This is like the 50 millionth time someone would ask me this funny question...

Invention is not based on Machine and Tools alone..,
Invention could be of ideas, opinions, Writings and the Likes..,

Dat was a JET CLUB PROJECT when I was in Secondary school... I still have mine at home.

Infact,
Constructive Criticism itself is a remarkable invention...

I think it's the fact that we've been let down too often by our dysfunctional system, so much that we celebrate any feat of 'innovation' which proffers some measure of hope that we could be like the developed nations too - even if momentarily unrealistic.
That's a notable observation too...
Now, we are talking real

Evening Docs, eem i'm just wondering why i could feel bitter taste in my mouth after i'd applied chlorophenicol eye drop in my itchy eyes.... Could it be that there is a link between the eye and mouth?

*thinking aloud
Actually, Yes there might be a link.
On the inside edge of your eye close to your nose, There is a deepening containing holes..called the Lacrimal punctum . When you shed tears or have another liquid in your eyes, some of it drains into these holes and then into the
lacrimal sac or the nasolacrimal duct, and
eventually into the back of your nose and throat,
where you might get a taste....
Health statistics say this is sometimes normal and safe..
You could see your Doc though if you have doubts...

Actually most times ,it is not celebrating , but creating awareness for an innovative mind, who might not have had any formal training on what he designed.
Most of those kids you mentioned, might become professionals tomorrow, but might end up lacking innovation. this kids who build this things do so, without any firsthand knowledge on use of tools. they might know the HOW of what they are doing, but not the Why of what is being done, With this exposure , people can pick them up, sponsor them and help them achieve their dreams.
With this , I hope you will be encouraged to pick up a technically motivated guy on the street and turn him to the next Einstein.
Good one....
but, u see, we've been celebrating and encouraging innovation since time immemorial...

If an illiterate mind can sit down, plan and build whatever with no formal training, i think the best thing to do is for our govt set up an academy where they can be trained tested and given further training in that direction.
Totally condemning them may be harsh and insensitive, no hard feelings, just saying
Errm....
You see,
I am not castigating creativity or innovation...
All I am saying is that If we as a Nation would genuinely celebrate an invention..., it shouldn't be a mediocre one borne of amateur intent and celeb-wanna-be

LET US STOP CELEBRATING MEDIOCRITY

It is quite funny and mischievous to the
intellectual folks when Nigerian mass media
celebrates some "pangolo" inventions in the
name of promoting our "Tekinologee".
Imagine...,
A Semi-illiterate announcing to the world that he
has built an Helicopter and a hungry-looking
Journalist, comes to his aid by announcing in
blogs and newspapers that - "NIGERIAN BOY
builds an helicopter, Check it out".
The uneducated inventor in question, would start
smiling sheepishly at the camera, vainfully hoping
that the Federal Government would provide him
with Materials to build more "Pangolo
helicopters" or perhaps confer on him a National
award or treat.
What a shame..?
An helicopter that can not even fly...
An helicopter that was built out of Grinding
machine metals and scraps!
Nigerians... This is mediocre!!.
I can't bring myself to believe all this shady and
fabricated innovations when an Ordinary Grade 3
Korean kid is building cool softwares.
Normal primary school kids in China are writing
mad codes..
Mind you, I am not saying there are no real
inventors or innovators ooo,
All I am clamouring for is that we should stop
celebrating Mediocre "teknologeekal"
announcements and encourage genuine
technological ideas and innovation...
May God bless the Real hands of Craftsmanship..

