Brother of Limpopo crooner KCEE, Emeka ’E-Money’ Okonkwo may be sued by the directors and shareholders of Borisa Nigeria Limited over alleged impersonation, defamation and injurious falsehood against the company. This was contained in a petition by the company’s Chairman/Managing Director, Chief Boniface Nworisa, that alleged misrepresentation of facts and falsehood in an interview granted by Okonkwo. The petition alleged that E-Money in the interview published by a newspaper allegedly claimed that he incorporated and founded Borisa Nigeria Limited in 1997. The petitioners have described this statement as false, misleading, fraudulent, malicious and defamatory adding that he did not register or own the company as alleged. According to them,“Contrary to his claims of registration and ownership of the company, he was initially an apprentice and later became an employee before he left the company in 2005.” To this end, the petitioners said they had suffered substantial monetary and emotional damages and embarrassment as a result of the statement made in the said interview.

Politics / Bola Tinubu:"Unseating Jonathan,An Incumbent President,My Most Difficult Battle" by IlajeGal1: 5:53am On Feb 20, 2016
The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has said his most difficult battle ever in life is ousting an incumbent president Goodluck Jonathan in the 2015 general elections. Tinubu revealed this in an interview with senior editors at The Sun ahead of the Sun Man of the Year Award which the astute politician will be honoured in Lagos later today.

In his words, Tinubu during the interview said,“President Jonathan’s battle was the toughest. When you are fighting the incumbent, it is tough. You had the challenge of terrorism; you had a class that is divided and a nation that was almost moving from its focus of religious tolerance and diversity to religious division. You had a system that had been corrupted beyond anybody’s imagination. People were being bombarded with money in Lagos. But you have to forget personal temptation”.

On how he engaged former President Obasanjo on the political field, Tinubu said, “Obasanjo, during his time disobeyed court order on the disbursement of money for local governments in Lagos but you knew where he was coming from; you just had to be careful. That period was also a bit challenging. There are different situations that you had to face with different strategies. But to unseat an incumbent president in Africa was the toughest battle. It was not easy".

On his role in politics as a political godfather, Tinubu further said “Godfather is not negative but godlords are. They are the mafias. Godfathers exist even in the church. If you call me a godfather, it is alright. I have many children everywhere.” Explaining his position further, Tinubu added that, “You are talking about imposition in a democracy. If you are a strong adviser, you would get blackmailed; you have seen great qualities in an individual and one that has capacity to do good; you identify those you believe can deliver on the evolution of good governance.

"I have a responsibility to recommend. My party has a right to reject the person. When I identified Babatunde Fashola, some people shouted imposition but when he started to blossom like flowers in the garden, Fashola now became their child. The umbilical chord is buried and the baby has survived. In democracy, sometimes, you have the sprinkle of dictatorship too when you know that you are working on the overall interest of the people. You have facts that some people do not have; so you do not get angry.”

Celebrities / Don Jazzy: "I Had Left Senator Ben Murray-Bruce's Party Before D'banj Performed" by IlajeGal1: 1:52am On Feb 20, 2016
By JUMI RHODES

Following comments on Twitter that ace producer Don Jazzy deliberately left the venue of Senator Ben Murray-Bruce's 60th birthday party so he will avoid performing alongside music star D'banj, the MAVIN honcho has refuted these claims as untrue. Murray-Bruce had made a request that Don Jazzy and D'banj should perform together at his party. In Murray-Bruce's words,"Please do this for me, it is my birthday request.”

Responding to Murray-Bruce's request, D’ banj said,”Sir, I have given serious consideration to this. Before I came on stage, I went to Don Jazzy and asked him to join me on stage. If he (Don Jazzy) gives me a beat today, the song will be ready the next day.” This never happened as Don Jazzy was not in the hall for the 'proposed' performance.

