Travel / Re: Tier2 General UK Visa by iknowexperts: 5:48pm On Sep 01, 2020
The UK Tier 2 Visa is the visa you apply for if you have been offered employment in the UK.

That means one of the main requirement is that you must have a job offer before you can be granted this visa.

To boost your chances of getting a UK job offer, you can check out jobs that are classified under "Shortage Occupation."

Shortage Occupation are sectors where there is a shortage of skilled workers. So the UK makes it easier for people to get a visa when they get a "Shortage occupation" job.

These jobs range a wide degree of sectors: from engineers, web designers, medical practitioners, chefs, teachers etc.

There is also the Health and Care visa which is also under the General Tier 2 visa. Application for this visa started just on the 4th of August this year.

It makes it relatively very easy, cheap and fast for Health Practitioners to immigrate to the UK... provided they have a job offer, and they are QUALIFIED to practice in the UK.

As a side note: The UK are really in need of health workers from different professions... and they showed it in this visa.

So, in general, make sure your papers are ready (or almost ready) then you start applying for UK jobs.

When you get a job, you are issued a certificate of sponsorship that you will use and apply for a visa. Within 3 months (or within 3 weeks for Health and Care visa) you will be issued a visa.

Business / Re: How Easy Online Money Is Driving People To Amazon KDP. And Why Few Will Earn by iknowexperts: 6:06pm On May 20, 2020
(Contd)

The summary of this keywords gospel is...

Your best chance of selling is when you create a book people are already looking for.

And you find out what people are searching for through keywords research.

Researching for keywords can take up to 3 hours... per book... especially if you're just starting out and do not yet have templates to fall back on

That's where the work is. And the truth is it's boring for most people.

Because of this, they skip this stage and just go ahead to write any book they like.

Some people plagiarize other people's work - huge mistake -

... and few months later with many published books and zero sales, they say Amazon doesn't work. And they jump to the next easy looking opportunity.

Oh! Did I forget that most people who earn thousands on Amazon do large volumes?

By large volumes I mean publishing well above 50 e-books.

That's not to say people don't publish one book and blow.

But it's rare.

Because statistically... for most publishers... one book can realistically rake in $50 to 200 (25k thousand to 100k thousand Naira per month.

(Side note: in 2010 or thereabouts, 30k was $200. Now a whole 100k is now 200 dollars... hmmmm)

Back to the gist...

If you want to earn more, you've got to write more books.

That's the reality for MOST Amazon Publishers.

And that's one of the things those who are newly starting Amazon KDP are not fully aware of.

People who are already doing well in the system can easily put together a book that will sell in hours.

Because they already have their own templates. And have mastered the stages in the sequence.

They can hit 30 books or five times that in a month if they want.

But for those who are newbies, they'll need time to figure things out.

And without guidance from someone in the system. It'll be a long, frustrating and dollarles road.

That's why many will not make the Amazon dollars:

1. They won't do the research

2. They won't do the volumes.

In summary:

Amazon is a low entry opportunity with huge earning potential.

It's systems are straightforward. Its simple to master. But its not easy.

It's not easy in the sense that things will not happen overnight... within a twinkle of an eye like most people believe.

Amazon KDP success clearly goes beyond writing books.

It is more about finding the right books to write.

There are different systems to research books that have a very high chance of selling.

The good thing is that theres a lot of information on google about research on Amazon KDP.

If you've got lots of time, and do not mind trial and error... and making mistakes here and there... you can figure things all by yourself using google.

There is also lots info here on Nairaland.

Another option is to learn from who have done it before, and who can allow you access to already existing, working templates.

This shortens the learning curve drastically.

If you want guidance from someone who has seen success in Amazon KDP, you can checkout this article

iknowexperts.com.ng/amazon-kdp-pim

PS. There are quite a number of programs on Amazon that follows the same system as KDP - one of them is Merch by Amazon.

You upload shirt designs on Amazon. Shirt production companies around the world buy the designs and you're paid a royalty for each sale.
It's a little hit harder than Amazon KDP if you ask me.

