A young man on Thursday pleaded guilty to stealing his female employer’s panties and selling them to an elderly man.

The young man and his accomplice were arraigned at the Kithimani Law Courts in Kenya.

Whereas the younger suspect, Boniface Mwania Michael, pleaded guilty to the offence, the elderly man, Nicholas Nguli Kithale, denied the allegations.

Kithimani Senior Resident Magistrate Gilbert Sikwe heard that on different dates, Mwania, a houseboy, stole six underwear belonging to his employer, Rose Mueni Kimonye, from her residence in Kwakitema Village in Yatta, Machakos County and sold them to Nguli.

The court was told that Mwania stole the panties from Mueni’s bathroom every time she would leave them there after taking a shower.

Also stolen, were a T-shirt, Mueni’s blouse and boxer belonging to Mueni’s husband, all valued at Ksh2,000.

Mwania was selling the intimate clothes to Nguli, who allegedly used them for witchcraft purposes.

Nguli was found in possession of other underwear belonging to one Joyce Nzisa.

Nguli, who pleaded not guilty to the charges pressed against him, was freed on a Ksh2,000 cash bail. He will appear before the magistrate on September 15, 2020.

Mwania, on the other hand, admitted guilt, and will be sentenced on Monday, August 24, 2020.

Biden promised to create 5 million clean energy jobs, expand train lines while making universities more affordable.

Namibians Health Minister Kalumbi Shangula has warned people against using elephant dung to “cure” Covid-19.

Some traditional healers say the elephant dung can be steamed and inhaled as a treatment for flu, headaches and nosebleeds but the practice has not been scientifically tested.

“I am worried about unscrupulous people who would make other people spend money on useless remedies in the hope that they will be cured,” Mr Shangula is quoted as saying by AFP news agency.

The southern African country has to date confirmed 4,464 coronavirus cases and 37 deaths.

Kim Jong-Un, the Supreme Leader of North Korea, has ordered that pet dogs in Pyongyang be rounded up – and owners are fearful that their beloved pets are being used to solve the nation’s food shortages.

This comes after he announced in July that owning a pet is now against the law and declared that pet dogs are a symbol of capitalist “decadence”.

“Authorities have identified households with pet dogs and are forcing them to give them up or forcefully confiscating them and putting them down”, a source told South Korea’s Chosun Ilbo newspaper.

“Some of the dogs are sent to state-run zoos or sold to dog meat restaurants,” the source added.

Korea’s Chosun Ilbo newspaper reported that pet owners are “cursing Kim Jong-un behind his back” but there is little they can do since refusal to comply attracts grave consequences.

A recent UN report stated that as many as 60 percent of North Korea’s 25.5 million people are facing “widespread food shortages” that have been worsened by international sanctions imposed on the regime for its nuclear missile programmes.

Dog meat has long been considered a delicacy on the Korean Peninsula, although the tradition of eating dogs is gradually fading out in South Korea.

Still, an estimated 1 million dogs are reared on farms to be consumed every year in South Korea.

A married woman has recently been arrested after she was caught at a lodge with an eighteen year old boy.

According to new aired by a local radio station, the form three year boy who was having a relationship with the woman is said to have left his home saying he was visiting his grandmother who stays at a far place from where he stays with his family.

Upon the discovery that he had reached at his grandma’s house, the mother of the boy reported the news to police hence a search was set to look for the boy’s whereabouts.

A witness who saw the woman and the boy at a certain lodge tipped the community of where the two were hiding.

They were busted by the woman’s husband together with the police who took them both to in custody police.

Kevin and Rebecca Thredgold lashed out at reporters outside the South Australian District Court in Adelaide on Monday.

Police in 2017 found 16 videos of the two performing sex acts on their dog on three separate occasions under a file on their computer titled: ‘Do not view – delete if we die’.

The pair left the court room separately, with Ms Thredgold yelling ‘you’re ruining my life’ at the media pack on her exit, while Mr Thredgold swore at reporters.

