Darhmee: Hello everyone.. sorry iv been absent for a while.. congrats to everyone who had a succesful interview.. the Lord will continue to be on our side.. and also, a big welcome to all the new members of this our beautiful threadYou'll be asked to confirm your address at the POE by the CBP officer. The best bet is to correctly give the new address at the POE and let USCIS continue from there. You should be able to track your physical GC using ELIS after being admitted into the US. The first sub topic in this link http://www.uscis.gov/tools/after-receiving-decision should allay your fears. Hope this helps. |

But if he's willing to house why not stay. Accommodation there is not beans esp New York. You'll learn more when you arrive. Cheers! |
Please I need some help ASAP. I don't live in Nigeria, so my friend would be going to alagbon close on my behalf with the filled police form(fingerprinted and signed already by me) and money(4K). Does anyone have someone in Police Dept (Alagbon close) who helped him/her get the police report. My friend doesn't know anyone there, hence he could be a "maga". Should he just go to alagbon close and tell the soldiers at the gate that he wants to do police report? How best should he go about it. My interview is in 3 weeks from now. Thanks a lot. |
Madu77: CONGRATS MY DEAR, AM HAPPY FOR YOU. AM WITHIN THIS RANGE AND AM WAITING FOR MY 2NL. GOODLUCKGlad to know. But if you're really anxious you can call KCC and you'll be told if your interview is by the corner. Cheers! |
kennex89: our case number is also CN:AF2014000083** and i have checked my email twice but didnt get anything from KCC and we sent our forms down since july. though i just mailed kcc now to confirm what the problem might be.Our CN's are really really close. It's possible you'll be interviewed in feb also. When they reply your email you'll know better. Or if you want it quicker you can Just call. |
kennex89: @ ikomboy please when did you get the 2nl cos i just checked this night and i found nothing and i have sent my forms since july.At first I called kcc not knowing they had already released the 2NL online and sent me and email. I got it less than 2 hours ago. I think before Dec ends your 2NL may come out. Pls be patient, I was really anxious myself. FYI, I sent my forms last week of June. God is in control. It's gonna come soon. |
Hello my e-family...2NL is out. my interview has just been slated for Feb 3, 2014... So if you're current you may want to check for your interview date. I must say this nairaland thread is the best EXPO anyone can have for the interview. I know OLUWA is involved already. Thanks everyone for all your inputs. CN:AF2014000083**. A quick question: do I need to renew my passport that's expiring September 2014 or is it good to go for the interview? |
westcodes: I played on my return home, congrats on been current, how is the police clearance thing going?I live outside NIGERIA so I am looking for a trusted way to get police record from Lagos 'cause the one I got in September when I went home is expired. Will you have your interview outside NIGERIA? 'Cause I think there are some extra things needed from those who will be interviewed outside NIGERIA. |
westcodes: Maybe I'm part of the system?...haha ogaboss, I'm not o! I'm just paying extra attention to the VB cos I need to get police certificates from a couple of places and they are time sensitive.Lol. well done mr westcodes, it doesnt matter how you get the visa bulletin info. i am in the same situation like you where i need police certificates for different places. it seems you applied from outside nigeria. correct? i've some concerns since i would be interviewed outside nigeria...btw my CN is current so i'm chilling for 2NL |
Woooow...In exactly 7 days time, the first set of visas would be granted for DV 2014...We all cant wait...If you will be having your visa interview outside Nigeria, please can you write some of the documents you must provide that those in Nigeria dont need to get and share any challenges/experiences you've had on this journey and how you overcame it...For example, over here, I would be needing an affidavit of support(which i'm not yet sure, if i need it) and my Nigerian police report would be expiring in December so I just have to be up for interview before then, else I may have to travel again to Nigeria which is not so coool, CN is 83**...@ernestleon, @delph_ne and others pls share your stories/challenges for us to learn from...thank you |
hello winners...For the police record:I've lived in 2 different states in Nigeria since I was 16. Am I supposed to get the police reports for the 2 states I lived in which is correct according to the police records section in this link http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/visa_4760.html or should I get the police report from Nigeria Police Force, Alagbon Close, Ikoyi, Lagos which is correct according to this link http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/fees/fees_5455.html?cid=9704. I need someone to please clarify it because I'm confused...Are we supposed to get ONE AND ONLY ONE police record/certificate in Nigeria no matter the number of different places we have lived in since we were 16? Thanks a lot fellow selectees, we'll surely have causes to smile beginning from October this year as we get our visas. Amen. |
hello house... I'm so glad to have found this online community...this is the way Nigerians truly are: helpful and kind. Not the way we are negatively portrayed to the world. $25,000 worth of Thanks to Adesojiaderemi@ for starting this helpful thread (You've saved a lot of people from wasting time and $$$) and all the helpful contributors. God bless you all, as you help others "cross the bridge" that you've already crossed...I'm learning a lot from you guys. Wuna well done ooo. I hope to write my story on this thread some day soon...thanks a lot true Nigerians... ![]() |
