EducationAbout Mental Health And Depression by IkembaCMD(op):
OF MENTAL HEALTH AND DEPRESSION

Depression is a bully. It has rendered giant minds incapacitated, paralysed and more or less defunct.
Depression infects the emotions with autolytic thoughts. Its sole aim is to shut all doors to anything that has to do with hope or faith or optimism.

Depression creates a maniacal fear from things that do not exist. It is a multifactorial entity that feeds on lies and nihilistic illusions. It deviates the compass of the faculties to the most extremes of alternatives.

People who fall prey to the pangs of suicidal thoughts have this psychopathogenic and illusive belief that they are bothering the peace and well-being of those around them, just by being alive.

My inchoate experience as an involved observer has shown that Mental Health is something that everyone of us should take very serious.
The frequent occurrence of domestic violence, individual abuses and sociopathic behaviours are point-markers to the darkened depths of mental health issues.

Statistically, 1 in 4 Nigerians possess a strong likelihood of having mental issues ranging from minor schizoaffective disorders to full-blown psychosis and mania.

Without any scintilla of doubt, i am confident in my supposition that mental health is not something we should look at with stigmatizing eyes or adjudge by scornful countenances; it is rather something that we should be aware and observant of.

The current trends of events surfacing on the mass media should trigger and quicken us all to take corrective steps. Life is too short to make it shorter.
Although there is the place of nemetic and remorseful thoughts, i mean there is a place for the resultant effects of shady deals and compunctive feelings of carnal acts, Suicide is an unethical way forward. Theoretically, the unorthodox methods applied in executing Self-destruction are excruciatingly painful.
The immediate family and relations are left in utter disbelief and sorrowful bewilderment.

If you are having malevolent, antisocial, irrational and suicidal thoughts, seek help. The mind is not immune from sickness, it is as vulnerable as the naked flesh. If you know and feel you need a psychiatric attention, Go get it.
Let people talk and make assumptions. People would always talk. You are you and it is your well-being. Take good care of your health. The World is for the outspoken!.

Last but not the least, Pray, Speak to God... He doesn't get bored!.

LiteratureWEEP NOT WOMAN, A Picture Poem About Women facing Marital assault and batter. by IkembaCMD(op): 8:58pm On Jan 18, 2017
Here is a picture poem dedicated to the priceless jewels that have fallen prey to the batter and burst of bully spouses.
Weep not, Dear woman.
.
.

WEEP NOT, WOMAN

Weep not! Dear woman; Weep not, my troubled lady
Let your wits be firm, and your seaming hopes trustworthy
Though your darkness is weedy, and your feminine pride sunken
Keep the waters in; your shame shall be gone in no longing

Be strong! Dear woman: for failure cannot cope with persistence
Nor can violence withstand the pressing calm of peacefulness
Be gone with will! His wanton intimidation shall soon be no more
You never wished for a sour union or a marriage torn raw

Quite severally, he’ll batter and bully you in gory assault
Then condescendingly mock your being with callous disgust
Weep not, weary woman – his kind won’t breathe long in life
Bullies are cowards, who live all their scornful days in strife

Such apathy! All you gave was fruitfulness and total submission,
You’ve whimpered and endured: and yet still, craved his affection
Such devilry!! All he gives back, is pugilistic persecution and terror
Cry no more! Your seeds still need your strength and vigour

You’ve made your choice; pray and plead for him, but weep no more!
Leave him be! He is no diligent man – he’s lost; he’s erred a divine law
He is a prisoner of self; a sullen cheat, a victim of a reprobate belief
Give him up over to the passage of time, and let fate rectify the mischief…

Poems For ReviewThe Day The Naira Died by IkembaCMD(op): 2:13am On Oct 02, 2016
THE DAY THE NAIRA DIED!

