Did you become rich by staying away from yourself when you were poor? If not, you are not being factual here at all.
You can spend your whole life in the midst of rich people without becoming rich. You can mingle with the rich and become rich. You can mingle with the poor and never get rich. You can grow up, build your career and become rich in the midst of poor people. It all depends on you.
The poor people around you are never the reason you are poor. The fact is that when some people like you make money, they look for an excuse to maltreat and oppress the poor people around them. You need the poor to accommodate you when you can't sit with the rich. You consider the poor useless when you afford to sit with the rich. Inconsiderate and selfish humans.
You people operate with a very stupid ideology with which you see an innocent friend of a thief as a thief but see a poor friend of the rich as the poor he is.

PulaPower: My quote has nothing to do with Igbo being good or bad… You stated this:
Whenever Lagos State is ranked number one on the list for bad things, some people claim that Igbo people committing crimes in Lagos are the reason Lagos is number one on that list. I hope those people that make that claim will credit Igbo people in Lagos State for Lagos' position on this list.
Then I made reference from it… As per Igbo people are the only ones that do claim they’ve bought Lagos bla bla bla. Then I asked you, why should Lagos credit Igbos because if high number of institutions? Igbos are the ones the built the institutions or have Igbo bought all the institutions in Lagos that we didn’t know? Does "Some people" represent a particular tribe? Is there any tribe known as "Some people"? |

You go dey hear, it’s because Igbos have bought 80% of Lagos bla bla bla… But whenever a negative news about Lagos comes up, same Igbos will forget everything and hold yorubas onto it..
That being said… Why should they credit Igbos because Lagos has the highest institutions in Nigeria? Igbos are the ones that built the institutions? I didn't mention any tribe because I don't believe that all the people making such claims against the Igbo people are from only one tribe. In your own case, you are accusing only Igbo people because you sentimentally see Igbo as the only tribe with bad people. The difference is clear. |

The same story. https://www.nairaland.com/8304910/wifes-ex-back-romance-rekindling#133508969Nnamdipapa: Hello Nairalanders,
My name is Segun Ajayi(Not my real name), and I am a 35-year-old teacher based in Ibadan. I’ve been married to my wife, Ronke, for six years. Together, we have a daughter, Temiloluwa, who is three years old. I thought I had built a stable home with Ronke, but right now, I feel like a stranger in my own marriage, and it’s tearing me apart.
When I met Ronke, she was upfront about her past. She told me about her ex-boyfriend, Kunle, whom she dated for four years before they broke up. According to her, their relationship ended because Kunle was not ready for commitment. She told me she had moved on, and when we got married, I never doubted her love for me.
But everything changed three months ago when Kunle returned to Ibadan after living abroad for seven years. It started innocently—or so I thought. Kunle sent her a message on Facebook to "catch up." Ronke showed me the message and assured me it was nothing serious. She even said, "You’re my husband; he’s just my past." I trusted her.
A few weeks later, I started noticing changes in her behavior. She began spending more time on her phone, smiling at her screen. She became distant and irritable, often picking fights over trivial issues. I tried to brush it off, telling myself it was just stress from work.
Last month, I found out she had gone out to lunch with Kunle without telling me. When I confronted her, she said, "It’s nothing! We’re just friends catching up." But the way she avoided eye contact and acted defensive told me otherwise. I felt hurt, but I didn’t want to overreact, so I let it go.
The final blow came two weeks ago. I came home from work early to surprise her, and I overheard her on the phone with Kunle. She was laughing and saying things like, "You’ve always known how to make me happy" and "Sometimes I wonder what would have happened if we hadn’t broken up." My heart sank. When I confronted her, she broke down in tears and said she was "confused."
I love Ronke, and I want to fight for our marriage, but I feel like I’m losing her to Kunle. I’ve tried to talk to her, but she insists nothing is happening between them. She says she’s just nostalgic about the past. But how do I believe her when she keeps drifting further away from me?
Now, I’m stuck. I’ve considered reaching out to Kunle to warn him to stay away from my wife, but I don’t want to appear insecure or desperate. My best friend, Ade, thinks I should be firm and lay down the law, but my older sister, Bola, says I should focus on rebuilding the love in my marriage instead of blaming Kunle.
Nairalanders, I feel like a stranger in my own marriage. I don’t know what to do. Should I confront Kunle? Should I give Ronke an ultimatum? Or should I quietly walk away if she no longer loves me?
Please, I need your advice. How do I handle this without losing my sanity? Have you ever faced something like this? I am desperate for answers. |