Both copped a four-month prison sentence for their bestiality charges, which was wholly suspended on a two-year $2,000 good behaviour bond.

They must also complete 300 hours of community service within the next 18 months.

NCA NewsWire reported judge Simon Stretton labelled their actions with their pet ‘gross and inappropriate conduct’.

‘Each of you had an active sex life and would explore new and different sexual behaviour with each other,’ he said.


‘Each of you say that you undertook the activity primarily because you thought that the other was interested in doing so.’

Judge Stretton said police who viewed the couple’s footage noted the pet dog, who has since died, was not harmed in the making of their videos.

The couple lived together in South Australia for several years but have since separated.


Ms Thedgold’s lawyer James Marcus previously told the court the mother of six was ‘disgusted with herself’ over her behaviour.

A 43-year-old man is demanding back his lobola after discovering that his 40 year old wife has been sleeping with a pastor “before and after each Sunday service”.

The man, identified as Lucas Jobe, says his wife would go to church early in order to sleep with the pastor before each service.

She would then stay behind for another “round of special prayers”.

The affair, reports the Daily Sun, has remained a secret for over eight months. It only became public after another member of the church decided to snitch.

Jobe who hails from Gauteng in South Africa says he could not believe his ears when story of the affair between his wife and a pastor at his church was laid naked before him.

“I didn’t believe the story. I confronted my wife and she denied it at first, but she confessed after a long argument” Jobe told Daily Sun.

Lucas wondered how the pastor could preach knowing what he had done.

An evil teenager has been jailed for life after the “entirely random” murder of a teaching assistant – before burying her in a shallow grave.

Rocky Marciano Price, 17, targeted mum-of-two Lindsay Birbeck as she went for a walk in woodland before killing her and hiding the body in a wheelie bin.

He stuffed her body in a wheelie bin and hid her at the back of a cemetery – before her body was found 12 days later wrapped in plastic bags.

On Wednesday, Price, from Accrington, was found guilty at Preston Crown Court of her murder, exactly a year on from when she disappeared.

As he was ordered to serve a minimum of 16 years behind bars, Linday’s heartbroken daughter slammed the killer for his ” unforgivable” actions and said “all our lives are completely ruined”.

She said: “My mum was a higher level teaching assistant and the irony is she would have taught boys like the defendant and would have tried her best to help him.

“To know now that he murdered her for absolutely no reason is heartbreaking and has not sunk in yet. Not within me or other members of my family.

“The fact that he has made us come to court and listen to every graphic detail of my mum’s murder when he could have saved us this pain by pleading guilty is unforgivable.

“All our lives are completely ruined and I don’t see how we will ever recover as a family as the void that has been left will never be filled.”

Mrs Birbeck left her home in Burnley Road, Accrington, for a late afternoon walk to a nearby wooded area known as the Coppice.

She had invited her daughter, Sarah, 17, and her boyfriend for tea at 6pm, but when she did not return as planned her family raised the alarm.

The killer – who was named yesterday after reporting restrictions were lifted at Preston Crown Court – was taken to the police station by his parents Creddy, 47, and Martina, 39, after his “shocked” teachers recognised him in CCTV released by cops.

In a shocking incident, a man allegedly murdered his 40-year-old son after an argument over a property dispute.

The incident took place at Satyanagar area under the territorial jurisdiction of under the Pendurthi police station in Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

On Wednesday, a heated argument broke out between Veeraraju and his son Jalaraju over a property dispute, following which the former allegedly killed the latter by repeatedly hitting him with a hammer. The chilling murder was captured on a CCTV camera.

In the video, the accused can be seen attacking his son from behind while he was busy with some work. He continued brutally assaulting him even after he fell on the ground.

The victim died on the spot. After the incident, the accused walked to the local police station and surrendered.

An offence of murder under IPC Section 302 had been registered against him and he has been sent to judicial remand.