You'll need graphic design skills and mad research skills to be able to do this.

However, it pays.

If you're up for it, check here ==> merch.amazon.com/landing

PPS. If you want to get into Amazon publishing, those 3 articles will be a good read.

So you know exactly what you're getting into. And not feel theres some easy money on Amazon up for grabs

Business / How Easy Online Money Is Driving People To Amazon KDP. And Why Few Will Earn by iknowexperts: 6:05pm On May 20, 2020
People say it's the easiest way to make money online.

Upload simple e-books, and Jeff Bezo's Amazon.com will start paying you every month.

But, is it that easy?

The first time I heard about Amazon KDP was around November 2019.

Someone who commands my absolute respect sent a mail to his list telling then about a profitable business opportunity for people willing to do the work.

Since then I've read of Michelle Obama and how she self- published her book on Amazon. Titled "Becoming"

And J.K. Rowlings - world's only billionaire author, and the story behind how she self-published the Harry Potter series.

With the "self-publishing" move, she literally turned the tables.

Instead of publishers and book promoters paying her royalty.

She was now the one paying them royalties. Long story short - it was a masterstroke.

Then there's also the normal everyday guys making earnings from Amazon KDP.

Rob Cubbon uploads diaries, journals etc - earns 3,800/month.

Money.com describes his type of books as "wordless books"

Because they contain very little words - think of the regular diary you see around. Only that his has inspirational quotes and art on its pages.

Also Kelli Robert's. Her books on Amazon did $18,000+ last December. The Christmas holidays playing a positive role in earnings.

Below is a link to an article about how them and others earn in Amazon KDP. If you want to start Amazon KDP, I suggest you read this article first.

Here ==> http://google.com/amp/s/money.com/amazon-kindle-direct-publishing-journals-planners/%3famp=true

It's very balanced, and

It shows how profitable Anazon can be. And at the same time how easily you could be wasting your time with no warnings to show for all your work

And I've read of some other guys here on Nairaland who make some serious earnings with KDP.

Anyways, away from that and back to the email we were talking about

In that mail, he talked about how a guy named Gbenga who was doing $2000 to $5000 monthly... in passive income... since 2014 till date... from ebooks he published on Amazon.. And how any serious person can do it too.

It sounded good. This could be profitable for me too, I thought to myself.

Afterall I'm good at writing.

What is a 30 page e-book that I cannot put together in under 2 hours. Or 2 days if it is an unfamiliar topic. That I will not write and publish on Amazon and start earning. Lol

if I cannot write... I simply outsource.

Anyone with this type of thinking will surely want to jump into Amazon KDP.

But,

Is Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing as profitable and as easy as it sounds?

Exactly how much work is involved?

How much investment in money and time is required?

And very importantly,

how does the whole publishing thing work,
that all I will do is publish a book that I probably will research from google,
and sales will be coming in without any form of promotions / advertisements from my end?

No matter if I choose to keep on publishing or not

Here's what I found out:

True. Amazon KDP is simple. And straightforward. And has a very low entry barrier.

And therein lies its attraction and difficulty at the same time.

Here is how it works.

If you publish a book on Amazon, Amazon will do the whole selling job for you.

For every copy they sell, they take their commision and give you the rest as royalties.

Amazon has advantage when it comes to selling online.

Because:

For one, their website gets traffic in the region of 2 billion visitors per month. Its among the top 20 most visited websites in the world.

Secondly, they are a trusted brand. They are known for selling quality products. People buy from them without fear of getting scammed.

They have been selling online for over 20 years. Twenty years is a long time in the tech industry. They've got the experience. And the technology.

That is why Amazon selling a few copies of your book and taking a commission is not a challenge for them at all.

And they have the incentive to sell for you.

Look at it this way. They sell for tens of thousands of publishers... and take a commission from each sale.

That small commission per publisher multiplied by all publishers from their platforms equals big earnings for them.

