Just this morning I received a call from an Aunt saying her husband and his old friend were into a conversation and 'as talk dey bring talk', he said they were looking for an Electrical/Mechanical Engineer at a ---- company where he's the regional manager.

Aunt's husband immediately said he had someone but he was not sure if I'll be interested because of location and If I'll have reservations about the pay which isn't actually bad, don't know why they thought I won't be okay with the pay(hehe). Reason they called to confirm. Phew!

Ohboy... I screamed I'm fine with both conditions. I'm now a contented man, yaani... sent my CV to the Manager which he then confirmed he had forwarded to the HR or so and he dropped his number for follow up-- all happening on a Saturday.

Now, If it works Alhamdulilah(Praise God) and if it doesn't Masha Allah(As God has willed). But what I learnt from today is that what's meant for you will always reach you. And many at times it's comes from where you least expected.

The details I'm going to be sharing is for candidates selected based on merit - At least to keep hopes alive.
The numbers would definately be more than if added with the SH folks.

Which ever reason it is, it should be respected. Truth be told, DPR "stakeholders" started the selfish movement and I believe they have their reason which none of us here know what it could be but we have no choice than to respect it due to some "unwritten" rule that government recruitment tilts more to stakeholders than to the common man.

The list we shall eventually see but also have it in mind that most people truly want to know their fate so as to move on - either to a career with DPR or with their normal lives.

Nobody can paste a copy. It is even worse to see your name there and end up not been called because some names have been removed and some have been replaced. Someone wrote it here some time ago that names can be replaced and another replied him that its not possible because list has been signed by FCC! Can you now see nothing is impossible in this country!

I kept insisting that merit list cannot be 80 or 50%. Marvel was so sure it was. My contact who told me about the calls at the beginning told me merit list is not up to 30%. That it is not possible for the masses in any recruitment to get the larger share. That it has never happened in Nigeria. I also got confirmation that some so called people who started popping out on Monday that they got a call had gotten apl since but waited before posting so nobody will suspect anything. When i say some i meant two confirmed nairalanders. you know yourselves. But you don't owe anybody explanation because If I had someone. I'd do the same too.

Lastly its not over till the end. What is happening now,this tata or whatever his name is cannot be the sheep in a den of lions. Where he is today. Some people also helped him. He is loyal to so many people if not he can loose his job because of this recruitment even before his retirement. He has no choice but to play ball.
This is Nigeria!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I said it since last month that the recruitment was merit based. The sons and daughters of the common man will be favoured. Now everyone can see the reason Mr Tata sacrificed the 100 slots meant for this years fresh recruitment. He deserves some accolades. This is just the beginning, more will testify this week and beyond.

There were 297 GT and 103 EH on the list. The EH list was released today. They will be contacted to receive APLs this week and beyond. Ensure your contact digits are active and always be close to your mobile phone.

Please if you’ve not been contacted today, don’t panic and exercise patience. There is still hope.
