GChux1: Tomorrow, October 19th 2021, Google announces the release of the long-awaited Google Pixel 6/6 Pro smartphones and in an era where announcements from Samsung and Apple dominate the tech media, this time around, tomorrow’s Pixel reveal promises to gain enormous coverage owing to one major factor - the new custom Tensor chipset by Google. Thus, as a diehard fan of the Google Pixel line-ups all the way back in the days of the Nexus era and out of sheer enthusiasm, I got my hands on the Pixel 6 Pro way earlier than usual.
How did I get my hands on a Google Pixel 6 Pro back in September when it is yet to be officially released? This is a question I was asked by a ton of friends and some popular tech writers from the US to the UK and here in Nigeria. However, to protect my source, I kept that question mostly unanswered so that things don’t go south from any angle. But I’d say that as someone who is mostly active selling gadgets and Pixels in the Technology Market thread, it’s not hard to recognize that I am a huge Google Pixel fan and indeed, I couldn’t balk at the chance to use an early render of the Pixel 6 Pro. I got it towards the end of August in the US and it arrived Nigeria in September.
The unit with me happens to be a PVT unit - a finished product used to fine-tune the finishing touches of an operating system. It has a triple rear camera set-up housing a 50 megapixel primary camera, a 4x telephoto lens guaranteed to give you quality optical zoom, and an ultrawide capability. The front camera reminds you of Samsung’s Galaxy s21 hole-punch camera beautifully centered on the top. The one with me has 12gb ram and 256gb of storage. A dig into the device shows that it was installed with an early version of Android 12 (probably the 1st or 2nd beta), thus, like most of the bloggers and reviewers speculated about my device, it was indeed running an unfinished software.
The size being 6.7” on paper may seem too big for most people. Basically I prefer smaller phones the size of Pixel 3/4/5. But using this unit was beginning to settle in with me overtime even though my plan is to eventually go for the regular Pixel 6 for the love of the smaller size and ergonomics. But that plan looks like it might be modified because of one thing - a crispy buttery smooth 120hz refresh rate of the 6 Pro’s display. As a phone seller, I have coarsely played with the Galaxy s21 Ultra and the iPhone 13 Pro and their 120hz refresh rate didn’t seem like a big deal compared to the 90hz of the Pixel 4/5 I have been used to. But my oh my! There’s a pellucid difference playing with a phone for a few hours compared to actually using it. It appears I have grown to love the feel of the Pixel 6 pro such that I may ditch my consideration for the regular Pixel 6. Like I told some of my friends, I compared my Pixel 6 Pro that’s sporting an unfinished software to having a chance to frolic with Nicki Minaj — booty lovers can figure. Anyway, using the phone feels excitingly refreshing and it is a huge bump to the smoothness that we Pixel fans have been accustomed to.
I’d say it was quite elating seeing that the first public leak/reveal of the Pixel 6 Pro prior to release happened to be my unit in Nigeria. When a friend of mine first posted it online, it generated a lot of media attention that I never anticipated from sites like The Verge, 9to5Google, Tom’s Guide, Android Central, GSMArena, Android Police and several others including some well-known Youtube reviewers. I was in touch with some of them, answering questions and releasing a few information about the device, and it intriguingly wowed them that a mere enthusiast like me could lay his hand on a device highly anticipated and never seen as at then. I also got to find out that I may piss Google off for having my hands on one and leaking certain stuff out there. But I sorta think that the leaks brought more interest to the Pixel 6 line-up then than there ever was. So I think I deserve to be given some accolades by Uncle Google, you know lol. But I had to stay undercover nonetheless until now in this community. I ducked all temptations to correct some impressions or wrong speculations on the web and in comment sections while following several news regarding the Pixel 6,
For now, I eagerly await the reveal of the Pixel 6 line-up so I can update the OS to the finished version and then I’d probably share more of the wonders it can do. Folks have reached out to me inquiring whether it would be a worthy upgrade from the Pixel 5 or Pixel 4 or even the s21 Ultra and the iPhone 13 Pro. My answer is, to be as modest and less fanboyistic as possible, YES.
The unique looks, the new promising Tensor chipset and the obvious camera prowess of the phone are enough reasons to jumpship to the Pixel 6. The phone is currently with someone who will be flashing the finished software file on it once it gets hosted next week. By then, I’d answer questions about the new features exclusive to the Pixel 6, especially the new camera algorithms. You may want to visit this IG page @gogeekish to take a peek at some pictures taken with the phone's camera (even though this one's algorithms haven't been updated to the leaked new features like magic eraser and the likes) . Stay tuned on the Technology Market thread for Pixel 6 deals when they become available.
Google’s “Fuchsia” smartphone OS dumps Linux, has a wild new UI Taking a look at Google's mysterious third operating system.