And Amazon earns a lot across different aspects of their business using this "Sell-for-people-and-take-a-commission" model.

In 2019 they did 221 billion in revenues (across all aspects of their business... not only Amazon KDP)

That is why when once you publish a book on Amazon, and you DID YOUR RESEARCH RIGHT... your books will sell.

You dont have to write the book yourself. You can outsource.

You dont have to use your real name. You can use a pen name

You dont have to run adverts.

You don't have to own a website, promote on social media or do blogging.

Amazon will do all the selling.

All you do is upload books in their kindle store.

And at the end of the month, they send your royalty.

Royalties are calculated in dollars. Converted to your local currency, and sent directly to your bank account.
(Of course you must have a Payoneer account - it's free to open one).

That is why you dont have to even sell much books before earning what will amount to substantial money in Naira.

The above is 100 percent true. But its not the full story.

It's just an oversimplification of the process.

It's the sweet part most people hear, and they jump in without fully knowing what is required of them

Here's the remainder of the story:

Because there’s no investment needed, pretty much anyone can join KDP.

This means there is plenty competition.

From the outside, it can seem as if you're just going to slap a bunch of books together... throw them up into Amazon... and start earning hundreds of dollars,
or thousands of dollars monthly... all from that work you did ONCE

The reality is a lot of effort has to go into research.

Because you cant just say "Oh I love this topic. I can easily write about it." And you make a book about it and you upload on Amazon and hope for the best.

Do you know if people are looking the information you put inside that your book?

This is the most important question in Amazon KDP.

And you can only answer it by research.

Research is one of the most important stage (if not the most important).

And what do you research?

Keywords.

There are other things, but keywords is the 20 percent that brings the 80 percent result

Someone searching for books to buy on Amazon is a lot like some searching on Google.

You type in the search box and you get results.

What people type into the search box are called key words.

You have got to spend some good time figuring what types of books people are interested in... and exactly what words these people use to search for those books

When you do,

Only then can you publish a book, and sit down for months, and even years... then Amazon will be sending your royalties as long as your book sells....

Family / Re: Covid-19: What The Canada Government Is Doing For Families This Lockdown Period by iknowexperts: 5:00pm On Apr 01, 2020
Meanwhile, for those who want to relocate Canada with their families, now is not the time to give up your dreams.

While most of the services relating to immigrating to Canada (and other countries abroad generally) have been suspended for now, it will re-open again when the crisis becomes a thing of the past

Question is, will you be in a good position to make the move? Think about that

What you should do is to position yourself to make the move as fast as possible when the time comes.

You can better position yourself by taking out some time to gather relevant info on the Canadian IRCC website.

This knowledge can give you speed, save you time and money in hundreds and even millions of Naira moving forward.

Talking about positioning, below are 2 videos containing useful and practicable information concerning 2 of the newest canada immigration programs.

Family / Covid-19: What The Canada Government Is Doing For Families This Lockdown Period by iknowexperts: 4:58pm On Apr 01, 2020
This is not a government bashing post

This morning when I logged into Nairaland, I saw news that the government in Lagos have commenced sharing food stuff from house to house.

I didn't believe till I saw the picture. You wont blame me. The only time Govt share things is during elections

In case you haven't seen it and are wondering what was shared, it is a bag containing rice and garri, and a loaf of bread.

What I saw made me to checkout what Canada (which is my most talked about country wink ) is giving as relief materials to her citizens and inhabitants alike.

What did I find out? Your guess is as good as mine.

Take a look for yourself what Canada is doing

Number one.
Extra $300 per child (u-18 years old) in each family who are under the Canada Child Benefit (CCB) program. Normally they receive between $466 to $553 per month. Now they are getting extra $300

Number 2.
Emergency payment of $2000 to every adult, whether employed or unemployed, who are unable to work or earn an income due to the Covid-19 Lockdown.
This includes those who are sick or in quarantine.
Payment will last for up to four months

Number 3
Tenants are allowed not to pay house rent for the next six months.

