If we're to go with your source, it means Tinubu lied when he claimed all states are paying salaries. If a state is still paying 30k salary, that's less than half salary. So what's all the noise that states are now paying salary.
But besides that, we all know that the market reacts to news not the real implementation. As far as the market is concerned, workers are earning minimum wage of 70k yet the inflation has been dropping at least according to NBS.

One, the current minimum wage personally affects very few people, less than 8% of the working population. i asked you to give the number of people that will get your proposed increased minimum wage, you dodged. What is the percentage and population of employed people? In that employed people, only 8% are formal according to Nigerian national bureau of statistics. A simple google search helps you confirm.

Inside this 8%, we have local government and state government workers that are not being paid the FG minimum wage. Not to mention private workforce and informal. i gave you the pulse link, showing you news report, you went to start looking for Oyo state with AI. SMH. Those are the figures you are quoting. What i told you is that only 8% of the employed figures are in the FORMAL sector. And that 8% reduces further when you see that not all of them get the touted FG minimum wage.
BTW, The ₦18,000 national minimum wage in Nigeria was signed into law in March 2011, but its implementation for certain public service cadres and state government tiers rolled over into January 2012. Go figure.

When govt increased minimum wage from 30k to 70k two years ago, there was no inflation because prices were already inflated due to the twin evils of naira devaluation and subsidy removal.
So claiming that any increase in minimum wage wil necessarily trigger inflation is a blatant lie. If that were the case, inflation would have spiked after the 2011 wage increase but inflation actually dropped in 2011 from 2010 figures.

Implementation is not automatic. Each state government must: Agree on the structure, Adjust salary scales, Secure funding. That’s where the delays begin.

As for reports, both the 2011 and the 2024 reports are similar. Inflation % figure reduced immediately after implementation, then started to increase in the months that followed.

If government likes, they increase minimum wage to 1million naira, your 500k workers you are crying about will not have their minimum salaries increased to the 1million naira. State governments will not comply. But the announcement alone will trigger inflation for everybody in Nigeria including the unborn and the dead. This is the simple fact.