Reacting to this in a series of tweets on Twitter, Don Jazzy said, "Haba na whats going on pls? I already announced that I am taking a break from being an artist. Hence why I didn’t perform Surulere with Dr Sid and concur with Timaya. My team also performed tonight na guys. I didn’t show up. I am not an artist I take GOD beg una. Moreover I had left the venue way before Dbanj’s performance though." Politics / "More Biafran Embassies Will Be Established In 2016" - Nnamdi Kanu/IPOB by IlajeGal1: 5:32am On Feb 18, 2016
Ahead of Nnamdi Kanu's trial coming up on Friday over charges of treasonable felony, which carries a maximum life sentence, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) movement says it plans to establish more embassies in various countries in 2016. Kanu has been in detention since October 2015 following threats made via his underground media outlet Radio Biafra, which called for independence for Biafra, a region in southeast Nigeria that existed as an independent republic between 1967 and 1970.

A spokesperson for the Kanu family in a message to Newsweek said the embattled Biafra leader Nnamdi Kanu says IPOB will establish more embassies in 2016. IPOB currently has an embassy in Vitoria-Gasteiz, the capital of the Basque Country in northern Spain, which was established in February 2015. IPOB’s head of directorate of state, Uchenna Asiegbu, is head of the Biafran embassy in Spain.

Asiegbu told Newsweek that countries like Sweden, Russia, Canada, the U.S. and Australia are on the shortlist as potential destinations for the next embassy. According to him,“We are looking to two or three countries but we have not made up our minds. In some months to come, we will be making that decision.” Meanwhile Asiegbu said the Basque Country was chosen as the location for the first IPOB embassy because of its history as the site of a struggle for independence.

Politics / "Jonathan&PDP Governors Disappointed Us With Sheriff's Appointment"-Ex-Ministers by IlajeGal1: 4:49am On Feb 18, 2016
By JUMI RHODES

Following the emergence of Senator Ali Modu Sheriff as acting chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stakeholders in the opposition party have remained disunited and Sheriff's choice has pitched former president Dr. Goodluck Jonathan against members of his former cabinet. Jonathan is said to have backed Sheriff, but about 15 ex-ministers(who served in Jonathan's administration)disagreed, saying they might review their membership of the PDP should Sheriff’s candidacy be upheld. The ex-ministers met last night in Asokoro, vowing to resist the Sheriff’s imposition, even as Dr. Jonathan is said to have called to congratulate Sheriff who he allegedly described as “the right choice for the opposition”.

The spokesman for former ministers in Jonathan’s administration, Dr. Suleiman Abubakar, in a statement in Abuja, said: “Our rescue mission has failed, the redemption boat has capsized and our journey to recovery has come to an end. Whosoever partook in the decision does not mean well for the party and democracy in Nigeria. It is obvious the fifth columnists have hijacked the party and they are hell bent on sinking it deeper into irrecoverable level of the pit. Some of us would rather review our membership than subject ourselves to selfish interests of a cabal whose main goal is political profiteering. After all our umbilical cord is not tied to any party.”

Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) Governors Forum yesterday expressed confidence in the ability of Ali Modu Sheriff, to reposition the party and make it more inclusive. In a statement by the Coordinator of the forum, Mr. Osaro Onaiwu, it stated that: “Sheriff is coming on the job with immense wealth of experience and will, no doubt, use his vast network to rebuild the party. He will restore members’ confidence and act as a counterforce to the many antics of the present APC regime.

“We urge you to shun all diversionary tactics that might be thrown at you and concentrate on how to bring all aggrieved party members together; as well as fashion out ways to woo new members, especially the youths. The forum is solidly behind you and will deploy its support to ensure that the shared vision for our party is realised as we prepare for 2019.”

Politics / How Ojogbane Adegbe Transported N10bn In 17 Suitcases To PDP Chiefs - Today.ng by IlajeGal1: 2:39am On Feb 12, 2016
Detectives are questioning former President Goodluck Jonathan’s ex-Aide-De-Camp (ADC) on the disbursement of more than N10 billion oil proceeds to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) nomination convention delegates.

