The story is sometimes painful when buying retail from china , seller can be dubious and send you fake or poor quality products.
Let's move now to Bulk purchase. how best can you:
1. ensure your seller is licensed in China?
2. How do I confirm if my products comply with national
standards?
3. Auditing and ensuring quality product is made according to my sample and specifications
4. how best can I be sure that all unit of my products are made according to sample not half original and half fake?
5 how do I make sure that the total unit of my consignment is complete before shipping?
what is CE, ROHS , SONCAP, ISO and what we need to know about them?
Note: I have seen people loose money because they fail to look deeply into issues like this, even when they travel to China to carry out the transaction themselves. we heard about a nairalnder that went to China to purchase 50m worth of caustic soda, 20 million worth were original caustic and remaining were all fake.

I will not lie to you, N2m will not get you a good kord, you will end up buying scrap and try servicing it to work, most times those machines can not print properly. A good kord is like N5m, the printer is outdated but in the hands of a pro it can do wonders. I suggest you start with souvenir printing for mugs, heat transfer on t-shirts and others or you could purchase a heidelberg guillotine for cutting alone, if you are in the midst of a lot of printers you would smile to the bank. All you do is cut paper to specification and the machine is easy to operate, you could bag N5k easy everyday, when I was doing my industrial training, the press I worked had 3 one colour kord, one 4 colour speedmaster, a guillotine and dye cutter. The guillotine alone grossed at least N10k daily in day shift, the press ran 24 hours.

DI is an expensive machine that aside, it beats the Kord hands down. With di you do not develop printing films and plates instead the printer can be hooked to a computer and you simply click print. You can print 1 copy of a job or print 20, 000 copies the di is always ready to deliver unlike Kord where you have to print at least a thousand copies for the job to make economic sense. Depending on what you can afford, the di can print and with accessories act as a guillotine or dye cutter. As in with a di, all you have to do is click print and it prints, cut and arrange.

With the Kord after designing, you save the job as bitmap to enable colour separation, then it goes for film development, where cyan, magenta, yellow and black films are developed then those films are given to lithographer to etch on plates with light, those plates are then fixed to the Kord machine starting with yellow, then magenta, then cyan and black. There is a cross on each plate with which colour lapping is tested, if your Kord operator is impatient the print will not show, in printing when a print does not show, it means the 4 colours did not lap. Some clients might overlook such shoddy jobs but some are very critical.

if money is no object, get a small di machine but even that won't cost less than N15m but the advantages over the Kord are just too much.

Kord is a reliable and serviceable brand of printer. Stick with it. The modern printing machine is DI, it can print from A6 to large banners but stick with the Kord if you can afford it. It is very versatile and rugged.

Please you will not get a kord for brand new, those machines are outdated. What you will get is belgium or refurbished.

yes, i own a printing outfit and employ all those machine when the need arises but the beautity of it is that i own none of those machine due to its cost and servicing cost(maintainance). I have the basic one which is enoght to execute any job no matter the quantity. Not that my coy can't purchase them but i just opted to cut down the cost of running it. Printing press is very lucrative but a capital intensive venture. The rest is buz secret. I can just advise u to get a cord machine if u must purchase one. The cord can do any job on all sizes of paper. The colour seperation can be as sharper as direct image if u have a skilled operator. 3million is for new one. Polar is also important cos u can't keep exposing clients job to other competitor who seem to have the polar. The polar come in sizes, u may decide to go for the small one which will still be efficient in whaterver u might want to do. Lithographic is either done manually with carefully constructed class with foam with the exposure to sunlight OR u get the heater machine. On the part of artist, do u also want to employ one and still purchase a digital machine for colour seperation? U must sit down and draw a scale of preference my guy

what kind of press do u want to run. the printing press business is stratified. U need a graphic artist, lithograhic for plate making, a 201 machine for A4 PRINTING which also print colour seperation or u have the resources for a polar machine for cutting of paper, cord that can do ur job on cut 2 sizes and zord. If u say a standard printing press, u should be specfic. A 201 machine cost 750k, cord is around 3million etc