God and The philosophy of Relativism

In the time of no time, God forged out the soils of foundation with wisdom and created the magnificence of the Heavens with understanding. Out of His unimaginable power and might, He made man and directed man’s steps into earth. Man dwelled in Eden and from there; with events we all are familiar about, spread forth and propagated himself throughout the surface of earth.
Quite alright, the aim of this article is to bring out the opinion of God about the ever growing issue of the 21st century’s theory of relativism. This insight came while I was skimming through the pages of the Devotional manual – “The Open Heaven”. A chapter in the manual gave a scope into the theory of relativism. It’s more or less the way the world has perceived some mundane immoral practices. The philosophy of relativism dictates that all verdicts of judgment given, relates to the people involved; In other words, It means a judgment issued suits the opinion of the people concerned. That is, whether an action is right or wrong, it depends on the moral norms of the society in which it is practiced. The same action may be morally right in one society but be morally wrong in another.
The philosophy of relativism says that all truth is relative and that there is no such thing as absolute truth. But one has to ask: is the claim “all truth is relative” a relative truth or an absolute truth? If it is a relative truth, then it really is meaningless; how do we know when and where it applies?{ www.gotquestions.org/what-is-truth.html}
God does not support relativism when it comes to decision and judgment. God’s principles are standard and they will and can never bend to people’s ideas!. “My ways are not thy ways, My thoughts are far higher than yours; as the Heavens are higher than earth”. That is to say, God’s tenets, philosophy and truth are ABSOLUTE!.
Well, this essay would be meaningless if there is/are no concrete examples to back this composition up. Here are suitable examples with some notes to it –
1. HOMOSEXUALITY, BESTIALITY & TRANSGENDER; Yes, homosexuality is an immoral derivative of the philosophy of relativism. This act, alongside transgender, preaches the belief that some People who appear to the naked eye as Men were created by God with feminine souls(So in vice-versa with Women believing that they have masculine souls).Bestiality also preaches a similar ignorance{The mundane conclusion that animals have souls and that they also deserve to enjoy the necessities of the flesh e.g this is better illustrated by the story of a young Italian woman who goes around proclaiming that she is a cat, closed up in an human body}.This berates the set standard of God as it pictures him as an Amateur and imperfect being who creates things shabbily for the doctors on earth to correct. God’s standard are not imperfect and they have never been.

2. OCCULTIC MONOTHEISM; Some sets of Christians believe that Jesus Christ the Son is not the only way to the Father. They believe that there are other sons of God who can serve as other channels to God{This is different from Voodoo actually}. Demons posing as sons of God(You would here names like Olympians, Nephilims, Divination gods, Gypsieae e.t.c). These are not sons of God!, They are demonic media. King Saul attempted conversing with their likes at Endor, We all know how his story ended. This leads to nothing else than paganism and ignorant spiritism. Spiritism so deep, it eats up the soul and leaves nothing less than vanity, fetish and a generational inheritance of misery. The pagan would not call it fetish, he would rather call it “A raw form of divinity”. God hates this idea so much he gave a death sentence to it in the book of Exodus. Jesus emphasized further in the book of John –“No one cometh to the father except through the son”(). Picturing God as been relative to lesser gods isn’t ideal. It is even ridiculous.

3. SATAN’S GIMMICKS: It is saddening to hear that some people still believe that Satan didn’t receive a fair trial before he was cast out for rebellion. What fair trial would you give a Being that belittled God and saw himself higher than the Master?. A lot of folklore tales have found their way into the core of Christianity and sincerely, it seems they have come to stay. Tales like, Satan can sometimes allow a soul damned to hell to be freed and go back to earth for retribution (In other words, reincarnation). This is a Hollywood fiction which can never take hold in the realest sense. The Bible says “It is appointed for man to die once.”

4. THE ATHEIST AND HIS VIEWS: The 21st century atheist seems the practicable type. He typically believes there is no God. He preaches his opinion and makes everyone aware of His Hatred for the Existence of God!. Waooh, that’s relativism. The absolute truth about atheism is that – “Atheist don’t hate God because he doesn’t exist; You cannot hate that which does not exist, otherwise its Insanity; Atheist hate Jehovah because he exists”. If you need prove, do kindly have a chit - chat with an atheist. Their views are born of Absolute hate, not relative nothingness.
5. OPEN MARRIAGES ; This seems interesting but in the principled sense, is a horrible eyesore to the wedded people. Open marriages suggest that a partner might not be able to fulfill the intimate desires of his/her spouse and thus; he or she can look outside and have extramarital partner(s) so as to satiate the “desire”. In other words, this relativistic phenomenon sees no fault or immorality in having an extramarital affair. It portrays a view, which dictates that pure monogamy without an extramarital “checkmate/buffer/funfare” is nothing but a boring and “weird” communion. Hmmmmmmm, hear the truth; dearest reader, God’s deeds are absolute and sure; He created marriage solely for two appropriate entities, not as an avenue to stray into heinous and demonic copulatory adventures.

6. SPIRITUALITY AS A SCIENCE: Well, it is also surprising to hear that a class of Scientists see Spirituality as a science that has not been understood. People deceiving people(chuckles). You can not equate a divine world as being relative to the “E =MC2” principle. It is a pitiful waste of time.

7. Lastly, there are a few sects of ‘supposed and paranoid Christians” who believe physical punishment, incest and self-mutilation are perfect and holy ways of acquiring a higher state of spiritual existence!(I laugh deeply at this). I would not mention names for the upkeep of life and legacy, but I would say frankly; This is pathetically wrong and unbiblical. In addition, the points stated above are strongly supported by some reprobate and dampened “men-of-god/preachers/pastors/evangelist”. These group of people would state openly saying there are no sin or offences in relativism; opining that God is logical being who understands and permits all discrepancies……………. Dear reader!. Run away from such people!!, Flee their path and embrace the Truth.