Number 4
House owners on Mortgages are allowed not to repay loans for the next 6 months. With no additional interest charged during the period.

Number 5
Wage subsidy of up to 75 percent so Canadian employees can still be paying salaries during the lockdown.

Number 6
$25 billion Emergency Business Account...
For giving small businesses interest free loans up to $40k free for one year with opportunity for forgiveness.

Plus other relief programs designed for individuals and businesses.

This shows a government that cares

Compared to what is obtainable af home... Let's not even go there.

But,

inspite of the fact that I think what the Lagos state government gave out is ridiculous,

I also feel they have taken a step in the right direction

It's not everytime we should condemn.

What we can do is encourage them at this point, and challenge them to do better.

I believe they can go on another round or two of sharing relief items before this first lock down is over

Below are the items shared by the government

Family / What Are You Doing At Home This Lockdown Period? by iknowexperts: 2:51pm On Mar 31, 2020
Apart from sleeping, eating, watching TV, browsing the internet and social media...

...the truth is many people are spending the lockdown doing nothing else.

It's all good and fine. But if you have not gotten to where you want to be in life, or achieve the things you want, my simple advise is...

....dont just spend the entire lockdown period relaxing and getting bored.

I believe there are a few things you can do that will add value to your life. Things you didn't have time for and things you have been procrastinating on.

Now is a good time to start acting on them.

You might be stuck at home but dont just let your life get stuck. This Corona virus crisis will pass and things will change.

You have to be prepared for that change.

There are some things you can do:

1. You can learn a new skill online relevant to your job or career

By dedicating just 3 hours per day for the next 14 days, that will be 42 hours in total.

42 hours is enough to complete an online course on Udemy or Coursera or any online learning platform. And you also get certified.

With https://www.udemy.com, and
www.coursera.org">https://:www.coursera.org

...you get world class courses in virtually any field, delivered by world class instructors from top universities and world class companies.. like Yale, Stanford, Google, IBM etc

2. You can start searching for new jobs and better jobs, and other sources of income.

After this pandemic, so many companies will look to become more efficient so as to save cost. Some will let staff go, some will reduce salaries, some will never re-open.

What you want to do is position yourself to be in the best position whatever happens.

3. Upgrade and update your CV. Polish it.

And who knows, you might be starting a new job when all this is over

4. Learn some digital and IT related skills.

Learn to be proficient with the use of computers. Learn to work from home if need be

This pandemic will change the way companies view work even in Nigeria.

Being IT compliant will be an even bigger requirement in the coming days.

Also encourage your children to get digital skills this period. Not just staying home and playing games.

Use the 2 links to checkout courses from google and Facebook where anyone can learn digital skills such as Facebook advertising, SEO, SM management etc and get certified. For free

https://learndigital.withgoogle.com/digitalgarage

https://web.facebook.com/business/learn?_rdc=1&_rdr

5. Apply for scholarships abroad.

Even inspite of the Covid-19 crisis, there are a number of prestigious scholarships that are still accepting applicants.

I believe scholarships are less competitive this period.

One scholarship program I know of that is currently ongoing is that of King's College, London for Phd applicants.

Heres the link

https://www.kcl.ac.uk/study/funding/africa-international-pgr-scholarships

The deadline is April 1st

6. Research on countries you plan on immigrating to

If you have got plans to relocate abroad, now is a good time to research the countries you will like to relocate to.

Go to their consulate websites. Research their requirments, research costs and get other useful information.

Countries that have closed their borders will re-open again after this pandemic is over.

And the demand for immigrants will skyrocket once this is over for example in a country like Canada.

When it comes to relocating abroad, useful information can save you hundreds of thousands and even millions of Naira.

Saved money you can channel into other productive venture.

Also now is a good time to check if the country you have in mind to relocate to are treating its citiens well.

For example Canada. If anybody still had doubts about Canada, with the way they have handled this crisis, I'm sure all doubts will have been cleared by now.