Nigerians!!! Our leaders are selected and not elected!
Half-wits and maniacs rule our cities, pillaging
The bounties and legacies of our founding heroes;
All these came to be, on the day the naira died

The day the naira died, when which our ‘Play-God!’
Government chose to pervert justice and thwart
The tenets of honesty with blots of deceit and greed
Granting unimaginable corruption an eternal abode

The day the naira died, when which our virile youths
No longer see themselves as the leaders of tomorrow
But as rogue advocates for sociopolitical pandemonium
And mediocre thinkers of –“Get it anyhow!” ideologies

The day the naira died, when which terrorists
Slaughter without remorse and desecrate morality,
Carting off our promising girls as expendable tools for
Brainwashed convictions and godless violations

Our lawmakers and clerics fail to practice what they preach
Intellectuals and geniuses neglect the patriot call; they watch
Laissez-faire, as the masses agonize in pain and wry poverty
Oh! This abandonment came to be, on the day our naira died

Electricity fluctuates epileptically and our education
Renews its decadence with each passing day and night
What does the future hold?! Promises or Actions??!
For the naira is dead and must shall it rise again, God living!!!

PoliticsA Maverick View About Mark Zuckerberg's Low Profile Visitation To Nigeria by IkembaCMD(op):
Pat Ashinze wrote...

About Mark Zuckerberg and his low-key visitation to Nigeria

I would love to make a point out of the
unprecedented gospel of simplicity and dress
docility that fellow Nigerians have started
preaching as of now.
Its all about the visit of Zuck and the admonition of simplistic dressing that fellow Nigerians have been talking about in recent days.

Ever since the young and vibrant Billionaire
stepped his geeky feet on the silty terrains of
Nigeria;
Both men and women, young and old, informed
and uninformed have rented the air aloud with
photographic frenzy, admiring the smooth
lifestyle of the T-shirt and Trouser-on-sneakers
dressing fellow.

We all have been singing his praises on our
fleshy tongues and a lot of big dreamers have
reinforced their resolutions, humbly aspiring to be
like the nerdy moneybag in the nearest future.
It's a good conviction, indeed a great resolve
Personally, I am much awed by the guy.

Well, after a huge surf through the bottomless
internet, as it is, and it has been noticed, it seems Everyone has been reiterating
scold-somely and admonishingly on fellow countrymen,

They've been saying,
"See Zuckerberg, He's a mighty billionaire and is
in fact the 6th richest man on earth, all he puts
on are simple dresses while our small yeye guys
here in Nigeria put on Suits and corporate attires
as if they will be the ones to judge everybody at
the end of days,
They dress and walk with empty pomp and
pageantry, They do this, they do that!"

Hmmmm,
You see, Simplicity is a great virtue; as a matter
of fact, every moral and sane-psyched man must
at one point in life acknowledged it's life saving
and appealing attribute.
Little wonder, why Da Vinci adjudged it as the
'Greatest Form of Sophistication'

Give it a functional approach,
Mark Zuckerberg can dress the way he likes and
prefers you know..
He can put on a simpleton's cloth and go
anywhere he likes as he deems fit
He can be this and be that as he pleases so, you
know..
Why??
He is the lord of His possessions
He is rich beyond considerable
He has no boss
It is his undefeatable and seemingly inaccostable
way of life.

So the point I am trying to prove here is that we
must not castigate the Suit-wearers and the
Corperate dressers in an unsent bid to inculcate
a you-must-dress-simple-by-force tradition.
They are working under someone,
They are servants to the decrees of a somebody.

It is expected of them to dress conformingly.
We must not abuse the average life Nigerian who
puts on ostentatious or flashy clothes on to his
place of work or wherever his cerebellum directs
his legs to,
Its who he is, it's what is required of him.
We must not deify the White man just because
he has chosen to come simple.

We must put on good clothes and think good
thoughts and strive and fight and work our way
out until we become the lords of our empire...
Then we can dress as we like...
Corporate or Zuckerberg-like.

But as it is, we must be logical and we must not
reject the entreating hands of common sense
and moderation
"You only hoist your flag when you have a land
of your own"
In a nutshell,
Let Zuckerberg be Zuckerberg,
Let us be us!.

