Even Ogun state is not sure until it happens. MoUs plenty, and so is mental laziness.
Ogun state is simply tapping into what is available and around them. Other states should also do their homework and follow through. The state has been instrumental in assembling the land and structuring the investment framework and thereby reducing risk for investors like DP world.
Ogun has therefore been improving roads and positioning the coastal corridor for the port.
The state's 28-km section of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway is particularly important because it will run relatively close to the coast and provide an evacuation/access corridor for the port.

Ogun is also developing the Ijebu-Ode Inland Dry Port. Again remind me what your state government is attempting apart from complaining and self pity politics.

Lagos inherited a major head start from colonialism. Apapa is Nigeria's oldest major port and is located beside the country's largest commercial centre. It has long-established road, rail, warehousing, shipping and financial infrastructure.
Cargo naturally followed the biggest market. Lagos became the country's principal commercial gateway, creating a self-reinforcing cycle: more cargo, more shipping lines and terminals, more private investment, better infrastructure, again still more cargo. Lagos receives substantial private sector investment in terminals such as Apapa and Tin Can.

Onne port developed mainly around the oil-and-gas industry and became an Oil & Gas Free Zone. It is therefore significant, but its cargo profile is different from Lagos's huge consumer-import market. Lagos population attracts. Dredging and navigational limitations have affected Calabar and other eastern ports, and poor inland connections and inadequate infrastructure.

The Southeast has no coastline. This is basic primary 4 knowledge. States such as Anambra, Enugu, Imo and Abia depend on ports outside the region. This makes efficient road/rail connections to ports particularly important, but they don't seem to care about planning or building one.

Obi keeps trying hard to sell himself as a better person. We need visionaries like Tinubu that can build institutions that outlast them. We saw him do it in Lagos with things like LASTMA and the state IGR model. We've seen him start re-engineering our tax system, electoral process, electricity, oil and gas and do on. Every free Nigerian has a choice and right to vote and support their candidate, it's part of democracy. Your rights, likes and preferences are not my problem. There are many people in Efcc, ndlea and police nets supporting all the candidates. Your candidates are friends with El Rufai and Malami for instance. They are both in Efcc net. Your candidates support the convicted prisoner in Sokoto.

As for poverty, millions of Nigerians have been poor for decades and are still poor. It doesn't disturb votes, results and voting pattern. These are facts that don't care about my emotions or yours. Your candidates are unelectable and in no way a threat or better option.
You'd notice they've been more involved in content creation, shooting themselves in the foot, and wasting millions on a wild goose chase, as against proper campaign. They are still struggling with presidential campaign committee. On the other hand, APC settled that weeks ago, but have been actively campaigning, gaining votes, and doing daily grassroots door to door work.