In another incident, a 28-year-old man allegedly bludgeoned his 65-year-old father to death for disturbing his peaceful slumber with his snoring.

The incident happened at Sondha village in Uttar Pradesh’s Pilibhit district. The victim’s elder son lodged a police complaint, following which the accused was arrested and booked for murder.

Police said that the accused used to often assault his father for his snoring habit. He allegedly hit him on the head with a club after he started snoring on Tuesday night, causing his death.

An artisan, Abdullateef Babatunde, on Thursday told an Ile-Tuntun Customary Court in Ibadan to dissolve his marriage of eight years to estranged wife, Omotayo because she forced an illegitimate child on him.

Abdullateef’s claim was contained in his counter argument before Chief Henry Agbaje, the court’s President after his wife had complained that her husband was a wicked man.

“Omotayo continuously engaged in adulterous acts and I have caught her on many occasions.

“I reported her to her parents who assured me that they had spoken to her.

“Rather than change for the better, Omotayo’s prostitution worsened and I had to abandon her for a while, believing that she might turn a new leaf.

“She has a son with one of her lovers. I caught her with a man in her shop.

“Her lover got her pregnant twice. My wife is disobedient and lazy,” he said

In her earlier account, Omotayo, a food vendour stated that her husband doesn’t have sincere love for her.

“On three separate occasions, Abdullateef gave me money to get rid of my pregnancy, claiming he was not ready for kids.


“When I eventually had a child with him, he abandoned us for two and a half years, only to resurface to plead with me.

“Again, he started complaining about the fact that I was selling food stuff in the night,” Omotayo said .

After parents of the couple gave their consents to the divorce, Agbaje dissolved the union in the interest of peace.

He granted custody of the only child to the petitioner and ordered the defendant to pay N5,000 as the child’s monthly feeding allowance.

A Kenyan woman has been fined for insulting her lover’s wife and provoking her to a fight while drunk.

In default, Saida Mohamed Amin, the convict, will spend six months in prison if she fails to pay 50 thousand Kenyan Shillings.

Senior resident magistrate Charles Mwaniki of Kibera law courts handed the sentence to her after she pleaded guilty to charges of offensive conduct.

She admitted that she visited where the complaints resides on Sunday while drinking alcohol from glass and used abusive words on her.

Saida told Salima that they are co-wives and hurled insults at her but in courts, said she was not in her right senses at the time.

She pleaded for leniency claiming that she is jobless and a single mother of two.

The convict claimed she has a debt with her landlord as she has not paid rent for months and pleaded to be forgiven.

She was given 14 days to appeal the sentence.

The Head of the Catholic Church, and sovereign of the Vatican City State, Pope Francis has confirmed reports that a particular African Diocesan Priest has impregnated at least 30 nuns.

According to Pope Francis, he revealed that the priests and bishops in the Catholic Church had sexually abused nuns and that some priests have been suspended on several occasions.

Specifically, several examples came from Africa, where priests were said to have turned to nuns for sex during the spread of AIDS.

Nuns around the world have suffered sexual abuse by priests, sometimes resulting in pregnancy and abortion, but church leaders have “failed to discipline” the clerics involved, the New York Times reports.

According to five reports written by senior members of women’s religious orders and a priest, cases of sexual abuse against nuns have been reported in at least 23 countries.

The Vatican yesterday “acknowledged” the reports, but added that the incidents of sexual abuse are “restricted to a certain geographic area,” without clarification.

Vatican spokesperson Joaquin Navarro-Valls said, “Work is being done both on the training of people and the resolution of individual cases.”

He added, however, that “[s]ome negative cases cannot let us forget the often heroic faith expressed by the large majority of those men and women in religious orders and of the clergy.”

According to reports, the boys were caught trying to escape after stealing a woman’s phone at Komarock Estate, Nairobi, Kenya, on Saturday, August 8.

They were allegedly nabbed by bike riders who then beat and stripped them before burning them alive, using parts from a motorcycle to feed the fire.