Col. Ojogbane Adegbe is being detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), which is on the trail of another key aide to the former President – Waripamowei Dudafa, former Special Assistant on Domestic Affairs.

Adegbe and Dudafa collected the cash — $47m and some Euros from the Office of the National Security Adviser(ONSA), it was learnt.

The money was diverted by ONSA from a Signature Bonus Account in the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
The N10billion is believed to have been diverted from oil receipts as follows: USD5.0M(November 14,2014); $47m( November 27, 2014); Euro 4.0M (December 3, 2014) and Euro 1.6M(December 24, 2014)
It was learnt that the former ADC was yesterday relocated from Mogadishu Cantonment for quizzing by the EFCC on the disbursement of the cash.
A source said: “We spent hours to grill the ADC on how he got and disbursed the $47million which was delivered to him in about 17 suitcases.

“The money was diverted from the CBN to bribe or settle PDP delegates to adopt ex-President Goodluck Jonathan for second term.

“We have asked him in the last 12 hours to account for how he came about the cash.

“He is also expected to provide the list of beneficiaries of the largesse. All the beneficiaries will be unveiled by the EFCC and they have to refund public funds.”
On Dudafa, the top source said: “We are tracking him down. We are trying to locate his whereabouts in Dubai and some Caribbean Islands.
“What is certain is that Dudafa has moved out of the country to avoid being arrested by the anti-graft agency.”

The N10billion was taken from the Signature Bonus Account( oil block account ) with the CBN.

In an October 29, 2015 to EFCC, the apex bank said: “Your letter ref: EFCC/EC/ CBN/ 12/163 dated 21st September 2015 to the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria and the directive by the management that we provide some explanations, we wish to state as follows:

“The N10billion constitutes two tranches of N5.08billion each debited to the CBN/OAGF SIGNATURE BONUS ACCOUNT NO 400225220 vide OAGF memo Ref: FD/LP2015/1/28 DF to the Office of the National Security Adviser A/C Number 20172241019 with the CBN Abuja and the second was for credit into the account of National Security Adviser Account Number 1014199287 with Zenith Bank Plc Wuse II Abuja.

“The transactions were consummated on November 10, 2014. The mandate that authorised the withdrawal of USD47.0M was from the Office of the National Security Adviser(ONSA) with REF: NSA/366/S dated November 26, 2014. The mandate was processed for dollar cash payment to Mr. S. A. Salisu on November 27, 2014.

“The USD5.0M was via a memo from the ONSA memo REF: ACCT/86/VOL. 2/ 218 dated November 13, 2014. The National Security Adviser Account Number 20172241019 was debited and Dollar cash payment made to Mr. Wambai Ibrahim on November 14, 2014 in line with the mandate.
“The Euro 4.0M and Euro 1.6M transactions were via mandate from ONSA memo REF: NASS/ 366/S dated November 26, 2014. The NSA’s Account Number 20172241019 was debited and Euro cash payment effected as follows: Euro 4.0M on December 3, 2014 and Euro 1.6M was on December 24, 2014. These sums were released to Mr. S. A. Salisu as stipulated in the mandate. Attached are copies of all the relevant documents please.”

The CBN Governor responded to a letter ( EFCC/EC/CBN/12/163) of 21st September, 2015 by a former Chairman of EFCC,Mr. Ibrahim Lamorde.
The three-paragraph letter said: “ This commission is investigating a case of Abuse of Office and money laundering of funds for special services by the Office of the National Security Adviser which were withdrawn in November 2014.
“We seek your kind assistance to provide available information on the disbursement of the funds with copies of relevant documents, including transfers to foreign and local banks and cash withdrawals.
“Thank you in anticipation of your usual cooperation.”
In his Statement of Witness/Accused Person which had been filed in the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory(FCT), ex-NSA, Col. Sambo Dasuki said the over N10billion was given to the ADC and Dudafa.
He said: “That I am aware in November, I cannot remember the exact date. My office requested the CBN to exchange N10billion from the account of the Office Nations Security Adviser domiciled in CBN. The money was exchanged and $47m and some Euros which I cannot remember the exact amount was delivered at my residence.
“The money was for delegates that attended the nomination convention for the PDP presidential nomination. The money was paid and sent to Hon. Dudafa(SSAP Household) and ADC(C-I-C) for distribution on the instruction of the President.
“Based on the statement of Director of Finance and Administration (Salisu), Ibrahim Wambai, and Yazidu Ibrahim, all the cash(both foreign and local) are usually given to them for official use.”