The main section of Fuchsia shows a profile picture, and tapping on it will reveal some power controls. Above this section are recent apps, and below is a Google Now-style suggestion panel.
Google, never one to compete in a market with a single product, is apparently hard at work on a third operating system after Android and Chrome OS. This one is an open source, real-time OS called "Fuchsia." The OS first popped up in August last year, but back then it was just a command line. Now the mysterious project has a crazy new UI we can look at, so let's dive in.
Unlike Android and Chrome OS, Fuchsia is not based on Linux—it uses a new, Google-developed microkernel called "Magenta." With Fuchsia, Google would not only be dumping the Linux kernel, but also the GPL: the OS is licensed under a mix of BSD 3 clause, MIT, and Apache 2.0. Dumping Linux might come as a bit of a shock, but the Android ecosystem seems to have no desire to keep up with upstream Linux releases. Even the Google Pixel is still stuck on Linux Kernel 3.18, which was first released at the end of 2014.

Google's documentation describes Magenta as targeting "modern phones and modern personal computers with fast processors, non-trivial amounts of RAM with arbitrary peripherals doing open-ended computation." Google hasn't made any public, official comments on why Fuchsia exists or what it is for, leaving us only to speculate. The "modern phone" shout out certainly sounds like something that could eventually compete with Android, but for now the OS is so early, it's hard to tell.
Fuchsia is impossible to talk about without mentioning a hundred other related projects that also have code names. The interface and apps are written using Google's Flutter SDK, a project that actually produces cross-platform code that runs on Android and iOS. Flutter apps are written in Dart, Google's reboot of JavaScript which, on mobile, has a focus on high-performance, 120fps apps. It also has a Vulkan-based graphics renderer called "Escher" that lists "Volumetric soft shadows" as one of its features, which seems custom-built to run Google's shadow-heavy "Material Design" interface guidelines.
Armadillo, the Fuchsia System UI
This all leads us to an interesting point right now: the Fuchsia interface is written with the Flutter SDK, which is cross-platform. This means that, right now, you can grab chunks of Fuchsia and run it on an Android device. Fuchsia first went public in August 2016, and but back then compiling it would get you nothing more than a command line. Thanks to Hotfixit.net for pointing out that the Fuchsia System UI, called "Armadillo" is actually pretty interesting now.
It's possible to download the source and compile Fuchsia's System UI into an Android APK and install it on an Android device. It consists of a wild reimagining of a home screen along with a keyboard, a home button, and (kind of) a window manager. Nothing really "works"—it's all a bunch of placeholder interfaces that don't do anything. There's also a great readme in the Fuchsia source that describes what the heck is going on.

RoyalSleek: Please can I get the contact that replied you. I've completed my registration (got callup number & I've printed my green card). BUT DURING REGISTRATION, THE FINGERPRINTS PAGE DID NOT APPEAR. I'M SERIOUSLY SCARED. I DON'T KNOW IF ONE CAN ACCESS THE FINGERPRINTS PAGE ONCE REGISTRATION IS DONE.
VICKYE: Guys, I have a problem. I did not see where to choose STATE of choice oh.
After filling first part and checking SENATE LIST, I continued and the next part was for making payment which I choosed MASTER CARD but due to error or network issues that afternoon, it was displaying the HTML or php codes. So after several trials and no way to continue, I went to do finger print after which the 1-4 stages bio data form came up.
I completed that part and uploaded the signature and other marriage certificates / documents (As I was filling for my sis). Hence, I never saw where to choose STATE OF CHOICE.
What could be the problem? and what can I do?
but I have completed the registration and made payment this evening.
Thanks for your reply.
YOU HAVE TO CHECK HER DATE OF BIRTH STATED ON HER PERSONAL INFO.
greatproducts: Oga, the company where he works have come here several times to warn that he doesnt work with them anymore and you are still doing adverts for him. You even BOLDED his name like a deliberate attempt. I am aware of at least two occasions where customer goods were missing with Daniel and the company had to pay back the customer, one I remember was well over 40k. Now he is a freelancer just doing orders for customers who had this number back then, no ties to any company or organisation. Who do you hold if something happens to your items? Ok o
OGA AM AWARE OF THE UPDATE FROM KBM LOGISTICS. Well He did pick up my package and delivered. Note: DANIEL IS NOW WORKING FOR ANOTHER logistics company too. That's what he told me
I DON PICK UP MY PACKAGES, VERY VERY CLEAN LAPTOP WITH THE BOOK. DANIEL DID THE PICKUP ANS DELIVERY FOR ME. I WILL RECOMMEND HIM FOR THOSE OUTSIDE LAGOS FOR YOU PICK UP.
uyigideon: I compared the price of the products plus the shipping fee and other product with free shipping. I see that the price for shipping is not much.
uyigideon: Why are you people buying expensive product EBay or Amazon, in the name of they are from USA, 75% of the product america are using are brought from China, just that they must meet up to their standard. please do some calculations to see the actual money you are buying the products.
PLEASE CAN YOU GO ELSE WHERE TO DROP UR IDEAS AS YOU CAN SEE PEOPLE HERE ARE NOT NEW IN THIS BIZNESS.
