It concerns me as I am a citizen of this country and I have the right to question the use of taxpayers funds as I would on the receiving end of whatever ill thought of project the government intends to use those funds for Biodun556: That one doesn't concern you |

Is this the right time for the government to bring up this project? How and who would be the financiers? What loans or contracts would the government take for this project? I personally feel this project is a fraud and just an avenue for siphoning billions into some people's pockets Biodun556: Coastal road is named as such because the states sharing the road houses Nigerian ports. It does mean that the whole road will pass on water |
Politics › Re: Economic Importance Of Lagos Calabar Coastal High Way by Incredible128: 8:50pm On May 01, 2024 |
My other question is, must everything be about Lagos? What happened to opening the other ports down the river and making them viable for shipping? Lagos is already congested and this(if it is even completeed)is a white elephant project and to buttress my point, I ask that you go over your write-up again and ask yourself these questions : what special economic benefit would this project have on the economy that warrants spending this huge amount? Is this the right time to go about this (white elephant) project? emkz: Similar benefits of roads include:
(1) Open up rural areas to industrialization by connecting rural areas to urban centers. (2) Reducing commuting time for travellers. (3) Enhancing the economies of local communities through job creation and trade. (4) Enhancing cultural cocktails and boosting tourism potentials. (5) Revenue generation through tolls in the long term. (6) Reducing people's expenses. If I can drive to my office in Lagos in one hour and live somewhere accommodation is cheaper. |

Which questions? Do they have the mental capacity to think of such talkless of asking?😂😂😂 They're only after their pay and nothing else😂😂, after all, their believe is "man must survive"; they think of what their bellies would consume now not minding the repercussions tomorrow 😂😂; what baffles me's that a large percentage of these propagandists have not the financial capacity to run elsewhere should the country collapse Nightwolf1: Your ignorance is what made you to believe that fraudulent map.
The shorelines in Rivers State and Bayelsa state including Delta is not same as Lagos state.
Because the criminals wanted to steal in trillions with this project, they never told you that coastal areas in the aforementioned States are peoples ancestral homes. It is not exactly what you have in Lagos state.
Are you going to uproot those people from their swampy villages with mangrove forests and creeks because of coastal highway?
Travel and see, that is part of education. Since you have failed to name the locations where this fraudulent road will pass through, then begin to think now and ask Thièfnubu your criminally minded uncle serious questions about this project. |

They just ended up adopting emefiele's way; it's expected Ur currency rises if u defend it but the problem only surfaces when u don't how money anymore to defend, so let's just hope they have other tricks up their sleeve to aid this continuous rise if not, we'll all be in trouble worse than we are now Sannisege: Rufai Oseni and his Igbo blodas will not like this news. The thing is, the customers don't get value for their money; as the O.P sated, they don't get up to the 20hrs of power supply that classifies them as band A as stated by AEDC but they still pay the full price for being on band A; if this is not pure daylight robbery, I don't know what is Elvis2kay: Nigerians think to generate eletric power na joke. |
Politics › Re: Electricity Tarriff Hike: "AEDC Want To Send Me Back To The Village" by Incredible128: 11:41am On Apr 04, 2024 |
Abeg, how many band A customers enjoy 20 hours of power supply as they claimed? SmartPolician: Those bands exist. Some parts of town enjoy power supply more than others. Places with a high concentration of industries in a state are more likely to enjoy power more than middle-class residential areas. Highbrow residential areas are more likely to enjoy power more than slums.
However, the problem of our discos is that they will implement this new policy the Nigerian way, meaning that everyone is automatically in Band A |
