I do not believe that a role model should necessarily be someone that is older as one’s experience counts far more than the number of years that they have been on the planet.

Someone once wrote and I quote

I genuinely believe that Malala is an exceptional role model and if I’m honest, I would be slightly puzzled and concerned if someone disagreed on this point. Through her experiences and opinions she has taught us so many lessons such as:

Truly value and appreciate your education;

Acknowledge the rights and opportunities that you have;

Try not to be afraid of the unknown;

Take calculated risks to highlight injustices; and
Don’t every underestimate the significance and potential of someone – especially because they’re young.

I especially want to highlight that Malala’s work on promoting education. Since I was younger, I always valued my education because I knew that eventually the knowledge that I acquired would translate into giving me options and opportunities in life, especially when there were certain factors against me.

In conclusion, I would highly recommend that you take the time to read, “I am Malala” by Malala Yousafzai and visualise the world through her eyes and see if you feel a little bit differently about the things happening in your life and how you can take a step forward in changing the world. Remember, a role model does not have to be someone who is older than you.

No doubt. Tho I once hate him cos he played a very big role in the media that helped this government in to power. But the hatred ain't there anymore cos most of what he said are true. Now am a very big fan of JJ. The guy his good I must admit.
