Ok having read Alhaji's postulating on Igbo Fanaticism, I have a few questions,
1) can the 1999 call for Sharia rule by northern states be said to be Fanaticism?
2) can the use of under aged voters in order to elect "one of their own" be said to be Fanaticism?
3) can agitation by people who feel slighted by such injustice as listed above be called Fanaticism?

We were all here when they trooped to stadiums all over the north immediately Nigeria got free from Military rule, demanding Sharia Law over the constitution.
Now that Easterners are agitating you call them fanatics. Thus is the problem with this country.

I have not heard any sensible and responsible Igbo man making such accusations. It was just the ranting of some fanatics, who always want us to see ourselves in tribal and religious garbs. After all these years together, it is a shame that we are still unable to shed these identities and become Nigerians.
