Hello,
Kindly recommend a superb maternity (ante natal) hospital to me biko, i'm in my second trimester.

I live in Okoko, and the hospital i registered in (Elphy) doesnt put my mind at ease... the environment is too dirty, their equipment very unkempt. The ATS given to me, I felt the pain for as long as 4 days onward. it's my first preg, and I want to take necessary precautions.


Pls recommend nice maternity hospitals around ojo/Festac.

Goodness Hospital in shibiri or Ilogbo Central Hospital, Ilogbo... am currently using Ilogbo Central hospital and I can confidently say they are great. Clean environment, good customer service, their staffs are good too.

I was at the hospital yesterday. after complaining to the doctor, he prescribed a drug for me. I'm a lot better now. thanks for checking on me

.I experienced same during my time at 22 weeks too.I was told it's round ligament pain and it's a result of the uterus expanding.don't worry u will b fine.I was prescribed paracetamol only.

You need to have it checked at the hospital. Baby kicks at that stage doesn't come with cramps/pains please.

*Hanger/cloth drier - 5500
*Wardrobe - i didnt buy cos i have. But i asked the price and its varies ranging between 40k (big colourful wooden type) to 5k (plastic types with about 4 or 5 drawers). There are some other plastic type that are even expensive as much as 40k or 30k. They are really really beautiful and good quality.
*Stainless trolley - 5k
*Baby carrier - 7500 (there are even lesser prices like 4k and less depending on quality and more expensive ones too)
*Baby outing bag - 5k
*Flask - big one 3.2litres - 6k, smaller one for outing - about 3k..not very sure again..the price isnt even clear (Gint is good..my mum has it..she tested it for 4 days..i swear the water is still hot)..unfortunately there are now fake ones and another person might not be so lucky.
*Sterilizer - 6k (i bought an empty unit) cos i bought Avent feeding bottles and the other stuffs that usually comes with the sterilizer..all together in the avent package. The avent package unit..i cant remember the price and i'm finding it difficult to see what is written here..but it wasnt less than 5500 or 6000. Cos i remember haggling on that price and i cant remember if the seller agreed sef.
*baby bath set - ranges between 5
3.5k to 15k. Depending on quality and designs. But is it not to baff for your baby?

I think i should stop here..i can't possibly write everything (baby things are so many) just decided to state some of the things that the prices are not easily discernible.

Dont follow my prices ooo...cos you may even find them way way cheaper or more. Just a guide.

I actually just got back from island market like an hour ago. Chisos!!! Things are damn expensive!!! I spent more than 150k and I've not finished buying things o.. God will provide.. i will buy the rest later..just few things remaining.

As per the above..i feel the same way too. I cant walk for long , i feel that pressure so heavily like down my pelvis..its God that just saw me through today.. i was so tired and waddling in the market while feeling the pressure which got more intense...and i had my mum and younger sis helping me to haggle in the market too.

This is a new week, hope we are all taking our prenatal drugs, fruits and attending Antenatal regularly(I know some of us no dey go, oya start attending biko,it is important). If you have checked ur Lo sex, please indicate so I can update. I tried checking my Los sex today, The baby just sat with bum and even cross leg join but am hoping for a boy sha. You can check your Los sex from 16weeks i guess but it will be better if u wait till 20 weeks to also do anomaly scan.

I'm typing this from scan center!


Went for scan this morning, was told to come back for a repeat by 4pm. So I went back for the repeat scan only to be told that there's fetal node without cardiac activity!

I'm 12wks today but scan says 9wks....Was told it could be a missed abortion, that if that is the case I will have to flush it and start all over again since baby is not progressing! But I should come back in two weeks time to repeat a scan and see how it goes before final conclusion!

I BELIEVE THAT MY BABY IS DOING JUST FINE.....So I refused to be downcasted!

humm, hope We have all started antenatal and taking prenatal drugs religiously. Please ensure you check your rhesus factor when doing your blood work especially FTM, if it is negative, please see you doctor immediately. Those of us that Ms is gisting with, how are u all doing, don't worry 2nd trimester is almost here.

Me I have been on and off MS, in all I thank God, I can't wait for MAY at all. it will end in praise for us all
