I checked other sites where the Millennium Questions were discussed and no mention of a solution. In fact from what I gathered, only one of the problems have been solved. Another fact is that, problems like this always pass a peer review session that takes years of making sure the algorithm always produce the correct result with different conditions.

The Okun Yoruba people in Kogi State have resolved to press for the re-adjustment of their political boundary at the National Conference which opens in Abuja on Monday to enable them join their kith and kin in the South-west geo-political zone.

They have also reaffirmed their Yoruba culture, values and territory which, according to them were congruent with the South-west "without any natural or ecological barrier."

So far its only nigerian websites with this news. A problem is not considered to be solved until it has been peer reviewed. A problem of this nature takes years to solve and years or months to confirm the solution. Its on the same league with the abc conjecture which Shinichi Mochizuki, a japanese number theorist, has spent 20 years providing a solution to, which was later posted on his webpage - proof of which is still undergoing peer review since 2012.

Although a nigerian once claimed to have solved Fermat's Last Problem, peer review showed errors in his methods; It was later agreed Andrew Wiles method cracked the problem. But having a relook at it, i guess the problem is so difficult it will take something non western or oriental, something of perhaps a different environment, to be able to solve this one. Remember Soyinka and Literature in English.

If Opeyemis method is cool, nigeria will suddenly appear on the maths map of the world. All we can do now is to see how the world responds.

The Oyo State government has offered special incentives to investors seeking Afro-allied opportunities in Nigeria.

Governor Abiola Ajimobi said this in his presentation at a breakout session during the 21st Nigerian Economic Summit in Abuja.

He said the state offered substantial discount to investors wishing to invest in agriculture, while such lands are acquired with relative ease.

The governor said: “The major advantage Oyo State has over other states today is its size. We are leveraging on our size and vast landmass to grow our economy. There are many industrial giants in Oyo State today who were attracted to the state by our business incentives.

“Oyo State is five times the size of some states. With such size and landmass, as well as the goodwill of the government, there is no business that will not thrive in Oyo State.

“We are also creating a logistic centre, which will have an industrial park, storage and other facilities. We are doing everything possible to ease logistics in and around the state.”

As part of its regional integration agenda, the governor said Oyo State was partnering Lagos State on reforms that would significantly enhance its internally revenue generation.

I support this full-heartedly, as long as the lands are ONLY sold to indigenes and not migrants/foreigners.
