A typical Nigerian girl has this entitlement mentality.
They believe you must do everything for them.
You must give them money, take them out, buy gifts, make their hair, recharge their phones (and still do the calling) etc.

You must give them money before they buy you gift. And they will only use 10% of that money for your usual boxers, singlet or roll-on birthday present.

She is never altruistic or selfless. If she does something for you, she expects you to do something even greater for her in return. It is until you date a foreign chick you realize a vast majority of Nigerian girls have nothing to offer.

A selfless, generous Nigerian girl is like a Taliban Christian. They don't exist.

Business / Re: My Ordeal With My Worker Today. by Inception(m): 5:44pm On Aug 25, 2021
SeaTrade:
Lol you are still very naive.
I run my business like a cartel,I am very careful of any of my rent-a-nigga-a-day employees knowing the Ins and outs of my business.
I scatter it so much so that even a supercomputer will be confused.
The one thing I don't do is trust, and I was built with this inborn paranoia that makes me to think people are always after me,or in this case my business, So I am always running and is always ahead of any possible threat's thought even though no one is chasing.
Rule number one;
have no steady team, everyone is replaceable and subject to movement.Even If you can afford to,but just don't do so to keep trade secrets a secret.
And avoid working with people who think they are smart and ambitious. If you are so smart, create your own business,no come dey form Einstein on a person's trade that took sweat and blood to build so you can become his/her competition .Bleep that!
Pay people well,'not so smart' people will always get comfortable with what they presume is huge as what you give them, they get comfortable ,relent and literally turn off their brains and become something worse than a slave, this is good grin grin
Better to have a controllable dummy working for you than a genius, geniuses are very smart and they pick things fast and sooner than later, they start seeing reasons why they can be the next you.
Discuss and interact very well with your people, when you smell so much knowledge from a person, let him/her go ASAP.That is a very huge threat you are harbouring in the name of employee, run very fast.
2)Nobody that works with you should meet your customer's directly from the source,
There should be one guy that delivers to another guy that is also very lost who in turn delivers to the client, and different people keep meeting the guys that deliver to clients daily,so there is no one to tell you where the product is coming from, because yes,you are all confused. If you don't confuse them and use same people always,it is very easy for them to connive and steal or maybe redirect your client(s) to other sources,so yes, leave them confused. That's one thing you should be very good at,confusing people and leaving them lost!! grin gringrin
3) Don't relax!!All big clients(fear people with money, they have a lot of options. All they need is to know what you know and then Bleep you over) should be served by you and you only, small clients can be served by others because they wouldn't fight through all that confusion just to win those small people whose survival is at your mercy because they don't have money,
So if at all they succeed to bypass your firewall, where them want see money to use run deal with your conniving ass employee huh? undecided grin grin grin
When you are chasing them like a hawk to make sure they pay old debt very fast and collect more credit so as to remove purchasing power they will use to patronise your competition from their hands. grin grin grin

It is stressful, but it was worth it.
You are lazy, and not very smart. You are part of the people dependent on an imaginary figure to succeed.Wake up,it is not real.
Taking your girl that you must have foolishly let her know everything about your business to meet your client was a very daft move. Why was she tgere ffs? undecided
Next time, you go see the client ALONE,make the deal ALONE,bring the workload and share with your girl in a place far from your marketshare, then take the product to the client alone, get paid alone and move!!That way even if you are expensive, there is no hungrier person to cut a lesser deal with the client on your fee.
What we're you thinking?gosh!!
The only time you can relax in business and rely on employees is when you own /control supply or have solid trade pacts with supply,no be any small thing employee this, employee that, unto big madam weh you be na,now them don dey show big madam shege banza mana ,madam is pained.
You dey open market dey form boss, hahahaahahahahahahahajajajaahahahaha grin cheesy

Will it be full 36” or 33”? grin Ducking and weaving.

Seriously though, why can’t we make this in Nigeria? It’s straightforward enough.

Funny enough, the manufacturing process is very simple. More like how steel panels are manufactured in a car assembly plant (closed die forging)

The downside is that initial set up and tooling cost is prohibitively high. and high demand must be assured to be profitable.

At a time i was seriously thinking of designing and building a CNC plasma cutter (with a cutting table of 2.5mx 8m ) to offer metal design cutting services but Naija wahala no gree me embarassed

Businesses keep evolving. The business environment keeps evolving. The customers keep evolving. There is constant change. However, this change has mostly to do only with the services demanded by customers and the way to deliver the service. Product quality, identity, and functionality stay the same.

For example, 1982 Benz is the 'same' as 2021 Benz. What "changed" are the features (services) demanded by 2021 customers - padded, internet connection, sat-nav, electric engine, sleek design, eco friendly, etc. But a person born in 1982 who went into a coma and came to in 2021 will still recognize a Benz even from a distance.