PoliticsA Letter To Nigerians... "Dearest Nigerian Citizens" by IkembaCMD(op): 1:40am On Jan 09, 2016
A Letter- "Dearest Nigerian
Citizens"..

Dearest Nigerian Citizens,
In the times of Crisis, Economic fluctuations and
fatigue - which passively or actively our nation is
into, Our differences, premonitions and
convictions must be put apart as in abandoned
for the greater good and mightier heights.
Differences in the form of Party support e. g APC
and PDP, Change or Continuity, Neutralist or
Impactionist, Agitators or Non-agitators,
Indifferent or Bias among others... The reason
being that If out of blind passion for one's Party
or Political Belief or conviction or premonition;
The fragile Unity and Peaceful coexistence is
discredited, i wonder how The CHANGE being
clamoured for would be accomplished!.
Just as the Confucius The Great would say -
" It
is better and much wiser to light a small candle
than to curse and blame the whole darkness" ...

Fine, not everyone wanted Buhari(APC) at the
election period but as fate would have its course,
Buhari now presides over our Nation; thus
whether we want it or not, We are now in His
charade..In the Light of this matter, I see no
reason for any posthumous segregation of
Oneself from the National affairs.
People who ostracise themselves from National
affairs and point there abusive fingers at the
government are typically and exactly like those
who curse the darkness instead of lighting a
small candle, which most certainly would
illuminate their ignorantly horrid minds.
We are all in this Together and any sane mind
that wants our Nation to move forward would
stop preaching the gospel of Ostracism and
Vainglorious propaganda and embrace
Togetherness. I would love to emphasize the
issue of propaganda to a certain extent.
Propaganda, as Adolf Hitler would remark is that

" If Propaganda is skillfully and cunningly used, one
can make a Nation(People) see Heaven as Hell and
make them also see an extremely wretched life as
Paradise"
The corrupt and bias voice out a lot of
vainglorious propaganda so as to seemingly
thwart the work of the present administration in
the face of the public...I tell you, Nigerians... Do
not believe such talk, it is unhealthy for National
development and coexistence.
In the words of Chanakya, "A man is great by
deeds, not by Birth."
If anyone believes that they are born to rule and
exploit the milk of this nation, it is irrevocably
expedient for the Law to take its course on
them.
Corruption should be battled from all corners; It is
vital for all round development and
steadfastness.
Pray for Nigeria nonetheless promote its unity,
not a division of believes all in the name of
playing Politics!.
Politics must not be substituted for Philosophy
neither the vice versa. People are no longer blind
and they know what is right...The voice of the
People is the voice of God.
Yours in Oneness

Apparently this angered Olamide so he stormed
unto the stage when Adekunle Gold (Another YBNL
artiste) received his award for Best Alternative
artiste alongside the whole YBNL crew,
Olamide snatched the microphone from Adekunle
Gold and angrily blasted Headies saying the award
should have gone to Lil Kesh as he had back to back
hit songs all year round. Olamide stated “Iyalaya
anybody” and flipped off the whole hall before
dumping the microphone on the stage and storming
off the venue with his crew.

Just when we thought things had ended, Don Jazzy
was given a Special Recognition award and in his
speech he stated that he has never liked awards and
the only reason he came for the show was to support
his “children”. He also stated that he had told
Reekado Banks and Korede Bello (who were both
nominated for Next Rated) that he’d buy cars for
them.
Don Jazzy ended the night with a bombshell saying
“Olamide, if you want the car come and collect it”. He
and the Mavin artists also angrily left the venue.
Watch video of Don Jazzy's epic response below...
Olamide was not even present to receive his 'Artiste

LiteratureThe Last Lizard : A Short Story by IkembaCMD(op): 10:14pm On Dec 17, 2015
The Last Lizard; A short story

(inspired by a true life encounter, painstaking
observation and Eddie Iroh’s writings)

Three domestic agama lizards were wrangling
on a high fence.
It was a fight in the actual sense – They were
fighting over a piece of debris. The debris was
an hackneyed remnant of a discarded chocolate
bar meddled with sand and filth. The debris was
positioned in the gnashing jaws of the three
opponents, Each wanting the whole bounty or
perhaps a considerable chunk off the chocolate
litter.
In a split time, one of the three lizard
surrendered, jumped off the fence and hurdled
away into the bush. The battle was left to two
lizards. It was intense and survival-of-the-fittest
oriented. They raced to and from the fence
holes, jostling with claws and scales. It seems
the debris was worth all the stress.
And then, with no notice, there was a sudden
drop from the high fence, it was one of the
contesting lizards. The battle was over and the
winning lizard gnawed the debris deep into his
victorious jaws and crawled gently… out of sight.
Left alone on the crusty ground, the suddenly-
dropped lizard looked left and right, it gazed
around its premise most probably for an
encouraging, perhaps a motivating sight. He saw
none… none at all.
Then this lizard, the Last lizard did the
remarkable. It nodded its head upwards and
downwards and then moved on. It moved on;…