If you have got IELTS or any exam to wrote now is a perfect time to prepare.

For now, the corona virus is ravaging the world, and we are stuck at home.

But, dont just pause your life and spend time doing nothing. Get productive and position yourself so you can be in a better place when this crisi is over.

As for me, I purchased a course on online business strategy and Facebook advertising.

But I didn't have the time to really study them.

By the end of these 14 days, I would have finished and gained a great deal of proficiency in these programs.

And oh, dont forget to exercise this period. Its inevitable that you put on some extra weight

So exercise, else your clothes will be needing amendment after lockdown wink

Wishing you and your family safety in this Covid-19 period.

Stay safe.

Can one be granted visa if he doesn't know anyone abroad, in countries like Germany, Canada or other European countries ?

Except you are still a minor (U - 18 years of age) immigrating to the countries you mentioned without knowing anyone there is not something that should give you headache.

What you should be more concerned about are:

1. What is your purpose for wanting to immigrate - Is it for job or for schooling or business?

2. Do you meet the immigration requirements, and

3. Do you have enough funds

Go to the official consular website of whichever country you want to immigrate to, study their different immigration programs and see the one that best suits you.

Below are the countries you mentioned and their immigration links:

Canada - https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada.html

German Missions in Nigeria - https://nigeria.diplo.de/ng-en

Many people have relocated abroad without knowing anyone, and many others will. So do not let it stop you.

- Job offer

- Etc

Your age is within range for the program.

However, as to be expected, some, employers, not all though, might have their preferences as regards age.

And your kids, I imagine they are still young (less than 18).

If any is above 22 and you plan on travelling with them, you will have to familiarize yourself with what the IRCC says about dependants.

You say you have neither experience nor qualifications.

That is not enough details with which to advice you.

If you have up to an OND, you should seriously give thought to Canada's Home Child Care Provider Pilot and Home Support Worker Pilot program.

You do not require proof of funds, and the requirements are low

1. Minimum OND

2. IELTS test score of 5.0 or higher in each of the language test

3. You are admissible (basically this has to do with criminal record and sound health)

4. You have a valid and genuine job offer in the Canadian Homecare industry

(There is a high demand for workers in this industry. That's why this program was even launched. To bridge the job gap because of shortage of workers)

5. Show you can do the job you're offered.

Visit the Canada IRCC website for details

I’m taking IELTS this year . And I want it to be a smooth one .im 25 years old . Please your reply will be appreciated .if possible I would like to have your WhatsApp number . If u can assist me personally .thanks a million

Hello Umimer,

Based on your educational level, you are qualified for the Canada homecare support program. The bench mark educational requirement is 1 year post secondary school education ( in our own case, OND). And you have a B.Sc

As per your chances, the Canadian embassy is in the best position to answer that.

However, if you meet these requirements:

1. Minimum OND
2. IELTS test score of 5.0 or higher in each of the language test
3. You are admissible (basically this has to do with criminal record and sound health)
4. You have a valid and genuine job offer in the Canadian homecare industry
5. Show you can do the job you're offered

...I'd say you stand an excellent chance

3rdly, as regards your transcripts, you need it for your Educational Credentials Assessment (ECA).

Your school can either send it to the institution carrying out the ECA (preferable option) or you send it yourself in a sealed, signed and stamped envelope. Theres a process to it.

Other documents you need are school certificates, birth certificate, legal document showing change of name (if applicable) etc, etc

You can shoot me a mail info@iknowexperts.com.ng

Good evening ojoduoludare.

The answer to your question is yes.

The Homecare program is open to people of all professions

What is most important as regards educational requirement for this program is that, you should have at least one year post secondary school certificate.in Nigeria, that will translate to OND.

Cheers!

pls op how much will it cost me to do the exam? Can u just explain more about the cost of each of the exams. Can I also use neco cert. Thanks alot.

Good evening Nkemella.

Yes. You can use NECO.

