What fad means?
A fad, trend, or craze is any form of collective behavior that develops within a culture, a generation or social group in which a group of people enthusiastically follow an impulse for a finite period. Fads are objects or behaviors that achieve short-lived popularity but fade away.

Illicit, that's a nice comment. Thanks for stopping by. Talking about olosho, let's look at it this way. If someone walks up to you and says, "You, Illicit, were given birth by a retired Nigerian olosho," how will you react?
I will let it slide

Nairaland General › If your Genotype is AA, Do you know you are very susceptible to Malaria? by illicit(op):
I didn't know my correct genotype until I was going for NYSC and had to do series of tests from a govt hospital ( EKSUTH)

I knew I always had occasional bouts of malaria spells while growing up which due to my ignorance I thought was some sort of plague.

Even when I knew I was AA I still couldn't establish the connection until I got to my PPA and was ill. The VP had to take me to a clinic. He being a biology teacher asked me on the way what my genotype was and I told him AA. He clicked his tongue and then he asked me if I have always had malaria occasionally, I said yes .

Then he told me to always try my best to avoid mosquito bites that my genotype (AA) and malaria parasites are unfriendly.

At the clinic, the same thing was said to me after the same questions and answers.

I had always thought that being AA means some sort of immunity but malaria happens to be the downside according to statistics