Moral of the story ;

“In life, we all have to be like
the Third lizard, the Last lizard: It looked left and
right, looked far and wide for support and solace
but saw none; yet still, motivated and braced up
himself despite the untimely and unwarranted
defeat. This being done, by nodding his head up
and down and then moving on for the better, for
the best”… Be self-motivating.
The nodding of a thing is usual for lizards as we
all know; however it was just used as an
illustration in bringing out a lesson to us all. We
must never be daunted by our defeats, we must
instead nod our heads in goodwill and move
forwards for the best.

PoliticsRe: Audu’s Supporters Push For Son As Replacement In Kogi Governorship Poll by IkembaCMD(m): 12:34pm On Nov 26, 2015
ORACLE1975:
There were strong indications on Wednesday that the campaign organisation of the late Kogi State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Abubakar Audu, was preparing a ground for the emergence of the deceased’s son, Mohammed, as a replacement for his father.

Audu died on Sunday, a few hours after the Independent National Electoral Commission declared the November 21 governorship poll in the state inconclusive.

The deceased had polled 240,867 votes in the election while the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate and incumbent state Governor, Capt. Idris Wada (retd.), scored 199,514 votes, leaving a gap of 41,353 votes between the two leading candidates in the election.

INEC had declared the election inconclusive on the grounds that cancelled votes or registered voters in the 91 polling units, where the exercise did not take place were 49,953, a figure higher than Audu’s lead of 41,353 votes.

A leader of the APC in the state, who confided in The PUNCH, said the dominant view in the organisation was that Mohammed should join the race.

It was gathered that a few members of the group had also suggested that Audu’s running mate in last Saturday’s election, Mr. James Faleke, should contest the primary.

It was gathered that members of the group, which dominates the APC in the state, met on Tuesday night following the party’s declaration that another primary would be held to produce a replacement for the late governorship candidate.

The commission had on Tuesday written the APC, directing it to submit a replacement for the late Audu while the party said it would hold a fresh primary to produce a replacement for the deceased APC standard bearer.

The APC leader, who confided in The PUNCH, said the late Audu’s political structure was still intact despite his death.

He stated that nobody could win the state governorship primary of the APC without the backing of Audu’s supporters.

The source said, “Abubakar Audu’s supporters, including his campaign structure, are rooting for either Audu’s son, Mohammed, or James Faleke for them not to lose out entirely. They are narrowing it to either Faleke or Mohammed because the APC machinery believes that the election has been won. But the party elders and leaders, who worked for him, will be more comfortable with Mohammed.

The spokesperson for the APC in Kogi State, Abdulmalik Suleiman, said, “We are mourning. This is the time for sober reflection and we are praying for our late leader and icon. At the appropriate time, the public will know because APC has a way of solving its issues and problems.”

One of our correspondents, however, learnt that despite the state of mourning in the party in the state, no fewer than four aspirants have started jostling to emerge as a replacement for Audu in the supplementary election on December 5.

These aspirants, it was learnt, included Faleke, who was Audu’s running mate in last Saturday’s poll; Yahaya Bello; a former PDP governorship aspirant, Jubrin Echocho, and Salihu Atawodi.

While Faleke is from the Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi West Senatorial District, Bello is from Okene in Kogi Central.

Echocho, who defected from the PDP to the APC after failing to clinch the governorship ticket of the former, is from Dekina LGA in Kogi East Senatorial District, the same zone as the incumbent governor, Wada.

Atawodi is from Dekina LGA and contested against Audu during the APC governorship primary.

Meanwhile, the National Working Committee of the APC postponed its meeting earlier scheduled to hold on Wednesday.

The National Chairman of the Party, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, said the postponement was to allow key officials of the party to fully participate in the burial of Chief HID Awolowo, who was buried on Wednesday in Ikenne, Ogun State.

The NWC had scheduled the meeting to deliberate on the date and modalities for fresh primary to elect a replacement for Audu.

Despite the postponement of the meeting, a group of youths under the aegis of Kogi Youth Vanguard, stormed the party headquarters to demand that Audu’s running mate, Faleke, be given the mandate to represent the party in the supplementary election.

