On Friday 21st July 2017, the Chief of Army Staff, Nigerian Army, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai, directed the Theatre Commander, Operation LAFIYA DOLE, Major General Ibrahim Attahiru, to capture Abubakar Shekau, the so-called and self-styled leader of Boko Haram terrorist group, dead or alive.

PoliticsNGR learnt that the Theatre Commander was directed to do so within 40 days. He is to employ all arsenal at the disposal of the Theatre Command to smoke out Shekau wherever he is hiding in Nigeria.

According to a statement signed by the director of Army public relations, Gen. Sani Kukasheka, the general public was urged to also assist and volunteer information that would lead to the accomplishment of the task.

This development is coming a few weeks after the dreaded Boko Haram sect captured over 10 police women in Damboa, Borno state. The terror sect has released footage of the women with their leader, Shekau describing them as his 'slaves'.

Northern youths under the aegis of the Arewa Youth Forum (AYF) have accused politicians in the southwest of sponsoring a campaign of calumny against President Muhammadu Buhari in order to rob the north of its rightful slot to the Presidency.

National President of Arewa Youth Forum (AYF), Alhaji Gambo Ibrahim Gujungu said the north and especially the youths are aware of the plan of the southwest to push out Buhari “through a campaign of calumny, using his health as a yardstick,” Guardian writes.

He explained that the AYF has visited Buhari in London and confirmed the statement by the Acting President Yemi Osinbajo that Mr. President is recovering fast and will soon be back in the country.


Gujungu, in a chat with newsmen in Kaduna on Friday, said the Southwest was using the duo of Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Mr. Femi Fani Kayode to champion their cause, insisting that the north would resist any attempt to take over power from them now or in 2019.

The AYF president then challenged Fayose to produce his 11 pictures of the President indicating his deteriorating condition of health or refrain from making any further comments on the health of Buhari.

In his words:

“These Southwest people think that we don’t understand the politics they are playing, we do but we will shock them when the time comes.

“They are using Fayose and Fani-Kayode to pitch the rest of the country against the north and Mr. President in particular, we understand the game but we are waiting and watching.

“You know, I am the National President of AYF, the umbrella body of all youths in the north and many of you are aware of our efforts to stabilise the country, mostly against this recent call by some of our brothers to expel people of the south east.

“But some people want to show us that they understand the game of politics more than us. But they are in for a surprise.

“Let me reveal to you guys that after our recent meeting in Kaduna here, a delegation was sent to London. I led that delegation because we wanted to know the truth of the situation.

“We met with the President and he told us some things. All I can say now is our President would soon be back and people would witness drastic changes in the country.

“Many people will be surprised when he comes I can tell you that.”

I have stopped believing 2017 Npower. A message was sent to my brother that his information is not match with his bvn despite all what he entered is correct. The same happened to a lady I know but she later came across some politicians distributing Npower form and she was given a form to fill. Do u believe that within 7hours she received a text from Npower to login for an online test. This happened in Kwara state. Some politicians in Kwara are influencing Npower programme in presidency and am very disappointed. I wld not have posted this if I did not get the real fact. I was initially telling some people that told me this that it is not possible to influence this until it happens live and direct to someone I know.
