If Tinubu doesn't have sense, he should continue listening to IMF; has the IMF ever governed a country? Do they know the dynamics of running one? Have they ever practiced the theories they recommend to countries? A country cannot run without some form of subsidies in some critical sectors, and the Nigerian economy is not a regular one where normal economic policies work, there has to be meticulous planning and replanning before a policy works right here because there are a lot of "hoodlums" who profit off the failures of the country and these people have immense power and have their home in the corridors of power

Lol... I haven't seen the movie to know how he came to his conclusions. Also, I'm not sure what he intends to achieve with that analysis/advice. However, it's not uncommon for people to view or analyze situations, events, stories, movies, etc. through the lense of thier preconceived mindset. NL guys are always quick to advise women, but 99% of the time, this is always geared towards women widening the window of thier tolerance to accommodate more misgivings from men. I don't have any issues with tolerance provided it goes both ways, but that's hardly ever the case. The OP conveniently ignored the fact that a lot of women lose thier husbands due to domestic violence, cheating or even death. Is he now suggesting that these women should stick to thier husbands and take it all? Ok, let's assume he's only advising those "bad" ladies that leave thier spouses for the silliest reasons, why doesn't he, in that same breath, advise the men that kick out thier wives with thier actions? Why doesn't he tell them that thier children might suffer the consequences? Why doesn't he advise the men that mess around with the hearts of these single mothers just to "chop and go"? Why is he making it as these things are men's birthright and the women are the ones that have to alter thier ways to accommodate the nature of men? Anyway, it's true that fathers play a big role in the lives of thier kids. This is not because a woman cannot bring the finance, sternness or authority the stereotypical man is known for but because raising a child is simply a difficult task for one person regardless of gender. However, we must never lose sight of the fact that a child raised by a single parent is better off than one raised in a violent home and in many cases, they do end up well. So sometimes, parting ways could be in the best interest of the kids.

Do you know that there are separate graphics cards that perform worse that integrated ones? Although separate vrams are good, you don't just say generally that all vrams are better than integrated ones; for example, would you say a 2gb Nvidia gt710 is better that the integrated graphics card of say an Intel i5 8th gen or 11th gen?

There are lots of almost useless but beautiful laptops been sold online and offline. Any laptop without a dedicated graphics or Video ram is useless for an average enlightened young person in today's world.
Unless your laptop is for desktop publishing, browsing internet and watching videos alone. If you intend to use it for anything graphics or programming or gaming,make sure to get the one with Vram. How much Vram is now dependent on how far you intend to stretch your Pc in terms of graphics or gaming.
Secondly,if you intend to run on windows 11 O.S, make sure your Pc intel CPU is at least 8th gen or AMD Ryzen 2000 or newer. Or else you won't be able to install windows 11.
Note: There are now windows 11 .iso file(No TPM) that has been worked on to run on any PC, windows 10 can run on. But you will never be able to get windows updates,so it's better to have Windows 10 that still gets windows updates.

It all boils down to your budget, how much are you willing to spend? Anyways, try checking ikechukz, I think he has a variety of laptops that he's been advertising on nairaland

The movie was cool. A Nollywood movie I actually enjoyed in a long while.

That is, a male child will always need their father.

She gave birth to five children and all their fathers were absent. It's a lesson for women. Once you spoil your life, men will continue to chop and go.

Also, statistics shows that male children raised by single mothers tends to be the "bad eggs" in the society.

And we all saw that in the movie. Not even one of the children turned out fine for the society. Instead, they were filled with that selfish love that put only their needs into consideration and never the needs of others.

And that's the kind of love women can give their children. Only a father's disciplinary love tells the child that other's needs are important.

It is the father that seeks to make sure the male child, no matter how strong he is, he never used that strength for his own benefits alone.

If she had thought the children to protect others and not just herself, they probably would have turned out fine.

Overall, I think the movie was entertaining but the lessons were still there except you choose to ignore it.

As a result, your local DISCO is owing money, and at least 3 of them have been taken over by the banks. Up till today...many of our DISCOS have not broken even. THREE of them, and I mean three of them, have been taken over by their creditors, one has been taken over defacto by the government.

Why...because Nigerians do not want to pay their power bills at market price. We think we must have power for free.


Meanwhile, GSM companies, if the antenna spoil, dem go replace am. Your local provision store owner, if he runs out of milk today, he will replace it within a few hours, if not tomorrow latest....because they are allowed to do something the power sector is not allowed to do. Sell at market price.

I went to a private school for primary school, and then for secondary school, na government school I go. My school fees in the primary school were at one point three times what I eventually was paying in the government secondary school I went to....yet in the primary school, in over 6 years of being there it was two times I bought exercise book for myself...the second time, because the supplier was late,and I was advised to buy a book...anyway, normal service was resumed in a few days.

My Samsung S10e went off since november and has refused to come on, I was on Whatsapp when it freezed then went off, it restarted and went off again, this pattern repeated for some time before it totlly shut down and has refused to come on. I took it for repairs and after several checks, they couldn't detect what was wrong with it cos the battery and power ic are okay so they concluded it was the motherboard. I placed an order for the motherboard last month but it wasn't shipped, I was just recently refunded.

Thing is while I was waiting for my order to be shipped, i tried turning it on again and the phone came up, I even fully charged it and operated it for a while before the drama started again, going off and on till it stopped. So I don't know now if it's still the motherboard or something else entirely, make I no go waste money for motherboard and the issue still persist.

It is, some people buy from there; the thing is to check reviews of that stores, one thing I do is to check stores with more sold units and good ratings( from 4.0 or so and above) i.e after checking reviews; the only ish u'll have is that it ships with the OS for the Chinese market, but there are options provided by the seller where you can choose if you want them to install playstore for you(you can install it manually if you so wish). When shipping, do not use free shipping as I think some phone stores offer this; free shipped items mostly end up in the post office and I've heard some bad stories from there . Also, there ae some tricks to avoid taxing of items as I think some items above a certain amount are taxable by the Nigerian government

Your comment is true but know that our current economy doesn't allow us to reap the benefits of this depreciation, take for instance the smartphone industry, let's use the iPhone 11(all variants of it) as an example, Do u know that it still sells for the the same price with some variants selling higher than the price it initially debuted with? When it released, I think it was in the region of 300 and something thousand(that was in 2019) currently, it still sells at that price or even higher. This doesn't mean I'm in support of the car price listed here though, it seems a little bit steep to me(although I don't know much about the price of cars)

Sorry, my bad; I tend to mix them together , vivo and oppo have same parent company though; that aside, I searched, and it seems the flagship of Oppo i.e the find x6 pro can be gotten for cheaper than the s23 ultra

X100 Pro is for Vivo. Oppo is the Find X series. The upcoming Find X7 Ultra is their next flagship

For the Huawei, there are workarounds for the playstore thingy (you should know that as a non "tech noob" (no offense)) and if one is to compare flagships from theirs and other top brands, you would be surprised of their performance compared to their peers. Secondly , the oppo x100 pro's cheaper than the s23 ultra; and third, since we're not comparing market share and popularity of different smartphone brands, I still maintain that the Sony is still a strong contender, especially in the camera department (I think you should check reviews of the phone). Not everything's Samsung or iPhone, you should know that they do not excel in all departments, they have their strengths and weaknesses