Foreign Affairs / 4-year-old Isa Dare Bombs 4 ISIS Prisoners In Syria (Pics) by IlajeGal1: 9:01am On Feb 11, 2016
Shocking new ISIS video shows four-year-old British boy dubbed 'Jihadi Junior' blowing up four alleged spies in a car bomb
British boy Isa Dare, four, pushes button that blows up four unarmed men
*He declared 'we will kill kuffar [non believers]' in last video he appeared in
*Seven minute long video shows unarmed men confessing to being spies
*Young Dare yells 'Allahu Akbar' next to charred remains of car in footage
*Senior jihadi in video threatens David Cameron for arming ISIS' enemies
*See more on the latest Islamic State video and the British 'Jihadi Junior'

The four year old British boy dubbed 'Jihadi Junior' has been filmed detonating the bomb which kills four ISIS prisoners in the group's latest execution video.
Isa Dare, the son of Muslim convert Grace 'Khadija' Dare from south east London, pushes the button that blows up four alleged spies sitting in a white car behind him.
Standing triumphantly next to the charred remains of the car, his hand raised to the sky, the boy then yells: 'Allahu Akbar.'
It is the second time the young boy, who was brainwashed after his mother took him to Syria three years ago, has appeared in one of the extremists' propaganda videos.

His grandfather told of how the child begged him to save him just days before he was forced to appear in the first video last month.
In what was seen as a 'promotion' of this latest murderous release, Dare was made to declare: 'We are going to kill the kuffar [non-believers] over there' - before pointing to the men killed in today's video.
The latest video, which is believed to be shot in ISIS's de facto capital of Raqqa, was entitled: 'They are the enemy so be aware of them.'

One by one, each man confessed to either spying on, or conspiring against, ISIS. They were later seen handcuffed to the inside of a car - with a look of utter fear in their eyes.
Before they were killed, the senior ISIS commander standing next to the boy threatened British Prime Minister David Cameron for arming the terror group's enemies in Syria.
He said: 'You will never fight us except behind fortified fortresses or behind walls.
'So no David Cameron, you’ve given the whole world more certainty in this [inaudible]. You’ve only done two things.

'Firstly, when you sent your spies to Syria and when you authorised for your men, thousands of miles away, to push a button to kill our brothers who lived in the West.
'So today, we’re going to kill your spies the same way they helped you kill our brothers.'
As he placed a hand on the young boy's head, he added: 'So prepare your army and gather your nations as we too are preparing our army.
Young Dare was brainwashed by ISIS fanatics after his mother, 24, who had links to Lee Rigby's killer, brought him to the warzone.
His grandfather, Henry Dare, 59, said Isa made a desperate plea for help during a heartbreaking phone call just days before he featured in the barbaric stunt, saying: 'Please save me.'
It later emerged that Isa's father had made a desperate attempt to rescue his son after his estranged wife fled to Syria and married an ISIS militant.
Asked if he thought his grandson had any idea what he was saying in the video, Mr Dare – of Deptford, south east London – said: 'No – he's a kid.

'He's a minor, he's under five. He's acting under the influence of ISIS guerrillas. He's too young. He's propaganda. They are just using a small boy. They are using him as a shield.'
Mr Dare said he had reported Grace to the police on three occasions before she left for Syria and told them 'she's behaving in a very funny way'.
Grace Dare is believed to have been radicalised online, then began attending the Lewisham Islamic Centre, where Fusilier Rigby's murderers Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale are reported to have worshipped.
The mosque has denied they were part of the congregation. Her mother Victoria said she changed her first name to Khadija after she began attending the mosque.
'I still call her our Grace,' said the mother. 'I want her back in my life. She is the only child that I have and the devil took her away.'

