lol dey play...

let us check it in dollar value, then we can make noise

in 2023, official exchange rate was 465 to 1 USD

that makes it N16 billion/ 465 = 34.41 million USD

in 2025 offical exchange rate ( average) was 1550 to 1 USD

that makes the revenue to be N70 billion /1550= 45.2 million USD

giving us a real growth of only 31%....

like i said... make dem dey play

Apology is a mark of strength and not weakness.

Sometimes, you don't have to fight to be a man.

The Nigerian government acknowledged it's mistake in its incursion into the airspace of a now unfriendly and hostile country due to a technical problem.

If Burkina Faso were to be a friendly country, the political brouhaha wouldn't have arisen.

The Burkinabe authorities were acting tough because they were being instigated by other forces who want to get at Nigeria through the back door.

Nigeria beat them to it by being politically and diplomatically wiser.

I no gree naim dey tear shirt!

Even a very powerful person also applies wisdom.

You are right.

Very unlikely of any military intervention. More like bullying through the media to make the government do what is right regarding the ongoing massacre.

But for sanctions that is a strong possibility. And we don't need that right now ( no matter how inconsequential we may think it is).

PoliticsRe: The New Tax Law Will Change Your Relationship by Inception(m): 6:21pm On Sep 19, 2025
SeriouslySense:
A more progressive Personal Income Tax (PIT) regime - The NTA changes the income brackets and applicable tax rates for each bracket. Individuals earning NGN800,000 or less per annum will now be exempt from tax on their income and gains, while higher income earners will be taxed at a higher rate up to 25%. The Act also increases the tax exemption threshold for compensation for loss of employment or injury from NGN10million to NGN50million.

I like this one
VAT at zero rate on essential goods and services - The NTA expands the list of zero-rated items to include essential goods and services such as basic food items, medical and pharmaceutical products, educational books and materials, electricity generation and transmission services, medical equipment and services, tuition fees, exports (excluding oil and gas exports) etc. The impact of this is that businesses selling these goods and services can recover their VAT costs, despite the zero rate which was previously not possible by law.

Fossil fuel surcharge: Introduces 5% levy to promote clean energy, with exemptions for kerosene, liquid propane gas (LPG), compressed natural gas (CNG) and renewable energy products

Not bad, but big companies 30% shocked
Section 56 of thes “small companies” as those with 50 million Nigerian Naira (NGN50m) or less in turnover and NGN250m or less in fixed assets, excluding professional servi NTA redefineces. Small companies are taxed at 0%, and others taxed at 30%.
This was reviewed upward to 100 million

It's very disturbing that every talented Nigerian dreams of leaving this country to work elsewhere. No country ever grows like that.

BTW, Qatar can never consider a Nigerian working in their country an expatriate. They call you an immigrant. The difference lies in where you come from and the opportunity your country offers you.
lol,

many Nigerians are in the middle East earning over 10K USD . They were practically begged to work there
