Before this my tenant paid for the house, there was a complete door net in good condition. Therefore she has lived here for more than 5 years, during the course of those years, she renew the door net which later worn out. Now this year, she decided to park and rent a bigger room elsewhere. During her parking i wasn't at home, when i came back, i saw that she had remove the door net. I told her for removing the door net am going to deduct N5000 from the 8 month rent i need to refund to her. She starts ranting saying she spend N3000 to fix the door net, that i shouldn't deduct her money.

Oga, if you truly want us to advice you “rightly “ then hear this out and carry it out.
Since your tenant pays house rent, there are some maintenances the landlord will have to do by himself. This like painting the house, constructing gutter to prevent erosion and the said net to be conducive for the tenant e.t.c

So even if she left the net there, they would be a probability the net won’t be conducive for the next tenant and you’ll still end up fixing a new net there.

If you’re wise, DO NOT DEDUCT HER MONEY.

Obi Kubana, Kanayo O Kanayo, and others face six months in prison for misusing Naira note.

According to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), they breached the rule on ‘abusing naira notes.’

Obi Cubana dominated social media trends for nearly four days after hosting an elaborate funeral for his late mother Ezinne Iyiegbu over the weekend.

The funeral was honored by Kanayo O. Kanayo, Davido, Alex Ekubo, E-Money, Kcee, and other celebrities.

Akin Alabi, founder of Naira Bet and member of the House of Representatives, also participated in the event.

A video posted online shows Obi Cubana spraying people around him with naira banknotes.

The funeral was full of guests, and Kanayo O. kanayo and other celebrities also appeared in the video spraying Cubana naira banknotes.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has previously warned that it is ready to cooperate with the police and that the Ministry of Justice will charge anyone who sprays naira cash at the party.

According to the statement.

“If a celebrant is dancing and you spray him/her, you may go to jail from the party venue because the law enforcement agents will be there, waiting to arrest you.

“It is the duty of law enforcement agencies to catch offenders and take them to court. Our collaboration with the police will intensify as we move to implement the mobile court for offenders.”

Spraying naira and dancing on banknotes is an abuse of Nigerian currency and violates SECTION 21 of the 2007 CBN Act, which provides for six months' imprisonment.

The Act states:

(1) A person who tampers with a coin or note issued by the Bank is guilty of an offense and shall on notes and coins imprisonment for a term not less than six months or to a fine not less than N50,000 or to both such fine and imprisonment.

(2) A coin or note shall be deemed to have been tampered with if the coin or note has been impaired, diminished, or lightened otherwise than by fair wear and tear or has been defaced by stumping, engraving, mutilating, piercing, stapling, writing, tearing, soiling, squeezing or any other form of deliberate and willful abuse whether the coin or note has or has not been thereby diminished or lightened.

(3) For the avoidance of doubt, spraying of, dancing or matching on the Naira or any note issued by the Bank during social occasions or otherwise howsoever shall constitute abuse and defacing of the Naira or such note and shall be punishable under Sub-section (1) of this section.
