Keeky08: Hello everyone,
Glad to have found this thread. I just decided to start my Canada immigration journey this year and I understand that the first step is ECA. I created an account with WES today but I was unable to make payment. Please is there anyone that had the same issue and what did you Dj to complete the payment?
Thank you. Choose any of these; 1. Get a Dom account and pay with your card. 2. Get someone with a Dom account, pay with their card 3.Pay with Flutterwave virtual dollar card 2 Likes 1 Share |

Yes you can. My PPR mail did not specify where to send to, it just says send through VFS but people typically send to the ones closest to them. The only downside is it’ll cost you more but what you loose in money, you’ll gain back in time and peace of mind. Accra is stressing people out here mehn. I posted the process for sending to London earlier but it was deleted and I was banned. Sorry about the ban. Is there a way we can access the information on how to send to London? |

Orange1234: Congrats to all those who received PPR!!!!! May God grant those who have not received their own. The PPR e-mail is not extensive and I was asked to contact VFS for their submission process. I have received no response from VFS Lekki by phone or e-mail on the passport submission process. Please those who have recently (Nov/ Dec 2020) submitted their passports via courier, please enlighten me on the process and more importantly, the payment items below.
I have my biometrics slip so I'm not supposed to pay the NGN7,430 package transmission fee, right? I presume that I would have to pay NGN12,570 for one-way courier so VFS can return my passport back to me and NGN830 SMS per application fee. Please for those who have paid the NGN830, did you receive text messages when your passports were ready?
I assume the money should be paid to the below account so the payment advice will be included in the DHL courier package.
(If you are paying any VFS fees, please pay via bank transfer to the below account Bank account name: CANADA LOGISTIC COLLECTION ACCOUNT Bank name: Sterling Bank Account number: 0065165839 Oga you codedly received PPR and you didn’t share your testimony... or maybe I missed it lool...Please what’s your timeline? 2 Likes |

NaijaGoingMaple: The golden email visited us yesterday. It's PPR and we're grateful for the faithfulness of our God who's made this possible.
The Journey It was in March 2018 that we were having frank discussion among friends about governance, business environment, career, family, security and what’s not about our dear nation Nigeria. It was crystal clear to us right there and then that we had to fold up our sleeves and brace up for the change “jappa.”
Apparently, we started off with me being the PA; a Masters degree and required years of experience while spouse has Bachelors and extensive work experience too (self-employed as “obioma” or the more formal fashion designer). The race began in March 2018 with renewal of our international passports. The “No Booklet” days was herculean. My ECA processing was seamless (UK Masters). However, with IELTS, the dancing steps changed to “surugede” at the first attempt as I missed my speaking test (no thanks to unpredictable Lagos traffic). I overcame the hurdle by the 3rd attempt. By the 3rd quarter of 2018; ECA and IELTS were ready for spouse as well and we were both in the pool but below trending ITA threshold then.
On this journey, every opportunity is golden, don’t procrastinate. For instance, if we had taken another IELTS to improve our scores and possibly max out on all; we’d have gotten the surprise ITA of 437 in January 2019. Since getting an ITA directly under the Federal Skill Workers stream was out of our reach given our ages, we started learning French by 3rd quarter of 2018 as that was the only option aside provincial nomination. The latter got us the ITA, and the rest they say is history.
Below, is our timeline:
Oct, 2019: ITA & AOR
Nov 2019: Meds passed & Biometric submitted. File transferred to AVO.
..... Long Silence....
May 2020: Eligibility passed (GCMS notes)
.... Long Silence....
Oct 20, 2020: Meds expired (GU, and meds status changed to, "You don't need medical...."
Oct 29, 2020: ADR Schedule 4 (submitted the same day, with Additional Document status changing to, "Not Applicable."
Nov 23, 2020: Meds extended (GU, & meds status changed to, "You passed the medical exam"
Nov 24, 2020: ADR Acknowledged (email) - Additional Document status changed to, "We are reviewing the additional documents provided."
Nov 25, 2020: Approved - RFV (CSE Response)
Dec 3, 2020: PPR
VO: AVO voice but with Hong Kong feelings
Why The Abroad? My first thought of travelling abroad was when I graduated from the university. I’d read about tuition-free postgrad programs in the Scandinavians, and applied to few schools but somehow failed to follow up with documentation requirements and the funding wahala - where “village boy” go get money?
Upon completing my 1-year mandatory national youth service; I got an entry level job in a bank, and the thought of travelling out of the country vanished with the winds. 7 years after, colleagues had started discussing about Canadian Express Entry and few relocated to Canada. But because of the stringent requirements I’d assumed; I didn’t bother to give it a trial. Additional 3 years had passed, and the wind was unrelentingly roosting in my home, and I couldn’t but be ensnared by this bandwagon effect. With total commitment to the cause, there was no going back. In my local parlance, we’d say “we all die here today,” meaning, once you have your hands on the plough, it’s unfitting to falter.
We may be starting over again in a new country, but with a renewed hope for an all-inclusive success. Whilst there may be many unknown unknowns as plans are as good as guess work, we’re fully persuaded that our decision to relocate to Canada is a good one. Where you have a planning and progressive government; it’s likely that individual plans are better guesses, and closer to reality, and for this, we will succeed.
The journey may be long and tiring for some, but the destination is within reach.
>>> Keep the fire burning, and faith unfaltering! Congratulations!! |