Leader of the group, Bamidele Peters, who claimed to be from Kogi East, said, “Though we sympathise with the family of the late APC governorship candidate , Abubakar Audu, and the Kogi electorate, who voted for the APC, we feel that this mandate is not just for an individual but the entire party.

“We think the election should be allowed to be concluded and that there should be no replacement for the candidate until after the election. The party will after the election be able to replace its candidate.

“Our own interest under the circumstance is to ensure that the supplementary election is concluded. Even if the party will replace its candidate, it should be after the election; and I feel that if possible, the running mate, Abiodun Faleke, should be allowed to step in to replace the late governorship candidate.

In a related development, the Democratic Peoples Congress has demanded that a fresh governorship election should be conducted in Kogi State following the death of the candidate of the APC.

The National chairman of the DPC, Rev. Olusegun Peters, said this in a statement in Abuja on Wednesday.

Peters said, “The party rejects INEC’s position to continue the November 1 poll by conducting a supplementary election for 91 polling units on December 5, 2015.

“It is inappropriate for INEC to direct the APC to choose another candidate to substitute the late Audu and continue the governorship election when the people voted for the candidacy of Audu and not the yet-to-be-selected candidate the electorate did not vote for.”

According to him, the DPC strongly opposes the attempt by INEC and the ruling APC to impose a candidate on the people of Kogi State in what he described as a violation of democratic ideals.

The party chairman added, “We demand a fresh governorship election that will reflect the will of the people. This is the only way the nation’s frail democracy will be deepened and strengthened to provide its dividends to the long suffering compatriots.”

Meanwhile, a former Governor of Cross River State, Chief Clement Ebri, has called on the national leadership of the APC to consider fielding one of the children of the late Audu as a replacement.

In an interview with our correspondent in Calabar on Wednesday, Ebri, who was the governor of the state between 1992 and 1993, said the late APC candidate in the November 21 inconclusive governorship election was fortunate to have adult children, who were capable of filling the vacuum created by Audu’s demise.

Ebri said, “I agree that this is a democracy and not a monarchy; but to my knowledge, more than one of the late Audu’s children have the capacity to take up the ticket. I have seen them and I know them to have the capacity. So, why the party is still thinking of what to do, here is a suggestion – put another Audu in there.

“In 1991, when we were running our elections, Dr. Joe Nwodo was disqualified and the party got his younger brother to replace him. That was Ekwezelieze Nwodo, who did a great job.

“I am sure that the circumstance we have today dictates that we even consider that. By that way, the labour of the late Audu, who had never given up and had
sacrificed for his people, will not be in vain.”

TEACH THE WORLD

”It takes a million people to build up a good reputation, it takes sound tutelage to uphold the pillars ”(Lucky Dube)

This write up would not be in the form of a prose, it would rather be poetic. In its poetic form, I believe its message can be conveyed.

Wisdom is priceless, according to the tenets of old
Words of truth so invaluable they never wax cold
Give the wise a word, you make a legend unfold
Give the land something worthwhile, it creates a road

Teach the world the gospel of truth
Purge the world to the roots
The people are so cruel and hopeless
The world so virulent and helpless

Take it upon thyself to restore the dignity
Make a sacrifice for the continuance of posterity
It’s all about reputation, it’s all about choice
Be the beaming torch, the redeeming voice

The world is for the outspoken
Not for the inferiority – stricken
With the guide of God and man
Speak and teach, for the future lies in our hands...

DJBIGGY:
As the rate of unemployment looms Zimbabwe, people decided to create something to get people some cash to reduce unemployment effects. One of such is the creation of most ugly beauty pageant in the country.

This 42 years old unemployed man Maison Sere contested and was able to win the sum of $500 which is a lot of money in their country. Sere who wore overall and has a number of teeth contested before but he took the fourth position.

When he was announced winner this year, he told journalists thus;

"I want to thank God for winning this title, last time I came fourth. I just want to thank the judges for recognizing me as the winner."

However, the runner up William Masvinu, who has won three times in the past accused the judges for being biased as he walked away with $100 cash prize. Wetin, must you win all the time?

In his words, "The judges were not fair, the organisers must look for new judges to start the contest afresh. I did not lose today.".

I suggest you go for counseling.
Counseling, in the sense that it would profit you. It can be from your Mentor or Religious head. It is a psychological issue that is best dealt with medically(Psychiatry) or Ethnoreligiously(which depends on your Faith). The addiction is what needs to be removed first, then total elimination can come after.
Religion would suggest Deliverance(which i firmly believe in) and Medicine may be opined to give you medications and other stuffs.
Act fast, act smart.

I wish you a total riddance of this Bestial inclination in the name of God!.
