Sometimes I find it difficult to understand why some Nigerian traders enjoy exploiting buyers of essential commodities in other to make outrageous gains.
In Benin City particularly, market unions or association meet regularly to agree to fix outrageous prices on goods, especially essential items like foodstuffs and building materials at their own selfish interest. This is clearly a display of impunity and man's inhumanity to man.
Let's call on the government and traditional rulers to please call these traders to order as a matter of urgency. A traditional ruler recently called market unions to order in his domain and that's highly commendable. Let other traditional rulers take a cue from that.
We must save the country from ourselves by changing our greedy orientation.
