clothes sef n I end up giving him. Even en papa don dey fight us on top ds weaning matter; everybody yaff taya for us. I promised to wean him end of this month, d month is almost gone n I still dnt have d hrt to get gangster n start d weaning process

Wean him gradually, choose either night or day.
During the offer substitutes like snack or any drinks he like's. Distract him with toys tooo
After a week or two, you stop b.feeding at night, this will also help reduce your supply to avoid engorgment.
Mummy is happy and baby is happy.
