First - Onitsha is not Anioma, Anioma is purely a political coinage by Denis Osadeby which is an acronym derived from the four original local government areas, i.e., (A) for Aniocha, (N) for Ndokwa, (I) for Ika and (O) for Oshimili, M and A being common denominators found in the original four local government areas.
What the above means is that Anioma stats and ends in the present day Delta State.

Does Onitsha share ancestry with Anioma?
Yes, Benin ancestry.

Anioma is not just acroynm of Delta Ibos. Acronym was created based on what your own post stated "ORIGINAL" local areas aka where we started and have the largest lands. So in other words, since sadly getting carved in the same area as you people, all they've experience is land grabbing by you SE Igbos.