Sapasenator: I am completely lost and need advice. My name is Olumide Adeyanju(Not my real name), and I’m a 42-year-old civil engineer based in Lagos. I’ve been married to my wife, Tola, for seven years. We have a son together, Jidenna, who is five years old. This childish part is very unnecessary and even makes you story appear fictional. How can a Yoruba lady who has had two Yoruba husbands give her child an Igbo name? We know you don't want to be traced. So, don't bother telling us your names and making a fool of yourself by saying that your son's name is Jidenna. You are a Yoruba, your wife is a Yoruba, her former husband is a Yoruba, so what inspired the Igbo name for your child? Sapasenator: Her behavior has changed so much. She’s more secretive, and I even found out she met up with him last Saturday without telling me. I wonder the colour of the blanket and how many rounds they went. Sapasenator: I’ve spoken to my elder brother, Kunle, and he thinks I should stand my ground and fight for my marriage. You can't win the battle. You fighting her can only make her to become more secretive that you will no longer find out anything going on between her and her ex. Sapasenator: But my best friend, Tunde, says I should let her go if she’s already emotionally checked out. Excellent. Sapasenator: Or should I quietly walk away and let her decide who she really wants to be with? YES. Unless you are willing to have a co husband. |

sparko1: Stop confusing yourself, I never mentioned sex, this discussion is about if true love can survive without money.
That said, love is physical, it's a physical attraction, you can pretend all you want, every one you love is based on a condition, a physical attribute that you find appealing, a connection that resonate with you.
The only being with Absolute Love is God, even parents love is conditional, they love you because you are their child and they feel this parental obligation to protect and love you.
If a guy tells you he loves you but he doesn't want to get anything physical related, my guy run oh, love is based on attraction, you can't love who you have never seen or heard.
Now to the crocks of the topic, A WOMAN'S LOVE IS CLOSELY RELATED TO WHAT SHE CAN GET, A MAN'S LOVE IS BASED ON WHAT HE SEES.
A woman can't love a man if the man can't be useful to her, it's very simple. You never mentioned sex but you spoke about girls being willing and wanting to sleep with a guy simply because the guy has a house and a car. If you are not directly or indirectly linking sex with true love, why did you give that illustration? |

sparko1: A married woman has pure intent towards a single guy 😂😂😂😂
I hail oh🙌🙌🙌
Forget the generation, A married man helping a single lady but doesn't want anything to do with her, just pure love😂😂😂
I can see you are a helpless romantic, there's no such thing as pure love with humans, everything has a condition.
Some people love to help just to hear praises and have a good feeling about be called a good person, same person might not allow you progress organically because they want you around coming for favors and hearing you singing their praises.
Everything has a condition, it might not be sexual but a great percentage of it is sexual especially from the opposite sex.
A married man with siblings and family relations that needs help, ignore some of those of his family and shower a single lady with goodies and she feels it's pure love because he hasn't tried to sleep with her.🙄🙄🙄 This depends on your experience. Experience guides belief, understanding and reasoning. |

sparko1: I think you don't understand what we are talking about.
Take for example a guy with his own place a car, enough food and money for himself and maybe even 2 more people if he has still considers himself poor.
Ladies will definitely be ready to sleep with him and stay with him in the hope that he picks them, he might not need to give them money, but the fact that they know he has it is sufficient for some, especially those playing the long game.
She just needs the assurance that you have it, and the hope that she'll become the main chick you spend on. Some ladies marry some guys with nothing and even lazy just because they see his family has money, ladies are very objective, it's guys that fall in love with a beautiful face and ASS.
Until you lose your job, with no family to help, no friends to help that you will know that there's nothing like true love. You are the one who doesn't understand what we are discussing here. We are not talking about people who are willing to give sexual pleasure. We are talking about true lovers. By the way, why do you think of sex whenever true love is mentioned? Have you forgotten that your true lover can be your fellow man who has no sexual interest in you? Don't you know that a woman's true lover can be her fellow woman and no sexual intention in the relationship? The mistake you people make is that you think that sex is part of love. Someone who truly loves you may be unable to give you sex while someone who doesn't love you will be willing, capable and always available to give you sex. I don't know who told most of the people in this world that a true lover must be a sexual partner. As a man, a woman can truly love you without having sexual feelings for you. A married woman can have pure interest in a single guy and tries to establish him. But the mistake you people make is that whenever a woman in that position tries to help a single guy, his mind will quickly tell him that she has sexually interested in him. Even if his mind doesn't tell him that, the people around him will try to convince him that she is being nice to him because she is sexually interested in him. The same goes to women. Good spirited married man may want to help single girls that are suffering simply because those men understand that suffering makes the girls vulnerable to men that will abuse the girls. But for most girls in this situation, their mind will deceive them into believing that those men definitely have sexual interesting them. Even on this forum, I've come across a post where a young girl was complaining that a married man has been so nice and spending on her for many years but has not asked her out. This clearly shows that the girl believed that the man is helping her definitely because he has sexual interest in her. This generation is so misguided to an extent that so many people no longer believe that the world still has selfless individuals. |