However, I will say again that for the Homecare Support program, the requirement as regards education is a minimum of one year post secondary school experience. In our case in Nigeria, that will be OND

To determine if you have met the requirement of one year post secondary school experience, you have to do what is called an Education Credential Assessment (ECA).

The ECA is not an exam. It is just an evaluation of your educational credentials.

It cost 220 Canadian dollars which is about 61,000 Naira

As regards the IELTS fee, the British council charges 75,000 Naira for the test.

Good evening @tooslar.

I understand. You're not alone actually. lots of people also face this same dilemma.

But here is the thing...

You can submit only your highest qualification and it will be successfully evaluated. Also you can submit all your credentials.

However, here is why I'll advise you to submit all your credentials:

1. It is still the same amount you will pay for the ECA. Whether you submit only the highest, or all your credentials.

The only extra charges you might incur are third party charges, like maybe your school asking for a fee to forward your documents to WES or any other evaluation agency you are using

If there are such extra charges, fine. To me it is worth it because...

2. There is a possibility that your highest degree will be rejected. The possibility is slim. But it is still a possibility.

When such happens, the ECA continues the evaluation with the remaining credentials.

So, that's my advise. Submit all your credentials for ECA

Cheers!

I felt compelled to say this here because of recent happenings in the country, and a discussion I had with a colleague.

If you are looking towards relocation abroad through Canada immigration and you have not started the process yet for one reason or the other...

Here are some requirements you should start getting. Even if you do not have all the resources to relocate now:

1. Nigerian International passport. Validity period is 10 years for the new one. And 5 years for the old one

2. ECA. Educational Credential Assessment. If you do not have a Canadian education credential, you need this assessment for certain immigration programs to show that your degree or diploma is equivalent to those of Canada. Validity is 5 years. This means you can use the assessment 5 years after you first got it

3. IELTS. This is an exam to test your English language proficiency. Different Canada immigration programs have different required scores. Some programs require high scores. A few require low scores.

Validity period of the IELTS test is 2 years.

As a side note, if your inability to score a high IELTS score is serving as a stumbling block to your relocation dream, you could try other immigration programs that require low IELTS score.

One of such is the Canada Home care program discussed here. It is a new program with less competition and relatively easier requirements. IELTS requirement is CLB of 5.0. Requires no proof of funds. It is a fast program to relocate with (6 months if your papers are set) etc

You can learn more about it in the link I will share at the end of this post.

On to the next item...

4. Prepare your documents. Choose a likely immigration program you will want to relocate with. Start gathering documents according to that program.

And above all, get the right information. It can save you hundreds of thousands. And even millions in Naira.

Why am I saying these things?

You dont have to wait till you have all the money before you start rushing, and taking action towards relocation.

You can start now to plan your self. And give yourself a timeline to get each item listed above.

For example, if you dont have an international passport yet, you could get it first. Since it has the longest validity period.

You can also use the opportunity to visit one or two foreign countries if you can. Even if it is neighbouring West African countries. You're doing this to have travel history

Travel history is not really compulsory. However it boosts your chances during immigration.

Next, you can do your ECA for your educational credentials.

And so on

You get the gist right?

No need to wait till you have all the resources before you start rushing (big mistake) to travel to Canada, or wherever you wish.

You can start now to plan yourself.

Cheers to dream come true.

tooslar:
I called an immigration agent who told me that the UK shortage occupation list is only applicable to those who obtained their Masters Degree in UK

Hello tooslar

Thanks for your contribution

Among the requirements given by the UK High Commission for the UK General work visa (tier 2) and the shortage occupation jobs, there is nowhere they mentioned having a Masters from the UK as as a compulsory or minimum requirement.

With a Bachelors degree and the right skills, one can apply successfully and get a UK work visa, even for jobs not in the shortage occupation list which are harder to get.

A UK masters is not among the minimum requirements. It is not among the minimum requirements

I'll explain further

Look at some of the jobs listed in the shortage occupation. Some of the jobs like nurses, dancers, paramedics, social workers etc do not require a masters.