Another example, Savings Account in 1982 with passbook is the same in 2021. What "changed" are computers, the internet, and app. But savings account na savings account. This is recognized as PRODUCT IDENTITY. Some call it an instrument. What have all these got to do with you and your aggrieved client? Plenty.

You need to have PRODUCT IDENTITY. You cannot supply a 3.5ft (for example) door to Mr A and call it a 3ft door and supply a 2.5ft door to Mrs B and call it a 3ft door. No identity. A 3ft door is a 3ft door. A 4ft door is a 4ft door. Period. It is not your responsibility or prerogative if it would fit. That's the customer's prerogative. You are essentially a manufacturer who manufactures to measure. If the customer says please give me 3ft door; you price your product appropriately and give them 3ft door. Shikena.

I bought a house in South East London that needs modernization. I need to install a footpath wrought iron (garden) gate. So I went online. See the attached photo. This will give you an idea of how these things are done. Look carefully at the photo, you will see the size (Dimensions) and even weight. This is called PRODUCT SPECIFICATION. Look carefully again, you will see where the suppliers said "Fits a post to post GAP of 762mm . So upfront, I know what I'm ordering. Now if the gate is delivered and the specification doesn't match my invoice, I will return the product for a refund at the cost of the supplier. It is not what I ordered they delivered. Any explanation that I need to knock down walls or choke any gap to make the product fit is not acceptable. This is the issue you are currently having.

I'm not expecting you to start drafting (drawing) products. This will be costly and if you pass on this cost to your customers, they will complain. But I'm expecting you to include the dimensions in your invoice and deliver exactly the dimensions so contained. And leave the rest for the customer.

So going forward, write down the PRODUCT SPECIFICATION in your invoice issued to customers and as customer service, you may add "this product will fit an opening of bla, bla, bla". Then deliver exactly the dimensions in the invoice. You will be good.

Your post here is one that should be obtainable in any sane, modern Human civilization.

But alas! Nigeria is not a civil society (shout patriotism all you want, that is the truth).

Most of us here visit merchant sites such as E bay and Amazon (even Ali express). If i request for an item and the the specifications meets my needs, I purchase. If it gets to me and it does not meet the criteria as advertised by the seller, there is a policy that gives me the right to a refund or replace (in some cases whether or not i return the item). That is a system that works because it has been tested by many of us here.

Why is our own different? The complainant ordered for a 3 ft door (36 in) and you supplied her a 33 in door, giving your ' judgement' of measurement as an excuse. Now the doors (2 of them, after managing 3) are useless to her. And some people here are say she should temper Justice with mercy. Some people are even insulting her here for an expectation she paid for in full!

HOW DID WE GET HERE FOR GOD'S SAKE! NO ACCOUNTABILITY!

How then can we do away with the Chinese , Indians and Americans/Europeans when our own standard of morality and professionalism is nothing compared to even the Beninese and Togolese!

May God Help us all.

I come to make war angry

1. Convert half into a stable currency. It could be USD, EUR or even CFA Franc. If you put in bitcoin, put less than 10% (my risk preference).

2. Buy or put down payment on a residential property. This eliminates the majority of your rent/housing costs for the foreseeable future. You could also use this property for rental income. You could rent out a room, bq, or the entire property if you already have a residence.

3. Invest in stocks. Invest in the Nigerian stock exchange but also invest, preferably more than half, in US/Canada/UK ETFs. I believe Trove works in Nigeria. This is somehow tied to #1. You could buy a stable USD bond, bond ETF or traditional index ETF that follows the NASDAQ, S&P500 or/and the entire market.

4. Invest in 2 - 5 businesses in which you could break even within 6 months to a year:
- Drying & packaging fish (last estimate years ago came under 300k
- Rearing fish: capital intensive ~ 500k minimum. Time conscious.
- Uber/Bolt (buy a Nigerian used car for 400k to 1M and do hire purchase at ~ #15k+ a week

The smartest of them all.

2205 C300 2017 Engine rebuild.
Who say we don't carry out rebuilding of engine?

M274 2.0t are scandalously notorious for damaging their engine. In this car, the owner reported that the car suddenly shut down on the road when he was driving. Engine was seized stiff and wouldn't roll.

Opening up the engine revealed some terrible things.
Crankshaft journal bearings on some of the cylinder had melted and fused together with the crankshaft, oil pump failed, main engine bearing failed, timing stretched, sprocket on intake camshaft damaged, 2 pistons cracked, one broken and its piece fallen off into the engine, piston rings fused hard to the damaged pistons, some scouring on the cylinder bores, turbo failed.

Of course the engine was prohibitively expensive and purchasing another engine wasn't a guaranteed move due to the well documented failures of these engines.

Best move was to rebuild and we did using genuine brand new parts and processes.
Dedicated to officialDJ.
This reminds me of one kind of Hyundai engine like that grin
