Newbie here. Been following this thread on & off for sometime now, but laziness didn't allow me take any action. Recently, I decided to atleast put something in my portfolio as a first step to action. I'm still lazy though.

1... Boston/Opticians/com .....
( my first domain... didn't think too much here, just wanted to register something... Yet to outbound)

2... Cars/shipping/Houston/com.... (yet to outbound)

3... StoreInfo/cloud ( handreg last week during .cloud promo someone posted here..)

4... Startups/Angel/com( registered this today)

As it is, I plan to stop at 10names consisting of 6 geo domains and 4 non geo, pending when another cheap promo begins.

And thanks to all those whose selfless services made this thread possible, and continues to make it thrive. May bigger opportunities in life find you.

Let me comment my small comment.

1. Boston city with decent population, good.
Opticians, well try as much to make it singular next time, when u use plural, the name looks like a directory not a service rendering name. Also, u could use better services,but nobody says Optician won't sell

2. Houston too decent population, try as much to let city come first b4 product/service. Outbound, and Goodluck.
Also, some might say name is too long, so work on getting shorter names.

3. Nobody can say StoreInfo. cloud won't sell, but this type of name u don't expect to sell fast.
Btw, i like d combo of the name with extension, good imo

4. I have nothing to say on the name

More sales to us all.

In addition, The best way for any newbie to understand the value of domains is learning from the easiest niche which is Geo.

It opens your mind to other niche with time and you find that lonely lucrative niche in domaining and occupy it with passion and drive

The impressions created makes newbies think it’s rocket science which sends them on humongous registering. While others could think registering just anything is what sells, so they join the gang

To be a good domainer you just need qualitative Research

Again u have to be professional, if possible customize each email for each recipient

Instead of sending mails individually to each recipient it offers the ability to mail merge
Been using the BCC option but I don’t think it’s professional enough.

Infact for using BCC you have been doing it all wrong.

I'll advice u use Normal Gmail. Send them one by one!

Thanks bro, I know with the power of consistence, its achievable. Perhaps, those confessions I made were born out frustration from getting no reply after doing outbounding on 8 GEO domains during the week.

As y'all know, BB take like forever to review a name,
So i submitted name to them and to SH also, SH approved, even logo is done.
Today I received email from BB that they have accepted the name.

Advice should i leave it at SH or move to BB?

For those that usually don't know how to reply when an end user request for domain stat.
If estibot ain't giving u anything tangible,
U can visit Neilpatel/com.
Enter the domain keywords and hit search.
E.g if the domain is kitchenplumber/king
D image attached is what u get.
U can then report to end user with screenshot if u are convinced on the number of volume.

Might be something really small, but u never know if that's what will convince end user to purchase

You said it all Bro. Let me buttress on Few points to note from your advice :

1. Don't make Squadhelp the pinnacle to measuring what brandables should be or not. Like @Farouksenior rightly said.
For me i rate brandbucket above them in terms of Quality and Acceptance model.
Sometimes i even wonder accepting names at squadhelp as something to do with their Mood. Lol maybe accept more names when on good mood and vice versa (Because accuracy of acceptance is not consistent and most times leaves much to be desired of)

2. Like @Farouksenior rightly pointed out, don't Reg misspellings or wrong words, When or not the keyword is in trend. As for me i rarely have misspellings in my portfolio. And come on guys who would want his company or brand to bear a misspelt word. (most times you got to think like the end user while getting a name). There are some exceptions though when the name is super short and ultra premium (not 2 keywords misspelling like I've been seeing here lately)

Finally stick with what works for you. Don't join the brandable train because you see people joining. I can attest that Geo names sales Quicker than brandables and gives better results too. Also i see a lot of people report Geo name sales here almost every now and then unlike brandable which take a while. Hence i repeat stick with what's working for you and try and become a master there.

You begin to wonder what criteria SH use to accept names.
They preach radio test, when clearly some of the names there will definitely fail the test

I learnt about domaining around 2015 around the time I started fiverr but i couldn't concentrate beacuse of fiverr money   bought many crap domains (didnt even know anything about geo domain &outbounding ). I even came to meet iykepromtions around 2017 at idi iroko (don't know if you still remember me ) . I did the training bought about three domains and didn't make a sale , i never even contacted him back to ask for more guidelines or what to do.

So early this year I came back. started reading from page 1 of this thread . I told myself if i didn't finish reading the whole thread I won't buy a single domain. So i read , liked  posts about sales reports,  outbonding tips and all (if you see any of your old posts getting likes , that's probably me) The page was already over 500 before i could get up to date.
So i bought 10 domains with the connectresller promo(mix of geo and brandables) , one got accepted  by SH ..outbonded on three domains , got no response and i stopped.  I kept reading sales report every month , hoping for a miracle  (without actually doing anything ) . I just kept proscastinating the outbonding like say them deh do me. I was just reading the thread a few days ago and I noticed a guy complaining about not getting any sales . So i went back on one of my domains , came up with 126 end users  and started outbonding.

I was at number 23 when i got a mail that an offer as been received on my domains , I accepted immediately . About 20 mins later I got another inquiry asking for price from an end user ,i replied... but it as been sold .

I offered AfriFabrics/king to someone with dis big Ankara shop who always advertise on WhatsApp majorly but he has no website. Told him to make an offer, told me he isn't interested, same thing two others told me.

Another, I saw an exact match of his brand name expiring (it's a 5L domain btw), told my guy to get it for his brand, nigga just gave me a hand emoji that he doesn't want it (dropcatch caught it dis morning).

Got me wondering, do majority of people in this country just do business without long term planning? Cos it's like most of these 'entrepreneurs' don't know the power of owning a website with the right keywords or branding at this age.

We Nigerians don't know what internet can do to our business.

Lol. Will this be my first whatsapp sale? The domain competitors is mainly UK based. Contacted one via Whatsapp before buying the domain, main reason as you may know is that they prefer their own extention. But he showed interest and asked me how much? I quickly rushed and registered it, set up a landing page and quoted $1,200, negotiable. According to him, the CEO will be back in two days time to finalize the deal. I hope everything works out fine.