…BLESSED ARE THE CHILDREN;
{Have a happy day}

Blessed are the young ones, in all ramifications
For in their littleness, lies a pure form of
affection;
An appealing affection, so charming and soft
It's stands salient like the beaming sun in the
sky's loft

Arise, dear little children and be full of frantic
cheer,
For this day has been earmarked for your worthy
glare;
Your first breath and conception is a miracle to
behold;
Your emergence and greatness, a mystery yet to
unfold

Oh dear Custodian; Embrace the kids and treat
them well
Let them see Nature’s course; so they’ll have
stories to tell
Teach the pubescent ones the words of morality
and truth
For their deeds shall dictate the stance of the
future’s root

Long live these simple-minded treasures! So
funny and lovely;
Their great presence, is good company to the dry
and lonely.
Oh Great Creator, to the ones embattled by the
twists of fate;
Grant your peaceful benevolence on them all at

Reflections

The sun is setting, going to sleep,
Darkness coming in, like the ocean deep,
Vividly I can see it from where I lie
As nature’s colour flows across the sky

Glowing stars with twinkling lights,
Glittering diamonds; God! What a sight,
I lie in the field lawn and up I stare,
My body goes numb as I forget all my cares

My soul reeked of hollow emptiness
It saw no comfort in the evening’s transcendence
My soul was bereft of light and sight
It was deeply barren of will and might

Then I remembered, the words of ancient wisdom
Not to languish in loneliness and boredom
But; to rise out of the past’s aphotic abyss
And bask in the light of the future’s promise

Of volition, I rose with a toddler’s might
Baded the darkening evening a sound goodnight
Thence slowly, I descended on my couch for sopor
Till I, hopefully; shall see a new day’s glamour…

GOD AND THE PHILOSOPHY OF RELATIVISM

In the time of no time, God forged out
the soils of foundation with wisdom and
created the magnificence of the Heavens
with understanding. Out of His
unimaginable power and might, He
made man and directed man’s steps into
earth. Man dwelled in Eden and from
there; with events we all are familiar
about, spread forth and propagated
himself throughout the surface of earth.
Quite alright, the aim of this article is to
bring out the opinion of God about the
ever growing issue of the 21 st century’s
theory of relativism. This insight came
while I was skimming through the pages
of the Devotional manual – “The Open
Heaven” . A chapter in the manual gave a
scope into the theory of relativism. It’s
more or less the way the world has
perceived some mundane immoral
practices. The philosophy of relativism
dictates that all verdicts of judgment
given, relates to the people involved; In
other words, It means a judgment issued
suits the opinion of the people
concerned. That is, whether an action is
right or wrong, it depends on the moral
norms of the society in which it is
practiced. The same action may be
morally right in one society but be
morally wrong in another.
The philosophy of relativism says that all
truth is relative and that there is no such
thing as absolute truth. But one has to
ask: is the claim “all truth is relative” a
relative truth or an absolute truth ? If it is
a relative truth , then it really is
meaningless; how do we know when and
where it applies?
truth.html}

God does not support relativism when it
comes to decision and judgment. God’s
principles are standard and they will
and can never bend to people’s ideas!.
“My ways are not thy ways, My thoughts
are far higher than yours; as the Heavens
are higher than earth”. That is to say,
God’s tenets, philosophy and truth are
ABSOLUTE!.
Well, this essay would be meaningless if
there is/are no concrete examples to
back this composition up. Here are
suitable examples with some notes to it –

HOMOSEXUALITY, BESTIALITY &
TRANSGENDER; Yes, homosexuality is an
immoral derivative of the philosophy of
relativism. This act, alongside
transgender, preaches the belief that
some People who appear to the naked
eye as Men were created by God with
feminine souls(So in vice-versa with
Women believing that they have
masculine souls).Bestiality also preaches
a similar ignorance{The mundane
conclusion that animals have souls and
that they also deserve to enjoy the
necessities of the flesh e.g this is better
illustrated by the story of a young Italian
woman who goes around proclaiming
that she is a cat, closed up in an human
body}.This berates the set standard of
God as it pictures him as an Amateur
and imperfect being who creates things
shabbily for the doctors on earth to
correct. God’s standard are not
imperfect and they have never been.

