Bro ow long did d authentication take, is it something i can do in one day? And its like u already booked appointment with the embassy before paying your scl fees? Nwayz pls reply my first question, m planning to go to abuja on d 6th for authentication, wanna know if its something i can do in one day.
yes, even less than a day. when you get to 8th floor of the secretariat ask of MOE's office for evaluation and authentication, inside the office you will see a post of A4 sized paper pasted inside of a transparent glass that has a skye bank info of where to pay the money for the number of result you which to authenticate. so you know the number of result you want to authenticate as each cost #300. so if it olevel, degree and transcript, thats #900. rush staright to the bank once you get the info make the payment and come back with your teller and wait for them to open their office cos they open up by 10am so by then you are already set for the whole change of teller to reciept and submission of documents. while others are busy waiting to be refered to the bank you are already done and submitted. i bet you if you submit before 11am your doc will be among the once to be sent in early for signing and by 2pm or so you are done. *ceteris paribus* all things being equal.

From what I've been reading, I'm not seeing anyone here with a december appointment.
rescheduling wouldnt be bad but i dont know how safe it is and how its done.

before i go on to answer this question,i just want to point out to you that if you had taken just 7mins to read pg129 and 130 you'd have seen the answer to your question. We are trying to make this thread progressive whereby answers are provided to novel questions only.

Ans: the names of those who have recieved confirmation letter has been sent to the embassy in Abuja and the consular should be in receipt of the names this week.
Mr.wip cannot and will not tell you whether on nl,email or otherwise if your name is on the list due to existing internal protocols except perharps in cases where the student applied through him.
You're adviced to contact the registrar to get the lowdown on the including of your name. Now my brother, contacting the registrar is another wahala as they never seem to reply.

Hope that answers your question!
wonderful!!! thats what am talking about.

zezebabyxoxo: How long does North Cyrus student visa take? Also, between EMU and METU, which is better?
it takes as long as you hasten up with your procession. and as for emu/metu comparism; this is what i found i hope this helps.

Travel / Re: North Cyprus by ahamdiheme(m): 3:01am On Jan 09
I want to make something very clear here. emu is the best university in North Cyprus!! That is a 100% correct statement.
Everything that the school claims to be is true, all the affiliations with other schools (UK, US, etc) are real! Two simple examples:

1. While I was doing my MSc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, just before the Warwick partnership started, a representative from Warwick came to give a talk about ongoing research in their university and he explicitly announced to us that they will soon have a "campus" in emu.

2. Post graduate students who take a course from project management have the chance to go to Canada for a workshop, this is part of the coursework, MSc students in Architecture go to Istanbul as part of their coursework as well.

There are bad people everywhere so saying that emu has bad eggs is not enough reason for it to be a bad school. Yes emu is not Havard, Yale, Oxford or MIT but it is not Near East University (NEU) and certainly not Cyprus International University (CIU); you can't even compare the schools. emu is a world apart from all the other schools in North Cyprus and that includes metu in Güzelyurt.
For your information crossing to the south of Cyprus is not easy especially when you have been in the north as a Nigerian (with KKTC residency stamped on your passport) so if I were you, i will not even have that in mind.

So what if NEU is owned by a billionaire? He has a huge campus, but he has also employed academic staff that have no motivation or passion. emu on the other hand has an equally big and extremely (yes I said extremely) beautiful campus. Given that North Cyprus is only recognized by Turkey as a country, some schools abroad might be skeptical when it comes to transfers but NO emu student has had problems with moving to other countries. I have friends who have moved to the US, UK, Canada and Australia among others.

I can go on and on but the LCM of the issue is that emu way ahead of all other schools on the Island (including the south) but it is your choice, wip7 has not forced anyone to go to emu and even if he is making a percentage why should it bother you? As long as you get what you want which is admission why the hate?

DO NOT GO TO CYPRUS IF NOT FOR STUDY

penroll55:

I never wanted to comment cause most people said i am harsh....yes you all are right when u said others asked questions before coming here but try and check their questions if its same to the ones people asked now.

Let the truth be said,Nigerians especially want people to work for them and dont want to stress their self and they complain agents charge them much and so on. If only new incoming students will take their time and go through the trend i believe most of their questions would have been answered here.

I dont comment any longer just like wip do also cause if you go back maybe 3years you will see most people saying he is harsh and so on,just as most of you are saying worry and others are harsh or not giving room for others to ask.

Lets make an example, wip has answered questions relating to sponsor and visa issues and i myself have done so as well even whet as far to tell how to fill the visa application form but i see people are still asking that and more will still ask same questions cause they felt going through the trend is waste of time when they can ask others to do the work for them.