Dare, born in London in 1991 of Nigerian descent, went to Syria in around 2012 and married a Swede known as Abu Bakr. He is now dead.
She used social media to gloat about the beheading of American journalist James Foley and said she wanted to be the first British woman to kill an ISIS hostage.

Her mother, also from Lewisham, said of her daughter in a BBC TV documentary last April: 'She loved church. She had a Bible, she read the Bible.
'She would sit and pray and pray and pray.'
Downing Street said the release of the video on Sunday showed the terrorist group was 'under pressure'.
The footage shows five men in orange jumpsuits 'confessing' to taking money in return for filming and photographing sites within Raqqa, the capital of ISIS's self-declared caliphate.

Isa Dare (pictured), the four year old British boy dubbed 'Jihadi Junior', has been filmed detonating the bomb which kills four ISIS prisoners in the group's latest execution video

A member of a Raqqa-based group which opposes ISIS told the Radio 4 Today programme that the victims included shopkeepers and businessmen from the town.
The Prime Minister's official spokesman said of the video that 'it reflects the barbarity of this organisation but it is also a propaganda tool.
This is a terrorist group we are seeing put under pressure.'
More than 30 UK children have already been made the subject of family court orders over radicalisation fears, Scotland Yard has revealed.
Judges have considered cases involving 12 different families.
Last year, Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley, the country's most senior terrorism officer, said some children were 'almost babes in arms', with ages ranging from two or three up to 16 or 17.

In ISIS's last barbaric propaganda video, Dare (pictured) pointed to the men in the car and said 'we will kill kuffar [non believers] over there'

Politics / "Nigerian Army Needs N526 Billion" - COAS, Tukur Buratai by IlajeGal1: 6:37am On Feb 11, 2016
The Chief of Army Staff(COAS), Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, has said the Nigerian Army needs N520billion for a remarkable transformation. Buratai made this disclosure yesterday as he defended the Army's budget before the House Committee on Army.In his remarks, Buratai said: “The ministry of defence went below what we actually need minimally. This honourable House should assist to ensure that what we proposed is given to us. The significant drop is not from us but the Budget Office, but we will appreciate your efforts to make it up so that we can function well. If we can get N526 billion today, Nigerian Army will not be the same again. We will make sure that our barracks are rehabilitated and troops and their families taken care of.”

Buratai also told the committee that the Army had deployed equipment to the North East where there is insurgency and the Niger Delta where there is renewed attacks on oil pipelines. He further said:“The controversies over the purchase of arms and ammunition or alleged purchase of inferior or substandard arms call for an urgent review of our processes. Indeed as several scholars, leaders and generals have repeatedly affirmed, war is too important to be left in the hands of generals. The world has moved on and in most democratic countries, representatives of the people, the parliament is involved in the details of implementation of budgets and procurement processes.”

Politics / "Wike Met 4 Supreme Court Judges Before Rivers Election Verdict"– D. Peterside by IlajeGal1: 8:07am On Feb 10, 2016
The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2015 elections in Rivers State, Dr. Dakuku Adol Peterside has alleged that Governor Nyesom Wike met justices of the Supreme Court in Imo State, Dubai and Saudi Arabia, before the January 27, 2016 judgement that upheld his election.

Peterside, who made the allegation while addressing a press conference in Port Harcourt yesterday, said it is obvious that the decision of the Supreme Court on the governorship election in the state was not a product of justice, but a product of compromise orchestrated to legalize electoral violence.

He said: “Credible information confirmed that Nyesom Wike had earlier confessed to some persons of having met one of the Justices of the Supreme Court in Mbaise during an important burial, another at Owerri, in a hotel and yet others in Dubai and Saudi Arabia respectively. These Justices were in the panel that decided the matter in Wike’s favour.