Jobs are classified under "shortage occupation" because there are not enough people in the UK and the EU Economic Area (EEA) take up these jobs. So they make it easier for foreigners to apply and get these jobs.

You see? It doesn't just make sense to ask them bring a UK obtained masters.

Some people who have gotten to the UK via this route had never been there prior to getting the shortage occupation job.

Immigration agents and consultants can be very helpful. However it is also very important you carry out due diligence with the country's high commission. That's the best place to get any immigration info you need.

Thanks for your contribution. Best regards.

heniford2:
Please sir What about single individual can the apply to this and how to go about it

Hello heniford2, nice to hear from you.

To your question, A single individual can apply and go alone for both the Canada and UK programs. It's not compulsory one goes with a spouse, or dependants

As regards the second part of your question, for the UK program, when you get the job (remember you can apply for jobs online), you are expected to apply for a visa within 3 months. And within 3 weeks you get an answer from the UK embassy.

This means that even before applying for the visa most of your documents should be ready.

Here are some of the documents and requirements you would need to apply for visa

- Your academic certificates
- IELTS results with a CLB of 6.5
- Overseas criminal records certificate gotten from your country of residence if you will be working in health, social care or education sectors
- certificate of sponsorship from a licensed sponsor (your employer)
- of course your international passport
- etc

The application fees are cheaper since you are going through "shortage occupation"
464 pounds per person if you're applying for a 3 years visa or less.
928 pounds person if applying for a visa above 3 years.

You can get more info in the links I shared in the body of the article above

Immigration Program no 2...

CANADA'S HOME CARE SUPPORT IMMIGRATION PROGRAM

This is one of the newest, easiest, fastest and cheapest means to relocate Canada till date

Due to the hign demand for workers in the Home Care industry, the Canadian government in 18th June, 2019 launched the Home Care Support Program to make it easier for people living in other countries to come into Canada and work in this industry.

All you need is to have a job offer in the Home Care industry, and the Canadian government will give you a Visa to come live and work in Canada, together with your family.

While both genders can apply for the Home Care program, the Principal or Main Applicant will be restricted to work in the Home Care Industry for 2 years.

The other partner will be given a Work Permit Visa which enables him/her to do business or work in almost any field with his/her credentials. It could be Engineering, Oil and Gas, Teaching, Telecoms etc. And the children will be issued Study Visas

After 2 years, workers in the Home Care industry are free to change career paths, or take higher roles in the Health and Medical industry.

Also, you are qualified to apply and get a Permanent Residency for you and your family.

The requirements for this Visa are not steep compared to other Canada programs.

The most important requirement is to get a job offer in the Home Care industry.

Other requirements are:

- WASSCE plus one year post Secondary school experience or OND

- Even the IELTS requirement is low. You need a CLB score of 5.0 which means scoring 5.0 in each of the Language tests except Reading which has a requirement of 4.0

- There is no need for proof of funds since there is a job waiting for you when you land in Canada. However, it is advisable to have funds to cover expenses for the first month while awaiting the first salary

There is a high demand for Home Care workers, and there are employers willing to sponsor your trip to Canada. The salary range for jobs in this industry is $2,500 - $3,500.

The various jobs in the Home Care industry are:

- Home Support Worker
- Nursing Assistant
- Community Support Worker
- Public Health Worker
Etc

You can easily apply for jobs in the Home Care industry in Canada by using LinkedIn.

Definitely, there is also a lot to learn if you want to explore this route. You can visit

And check out this video from someone who has already relocated to Canada

If you have your papers set, in 6 months you could be on your way to  the UK or Canada with your family using either of these options.

Immigration Program no 1...

UNITED KINGDOM TIER 2 (GENERAL) VISA THROUGH "SHORTAGE OCCUPATION"

Using this route, all you need do is apply for a job classified under 'shortage occupation' and when you get the job, you will be issued a visa by the government to come live and work in the UK.