dkdmy: Its PPR guys!!!
Timeline: IELTS - November 23, 2019 AOR- September 06 2020 Medical passed: September 30, 2020 Biometrics: October 06, 2020 GU: November 09,2020 PPR: December 01,2020 VO: ACCRA single Applicant
Decision to Travel: I made up my mind to travel after an uncle of mine reminded me about express entry in June last year, before then, I felt its a difficult process so I didn't really bother my self about it
IELTS: registered for the exam in June 2019 but missed it because it clashed with my NNPC interview. Imagine me o, I choose NNPC over IELTS, in the end the job sef no click. I later registered for the exam in November and passed it once. L8.9 R9.0 S7.5 W7.0. Did the exams with BC and used youtube and Cambridge materials for preparation.
ECA: I did my ECA with WES, I evaluated both my bachelors and masters degree. It took me about 3 months to get it done. thank God say ASUU and NASU never start their wahala
Express Entry: I jumped into the pool with a CRS score of 478 in march 2020. All thanks to the delay in conducting draws (which I’m thankful for) I got invited In August 06 after missing the first July draw due to tie breaking rule.
Work experience: I used my NYSC (10 months) and my current work experience (2 years and 3 months as at submission). I went to my PPA to collect reference only for them to claim that I only worked for only 10 months. Had it not for the long delay in conducting draws I would not have had some more months in my current job to make up for it. So if I had gotten ITA in March or April I would have probably had to reject it. I used two NOCs to make up for my three years. I attached all the NYSC documents such as my reference letter, posting letter, acceptance letter. I didn’t attach my discharge certificate though. I also attached payslips and reference letter from my current work experience too
POF: that was easy, got a gift deed from my dad and notarized it for 3k in a notary public
Medical, PCC and passport were a breeze
POST-ITA: After filling all the documents and submitting my profile, I thought the wait would be very long. From time to time I anxiously checked my profile to see if there’s any update. I later realized last month that WES made a mistake in the year of graduation of my bachelor’s degree, I became tensed. I sent a mail and FAX to WES and within one week, it was corrected and I sent it via webform to IRCC. I also decided to ask the status of my application by calling IRCC. mehn, I called tire over 300 times in a day. On some days I will speak to the agent, and their system will either be down or credit will finish during the call. Finally I was able to reach them and was told my file was moved to ACCRA. I was really scared, especially because I was using NYSC as part of work experience to claim points and the NYSC was clearly and boldly written in my reference letter. I ordered GCMS notes two weeks ago but alas, I never need it. PPR came it just this morning.
Glory to God for what he has done and Thanks to the seniors in the house @mamaroon, ednut1, crespo67 (for creating that wonderful whatapp group). Finally thanks to this thread for the wealth of information that has helped me in this process. I read this thread almost every two hours. See y'all in CANADA
Congratulations. See you in Canada indeed!!!! |