“However, the most striking revelation by Nyesom Wike is contained in his account at the thanksgiving service last Sunday (February 7). He obviously stunned his audience and the watching world when he confessed that when it came to judges, Dr. Peter Odili and his wife, Justice Mary Odili (a Justice of the Supreme Court) were his advisers.

“This simply confirmed his earlier statements that he had contact with the justices after several attempts to reach the Chief Justice of the country failed. It is therefore obvious that the decision of the Supreme Court on the Rivers State election was not a product of justice but rather a product of compromise and orchestrated contrivance to legalize electoral violence and rigging and, in turn, reward injustice. This calls for serious introspection by our judiciary and judicial officers.”

The APC governorship candidate also warned Wike against casting aspersions on the person of President Muhammadu Buhari, and the Nigerian military over the forthcoming March 19, 2016 rerun elections for the National Assembly and State House of Assembly seats in the state, as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

“Let me draw the attention of Nyesom Wike to the fact that it is most callous of him to demonstrate such level of denigration on the gallant officers and men of the Nigerian military, who are putting their lives at risk every other day to safeguard the Nigeria state and citizens.

I Never Insulted Buhari – Gov Wike

In a separate reaction, Governor Wike has denied the allegation that he insulted President Muhammadu Buhari,as alleged by Peterside.

The governor also said he never referred to the Nigerian military as Boko Haram soldiers, saying he merely alluded to the fact that the soldiers will not allow themselves to be brought to assist the APC rig the forthcoming rerun elections in the state.

Wike, who spoke through the commissioner for information and communications, Dr. Austin Tam-George, also denied the allegation that he is against the anti corruption drive of the Buhari-led administration.

“Governor Wike has never Insulted President Buhari and fully supports the fight against corruption. Governor Wike has never insulted the person or office of Mr. President. Nigerians know how much former Governor Amaechi and his co-travellers poured abuses and invectives on former President Goodluck Jonathan without any words of caution by the leadership of APC.

“It must be observed that Governor Wike’s commitment to the fight against corruption is total, complete and unequivocal. It is on record that upon assumption of office he instituted a commission of inquiry with judicial approval. That commission’s report has been given approval in a government white paper. One of those indicted is Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, former governor of Rivers State.

He said the governor merely condemned a fight against corruption that abrogates the rule of law, which he said is one sided and is obviously targeted at political opponents.

‘‘These are concerns that all Nigerians are freely expressing. Why pick on Governor Wike? The Governor never referred to our gallant soldiers who lay their lives on the line everyday as “Boko Haram”. He merely alluded to the fact that even if the soldiers hardened and experienced by their fight against Boko Haram are brought to assist APC rig elections in Rivers State as the APC is boasting that they would, they still would not be able to defeat the will and resilience of the Rivers and Niger Delta People.”

He said it was sad that Peterside and the APC had not yet fully recovered from the verdict of the Supreme Court on the election in the state, hence their strange attempt to taint the judiciary’s reputation.

Dont Drag Odili’s Name In The Mud, Group Tells Peterside.Meanwhile, a group named South-south Pen Pushers has called on the Rivers State chapter of the APC and Peterside to desist from dragging in the mud, the name of Justice Mary Odili into the Supreme Court judgment which validated the election of Wike as the duly elected governor.

A terse statement signed by director of media of the group, Ambrose Inusa Sule said the APC governorship candidate who he described as ‘a frustrated and prostate loser has become a prodigal son of the South-south who because of his ambition was ready to give his paternity and that of the River people away for a mesh of pottage.’

“First, Dakuku Peterside should feel redeemed by the fact that Governor Nyesom Wike has ‘adopted’ him as a son given his capitulation on the altar of justice. For him (Peterside) to drag the Hon Justice Mary Odili and the Supreme Court as an institution into his woeful lamentation is to say the least appalling, crass and dangerous to the sanctity of the judicial system in Nigeria. For him to regurgitate second hand information as statements of fact is sad’’
