Everlastingson: This is how evil you people are. For years you have fed fat on the blood and sweat of others. Your cup is almost full. You are happy when many suffer coz of your selfishness. You have fought for years to sabotage other regional ports from being operational so that all the money will be yours. At the same time you cry that Igbo who are attracted to Lagos primarily because of the port facilities are taking over your land. Enemy of progress you are. What stop Jonathan from changing the system in 6 years he spend in power? Some of you people just love blaming other people for your failures |

iwaeda: The assault triggered panic, leaving vehicles abandoned on the road as people scrambled for cover.
Tension erupted on Tuesday evening in Eruku, a community in the Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, after heavily armed terrorists launched a coordinated attack, forcing travellers and residents to flee into surrounding bushes for safety.
Sources told SaharaReporters that the attackers stormed the township through one of the major entry routes, firing sporadically as they advanced.
The assault triggered panic, leaving vehicles abandoned on the road as people scrambled for cover.
Eyewitnesses reported sustained gunfire ringing across parts of the community as the terrorists moved deeper into the town.
A traveller who escaped the scene recorded a frantic video while hiding in the bush. In the shaky video, he repeatedly pleaded for security intervention as gunshots echoed in the background.
“This is 18-11-2025. On my way coming back from the Federal Poly, Bida, Niger State, we were coming through Ilorin road when they started shooting. Everybody has scattered into the bush,” the panicked traveller said.
“Please, come to our rescue. We are in trouble. They are shooting everywhere. People have abandoned their vehicles. The community is in chaos. Please help us.”
Residents said the attackers overwhelmed the area, causing widespread fear and confusion.
As of the time of filing this report, details of casualties or arrests remain unclear, and authorities have yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
Eruku and adjoining communities have experienced repeated bandit and terrorist incursions in recent years, heightening concerns over worsening insecurity along the Kwara–Kogi–Ekiti axis.
This latest attack has once again raised alarm about the increasing boldness of armed groups operating across Nigeria’s North-Central region.
SaharaReporters earlier reported that gunmen suspected to be terrorists had abducted a timber supplier and one of his workers in Okoloke, a community in Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State, plunging residents into renewed fear as kidnapping cases continue to rise in the area.
SaharaReporters learnt that the victims were seized while carrying out their work on a farm in the area.
The attackers reportedly stormed the site unexpectedly, shooting sporadically and forcing the workers to flee in different directions.
One of the labourers, who narrowly fled the scene, confirmed the incident and told community members that the kidnappers overpowered the timber supplier and one of his staff before whisking them away into the forest.
Communities in Yagba East and Yagba West LGAs — particularly those sharing borders with Kwara State — have been experiencing a disturbing rise in armed attacks, kidnappings and other violent crimes in recent months.

nbisi: Good day house, pls can someone educate me on the above because we keep borrowing.. Thanks Foreign reserves are a country's holdings of foreign currencies, gold, and other assets, managed by its central bank or monetary authority. They are used to settle international transactions, stabilize the domestic currency's exchange rate, and provide a buffer during economic crises. Purpose and uses International trade and payments: Reserves provide the necessary foreign currency to pay for imports and other international obligations without putting excessive pressure on the domestic currency. Exchange rate stability: Central banks can intervene in the foreign exchange market by selling their foreign reserves to influence and stabilize their domestic currency's value. Economic stability: Reserves act as a financial buffer to protect against balance of payments deficits and other economic shocks or crises. International confidence: A healthy level of foreign reserves can boost confidence in a country's financial markets. Components of foreign reserves Foreign currencies: Major global currencies like the US dollar, Euro, and Japanese yen are commonly held. Gold: Many countries hold a portion of their reserves in the form of gold. Special Drawing Rights (SDRs): These are international reserve assets created by the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Securities: This can include government bonds and treasury bills from other countries. Deposits: Central banks hold reserves as deposits in other countries' central banks or institutions like the Bank for International Settlements. Copied |

IgOga: Sadly they are not because the Ibadan convention was initiated because according to Makinde and co , Anyawu the national secretary of PDP informed INEC of the convention.
Anyawu however cried out last month that he did not write the letter and his signature was forged. He provided evidence to DSS.
The only way the Ibadan convention can be legal was because Anyawu, the national secretary informed INEC of the convention.
Sadly the PDP will be destroyed, let's hope ADC can step in as the main opposition The case is in court, let him lay low for now and let the court settle the issue. All this they are doing is just heating up the polity. We don't need this kind of situation in present day Nigeria PDP caused all this mess for themselves though. But I don't want the PDP to be destroyed, it was because there was no strong opposition in Nigeria, PDP run Nigeria to the ground in 16 years. Nigeria need a strong opposition party to always put the heat on the ruling party. |