OCCULTIC MONOTHEISM; Some sets of
Christians believe that Jesus Christ the
Son is not the only way to the Father.
They believe that there are other sons of
God who can serve as other channels to
God{This is different from Voodoo
actually}. Demons posing as sons of God
(You would here names like Olympians,
Nephilims, Divination gods, Gypsieae
e.t.c). These are not sons of God!, They
are demonic media. King Saul attempted
conversing with their likes at Endor, We
all know how his story ended. This leads
to nothing else than paganism and
ignorant spiritism. Spiritism so deep, it
eats up the soul and leaves nothing less
than vanity, fetish and a generational
inheritance of misery. The pagan would
not call it fetish, he would rather call it
“A raw form of divinity”. God hates this
idea so much he gave a death sentence
to it in the book of Exodus. Jesus
emphasized further in the book of John
–“No one cometh to the father except
through the son” (). Picturing God as
been relative to lesser gods isn’t ideal. It
is even ridiculous.

SATAN’S GIMMICKS: It is saddening to
hear that some people still believe that
Satan didn’t receive a fair trial before he
was cast out for rebellion. What fair trial
would you give a Being that belittled God
and saw himself higher than the
Master?. A lot of folklore tales have
found their way into the core of
Christianity and sincerely, it seems they
have come to stay. Tales like, Satan can
sometimes allow a soul damned to hell to
be freed and go back to earth for
retribution (In other words,
reincarnation). This is a Hollywood
fiction which can never take hold in the
realest sense. The Bible says “It is
appointed for man to die once.”

THE ATHEIST AND HIS VIEWS: The 21 st
century atheist seems the practicable
type. He typically believes there is no
God. He preaches his opinion and makes
everyone aware of His Hatred for the
Existence of God!. Waooh, that’s
relativism. The absolute truth about
atheism is that – “Atheist don’t hate God
because he doesn’t exist; You cannot hate
that which does not exist, otherwise its
Insanity; Atheist hate Jehovah because he
exists”. If you need prove, do kindly
have a chit - chat with an atheist. Their
views are born of Absolute hate, not
relative nothingness.

OPEN MARRIAGES ; This seems
interesting but in the principled sense, is
a horrible eyesore to the wedded people.
Open marriages suggest that a partner
might not be able to fulfill the intimate
desires of his/her spouse and thus; he or
she can look outside and have
extramarital partner(s) so as to satiate
the “desire”. In other words, this
relativistic phenomenon sees no fault or
immorality in having an extramarital
affair. It portrays a view, which dictates
that pure monogamy without an
extramarital “checkmate/buffer/funfare”
is nothing but a boring and “weird”
communion. Hmmmmmmm, hear the
truth; dearest reader, God’s deeds are
absolute and sure; He created marriage
solely for two appropriate entities, not as
an avenue to stray into heinous and
demonic copulatory adventures.

SPIRITUALITY AS A SCIENCE: Well, it is
also surprising to hear that a class of
Scientists see Spirituality as a science
that has not been understood. People
deceiving people(chuckles). You can not
equate a divine world as being relative
to the “E =MC^2” principle. It is a pitiful
waste of time.

Lastly, there are a few sects of
‘supposed and paranoid Christians” who
believe physical punishment, incest and
self-mutilation are perfect and holy ways
of acquiring a higher state of spiritual
existence!(I laugh deeply at this). I would
not mention names for the upkeep of life
and legacy, but I would say frankly; This
is pathetically wrong and unbiblical. In
addition, the points stated above are
strongly supported by some reprobate
and dampened “men-of-god/preachers/
pastors/evangelist”. These group of
people would state openly saying there
are no sin or offenses in relativism;
opining that God is logical being who
understands and permits all
discrepancies……………. Dear reader!.
Run away from such people!!, Flee their
path and embrace the Truth.
May the Lord God Almighty be with us
all and guide our earthly paths to his
Absolute love in Jesus' nam!.. Amen..