They removed part of the motorcycle, bought petrol and used it to end the lives of the two young boys,” a shop keeper in the area said.

Buruburu police boss Adamson Bungei condemned the mob attack while also advising youths to desist from crime.

It is time the youth stop involving in crime since the fruits are so bitter. But members of the public should also not take action into their own hands,” he said.

Condemning the barbaric attack after it went viral, Femi Fani-Kayode wrote:

How can a nation, a continent and a people that indulge in this type of wickedness ever escape God’s wrath? You burn two children alive simply because they stole a mobile phone? US President Donald Trump was briefly evacuated from a press briefing at the White House due to a shooting incident outside on Monday.

Trump said that he was taken to the Oval Office following the interruption, and that the Secret Service had shot someone outside of the White House. The suspect, he said, was taken to a hospital.

“There was a shooting outside of the White House and it seems to be very well under control,” he said. “I don’t know the condition of the person, but it seems that the person was shot by Secret Service, so we’ll see what happens.”

Trump added that US agents would release a full report shortly, but praised the “very powerful” new fencing surrounding the White House.

The person was transferred to a local hospital, and the District of Columbia fire department said the man suffered serious or possibly critical injuries.


The shooting took place near 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue just blocks from the White House, two sources with knowledge of the situation who were not authorized to speak publicly about it told the Associated Press.

Law enforcement officials were still trying to determine the suspect’s motive.

Authorities were investigating whether the suspect has a history of mental illness.

Albert Ndreu spent two weeks meticulously planning his perfect proposal after buying a ring for Valerija Madevic.

The 26-year-old had decided to surprise his sweetheart by filling their living room with over candles and around 100 tealights and roughly 60 balloons.

Some of the lights he used to spell out ‘Marry Me?’ on the floor.


Albert then went out to pick up his love to bring her home for the surprise but after he left the flat caught fire.

Three fire crews rushed to the scene at roughly 8.30pm after Valerija saw clouds of dark smoke emanating from their flat’s door in Sheffield, Yorks.

But Albert was undeterred and got down on one knee in the charred room and asked the love of his life if she would marry him.


With sirens wailing in the distance and their flat engulfed in flames, the love struck girlfriend said the all-important ‘yes’.

The flat saw the studio flat gutted by flames or smoke damage.


Albert said: “I was planning the proposal for over two weeks, I kept struggling to find the right thing to do to mark the special moment.

“I wanted to do something from my heart even if it didn’t go exactly as planned.

“Valerija always says the most important thing is the small gestures every day but I wanted to do something special for the proposal.


“I bought the most important thing, which was the ring, and I just needed to make sure the day was perfect.

“It didn’t go exactly as I thought it would but she said yes, so I think the day took an unexpected turn but ended up exactly how I wanted it to.”

Albert spent over four hours preparing his romantic setting, two of which were spent blowing up the balloons and lighting up the candles.


The besotted waiter spelled out the words ‘Marry Me?’ with tea lights, had a bottle of Chianti waiting for them, and had a non-stop romance playlist playing on a speaker.

Of all the things that Albert worried could go wrong, he never expected to find his home left in ashes.

He said: “I put balloons and candles everywhere, I had to go all out.

“I wanted to say something like she was the light of my heart, but maybe that was too much light.

“I was so nervous, this was the first time I have ever proposed and I hope it will be the last.


“I was so worried about everything going wrong I never imagined I could set the house on fire.

“But it will always be an unforgettable day for us and a story which will be amazing to tell our children.”

Albert and Valerija have been together for just over a year after meeting on a dating website.

They’re not sure when it will be safe for them to return but said the most important thing was that they were together after the “most beautiful” day in their lives.

She said: “It’s such a beautiful day, the most beautiful day in my life.

“You can replace things in the house, but not our love for each other.

“In the end we’re in good health and we’re together, and that’s all that matters.”