In the UK, there are jobs in industries that are classified as "shortage occupation". This means that there is a noticeable lack of available workers in these sectors, and there is a high demand for qualified workers there.

These jobs range from Medical doctors, nurses, electrical, civil, mechanical electronic engineers, cyber security specialists l, graphic designers, IT business analysts, programmers, Medical practitoners, secondary school teachers, social workers artists, dancers etc

There are a multitude of jobs cutting across different sectors. You can see the full list at:
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration-rules/immigration-rules-appendix-k-shortage-occupation-list

You can apply for shortage occupation jobs using the following websites:

LinkedIn
Glassdoor.com
Prospects.ac.uk

Or any other means online. Or if you know someone in the UK working in any of these sectors, they can apply for you.

When you get the job under "shortage occupation" all you need do is apply for the UK general Visa (tier 2). If you are going with your partner, he/she will apply as a spouse. If you are going with your children, they will apply individually as dependants. This program only allow dependants outside of the UK who are below 18 years of age

Normally, if you are applying for the UK General Visa (Tier 2) one of the requirements is that you need to have £945 to support your self for a month. And close to £700 for each person you will be bringing with you. And you must prove that this money have been in your account for a period of 90 days before your application.

However, you do not needs this proof of funds in your account if you get a job under the shortage occupation. This is because you will be given a Certificate of Sponsorship by your employer.

In that certificate, it will be stated that your employer is willing to give you the above amount if it is needed during the initial period of your stay in the UK. The employer will also give you other information you will require to apply. This certificate is essential if you are to get the Visa.

Not all employers are qualified to issue out Certificates of Sponsorship. Only employers fully approved as 'A-Rated' sponsor can issue you Certificates of sponsorships. So, when you are applying for jobs, ensure that the company you are applying to is classified as 'A-Rated sponsor'.

You can download latest list of A-Rated sponsors using this link:
https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/register-of-licensed-sponsors-workers

You will require this certificate of sponsorship while applying for the visa and your employer will also help you in the application process.

The good thing is that you only apply for the visa after you get the job, 3 months before you are due to start work in the UK. The date you can start is stated in the Certificate of sponsorship
With this visa, you and your family can live and work in the UK for up to 3 years, extendable to a maximum of 6 years.

However, after 5 years of your stay in the UK you are qualified to apply for an Indefinite Leave of Remain (ILR) what is popularly known as Permanent Residency (PR). Which essentially means you enjoy almost all the benefits a UK citizen enjoy

And one year after getting your PR, you are eligible to apply for a UK citizenship, which will confer on you the same rights and privileges citizens of the UK enjoy in and outside the UK. You also have access to visa free travel to 184 countries in the world.

Here is why getting this visa is so easy, this type of visa is awarded using a points based system, to get the Visa you must get at least 70 points.

You are awarded points by considering several factors, but if you have a job which is classified among the shortage occupation, and you have gotten your certificate of sponsorship, you are automatically awarded 30 points.

If the pay of the job is above 30 000 pounds per annum or the same as standard salary for that job in the UK, you are awarded another 20 points which makes a total of 50 points. Getting extra 20 to make it 70 points is easy.

Another requirement is to prove your proficiency in English language. Which means you will have to write the IELTS or any other recommended English proficiency exam. You will need to score a 6.5 in each section.

However, there are certain categories of people who are exempted from taking the exams. One of such people are those whose Bachelors, Masters, or PHD degrees are recognized to be equivalent to the respective degrees in the UK.

This is done by the National Academic Recognition Information Center NARIC, UK.
Proof of proficiency in English gives 10 points automatically. Whether you write the IELTS or not.

There's clearly a lot of information to learn about obtaining this type of Visa. You can learn more by visiting the official UK website
https://www.gov.uk/tier-2-general

The bottom line of getting this visa is just find a job in the UK which is classified under "shortage occupation" and you will easily be granted Visa to relocate to the UK with your family.

Below are list of shortage occupation jobs.
