No vibrations noticed, I usually spend about an hour in the vehicle while it's idling, before I go home.

Why Do you ask? Hope your own is not vibrating ?

I was not enjoying the gear shifts, so I reset the transmission PCM/ECM and Engine ECM/PCM.

The difference was like black and white, I do not know if this vehicle has adaptive gear selection, but it responds much better now.

No special work done today, have to balance work and play, most of you viewing this thread have vehicles in my workshop, and if I leave ya vehicle to tell you tori, unna go vex

So only thing done today was to drain water from the radiator and install coolant

I have been driving my thing like that.

Update engine came in from the US on the 15th of this month. Picked up on 17th(Saturday). Unboxing of the engine loading. This box crate nawa. Engine looking shinny like brand new. Pix loading........ My wife bought me a brand new safety boot on my birthday. I reserved it for this job.

I hate sport editions because of the steering wheel....... This car needs paint job too at least on the bumper........ Logo missing........ @ Gazzuzz How much is the gear?

Car towed into workshop, in reverse!! It was very stressful, unfortunately no pictures for that.

Engine was taken down and separated from the transmission.

Engine oil drained and showed signs of metal chips at the base.

Engine oil pan removed, and there are larger aluminum parts, engine had previously been opened, signs of sludge build up, and that was it, my mind was made up, I am not working with this engine, I will rather keep it for parts.



Day 2, asked my boss if I could take the day off to go look for the engine, and he gave me the go ahead , it was raining, straight to ladipo.......

When buying engines or transmissions, I usually do not buy them in bits, I prefer the whole package. IT IS MORE EXPENSIVE, but I am rewarded with parts.

I started scouting from 1 warehouse to another, searching for a K24AZ3 engine.

Now my engine has 2 Vtech solenoids at back of the engine and 2Vtech switches.




I found over 10engines but none had the 4 sensors, and they did not meet my cleanliness standards, so Day2 no engine was bought.

Day3, a little bird told me about a container that would be off loaded, and there were 3Very clean K24AZ3 Engines inside.

Container off loaded and it was a joyous moment..... see engine

Rear struts will be replaced with KYB japan.

Vehicle will be taken for front and rear alignment work in the morning.

The wheels were out because someone tampered with the rear settings in the past without taking vehicle for rear wheel alignment.

I love this hyundai sonata but people always tell me it is not strong enough and the resell value is nothing to write home about.
Infact one insist i buy benz e320 2005 or acura TSX 2010 Instead of the sonata..

Please i need advice on which i can go for with reason and most important i want to know things about the sonata.
So hard to make choice right now.