Well, just my opinion and wish all new incoming students try and read through the trend before asking questions.
which one is "NIGERIANS"? my friend grow up there. if you are not mentally lazy then i see no reason you should withold usefull tips from the top off your brains to render help to people. as an academia or wise below forty as you claim you should atleast refer people to the particular or specific pages to get answers for there question. else stay off the page totally and allow it loose front page on this forum.if thats what all of you want. for me i know where i get my replies from and the source has never failed me the person knows himself. i can stiil swear that most of you especially worry359 where more naive, undermatured, totally clueless from there left to there right about this whole process before now.
prospective students i advice lets keep this thread alive till we achieve our aim. never be demoralize or whatsoever. watever is confusing bring it on, willing people with invincible mental strenght will never relent to refer or offer help, that i know. "one individual helped; is a less of so many confused fellow on this thread. with time february wil come we will all let you rest and render help to intending students while already there. hope to see you all soon.

zezebabyxoxo: I would like to know which school is better between METU and EMU for economics and also their general reputation. Also, if I am given a full scholarship, how much would I need to show in my sponsor's account. Can your sponsor be a family member or it has to be a parent?
from my little experience sponsor can be any body so far the account has quantity and quality cashflows and at least a reasonable balance. for METU and EMU comparism there are better specialists in the thread that can help out.

You MUST grow up and stop begging Mr wip7!!!!
You have just been repeating yourself many times.
Mr wip has said MANY MANY times that he does NOT reply to trivial questions.
Stop pleading like little child.
Read through this thread, your answer will be here.

Or post question here so others may direct you.
if he knew he wont be begging... "he that asks a lot of questions, destines himself never to be flawed in life" most times if i go through most of the old pages and read through i always laugh to see how most of you over there right now asked question like babies, even how to survive and all that, but now it now a TABOO for other novice to act same. pls lets be mild with replies and help out on relevant and urgent issues when it matters if YOU can if not just pretend you didnt see it and allow others help out not totally blanking ones request as rubbish. DUDE IT KILLS PSYCHOLOGICALLY. dont judge whom you've never met. canada/aussie/USA even dubai name it, threads operates like family and many have gotten help thru the same means. if you feel too bigger or over matured or qualified than this "social, informal, friendly or interacting" thread then give others that wanna find things out some space. plsssssss.

am a second class upper graduate that work on contract basis with one firm. but i still believed in my great talent which is soccer playing and i use my leisure time to work hard on the pitch and master some tricks during playing the game as God may have it i will be leaving the country feb next year to sign into a club thru an agent that picked interest in me during my determination and will also continue my masters over there and also do one or two professional courses abroad to cum-develop my cognitive, affective and psychomotor domain as an individual. thanks to my God. winners are SLEEPERS that never stopped dreaming. talent pays more than lazying around in the office. tell me which successful banker earns more than an upcoming athlete, musician, or other lucrative handiworks. you can just be OK but not to your satisfaction. Gsluv: Pls guys in North Cyprus, is it cheaper getting a smart phone (phablet) over there or I should just buy from Nigeria before leaving? Would appreciate a reply..
what do you expect them to tell you? get it here or dont worry when you get to TRNC you buy. well from my little experience as a result to exposure has taught me that when ever you travel outta your place of comfort most especially where you earn to where you almost entirely spend everytime without returning any kobo through any means, the said individual tends to feel and see everything he spends on as been very expensive. so, of course you know every penny will be of great value to you as you will in turn develop less interest in your needed but unnecessary items no matter how stern you budget for it before getting to that place. cos you will be so minded with the first things first which i know their are. for i know those over there buy their stuffs at TRNC cos they are used to the system or better still the ones doing fine dont even care or still do the currency conversion at every stuff they spend their money on. so my advice is get your things while you are still at your place of comfort.

Gsluv: Pls Anyone going in for masters in EMU for Feb session and is also interested in accommodation. I'm going in for Feb and I need focused guys I can pair with to get accommodation off campus. Pls mail me jayksvent@gmail.com
have u gotten ur visa? if no then i advice you keep calm. if yes then u need to very much define what u mean by FOCUS. we have so many dudes that are more focused than u but can still land u into trouble. most of every dudes who journeys abroad tends to have various aims for going; some can be focused schooling aiming at good grades, some can be general hustliing aiming at greener pasture, some can be the platform aiming at discovering their GOD given most cherished talent, while other are dead conscienced aiming at shady deals to get overnight wealth, some can just be looking for permanent stay weather rich or not cos 9JA DON TIRE DEM. so it will be safe for u and for us too if u define what's your prerequisite for terming one focused. for the whole purpose be achieved at the end. mind you ask for a brother dont ask for guys, with strong brotherhood on this kinda journey coupled with GOD, i am skeptical if ur desire wont come to fruition. am a prospective EMU peep too but still getting tins done underground.

dont be scared.... even if u r given one month visa, dont worry once u arrive over there look for a schoolor langugae learning center n hurrily apply for a 6 months course to study their language, then leave the rest for the school to process. once u pay ur fees complete they will further ur visa extension for u. i believ ur pregnant girlfriend can help u find a school quickly over there.

haba!!!!! in this computerized post millenium era!!!! the copy or format he sent to you is soft copy or file which am sure is via email or in ur inbox. downloading it doesnt mean exhausting or desstroying the file. u can download and print a million times if u so want it will still be in ur box unless u deleted it from ur box after downlaod. and mind u most phones dont support files that are too large for its memory or the hasnt the required software necessary for downloads eg pdf or microsoft properties/software, but am so sure since it has to do with downloads and official requirements as such it will surely need a pdf platform to operate or download so i suggest u go to the cafe if u have no internet structure at home to download and print ur document. and stop fidgetting on this thread n let wip be when unneccessary. we need jiggilizing coments here not panics to ginger guys on board. thanks my opinion.
